The Tulkun returned from their months long migration and she was just so peaceful in the water. You couldn't swim with the Tulkun. It was a lifelong punishment you had to endure due to your father's mistakes.
While everyone rushed to the ocean to reconnect with their brothers and sisters you sat on the beach watching. Villagers didn't want you in the waters no ways. Said you would poison it. It hurt you yes but watching the Tulkun splash in all their glory was good enough for you.
Then your eyes caught her. The daughter of the Tsahik and Olo'eyktan. You caught suddden glimpse of her. Usually in the healing pods with her mother. You never looked her way through. She had pretty strong opinions about you. You knew. Everyone had "strong" opinions about you.
She was very blunt. Her mother always chastised her for it. Told her being that way would never attract a man. Man needed a woman who where gentle, loving, caring. A woman who listened and sat back.
You adored her blunt personality. The way she would strut around the village. She knew her worth and didn't settle for what her mother wanted for her. You couldn't help but stare. She was one of a kind. Not many like her.
"Do you always stare", you blinked twice before shaking your head softly. You looked up and she was right in front of you. Water rolled down her body gracefully and you couldn't help but stare. She was beautiful and not just because of her body. She was just absolutely stunning.
A quick hand connected with your face and you fell on your ass in shock. She looked offended and very angry. You felt stares and she glared at you.
"I'm sorry princess. Forgive me", she scoffed and walked away kicking sand in your face. You held your cheek and watched her walk off before standing. People stared and started to laugh. You let out a slight puff of air before going back to your marui pod. It was away from other pods. You where outcast. You could not be with others. It was your forever punishment.
——————- "Ronal fix your face. If you frown so much you'll create wrinkles", Ronal rolled her eyes at her mother. She wrung the remaining water from her hair ignoring the Tsahik. If Ronal never had kids she would actually take the time to love them. Like a mother should.
The Olo'eyktan waved off his wife before pressing a kiss to Ronal's forehead. She smiled softly as her father sat on the floor of the pod. They where close. Mainly because he didn't push responsibility and duties down Ronal's throat. She wanted her to live before she was sworn off to a man she didn't want to marry.
