He let me enter the café first. I like the ambiance of this place, it screams peace. I really need that right now. Peace of mind.

“I’ll order for us. What do you want?” he asked.

The menu is in the table. We sit first and check the menu. Bukod sa frappe at iba pang drinks, may mga cakes, cupcakes and cookies din silang ino-offer. Oh! There’s some meals, too.

This is not just a café, huh?

“I want to try this,” I said and point the coffee that I want to try.

I also added three pieces of cookies, para balance sa kapeng gusto ko.

“Okay. Wait me here,” he said and left me here.

While waiting for him, I get my phone and check if there’s a message. CA messaged me. There’s a message from Jom, too. I open Jom’s message first.

My Jomjom:

Ate, are you home?

That’s just minutes ago. I replied and tell him that I’m not home yet. I asked him why, and if he got home now.

CA:

Where are you?

And why is she asking me? Aayain niya na naman kaya ako sa kung saan? May trabaho rin naman siya ngayon.

Ako:

Around Malate. Why?

It took her minute before she replied. Asking why I am here and who’s with me right now. She even called.

“I’m here at Blocleaf Café,” I said.

[“With whom?”] she asked, sounds curious.

I look at the counter. Kurzle Nuage is now talking to the lady for our order. The lady looks pabebe while talking to him. Tss.

“With Kurzle Nuage,” I said and look away from the counter.

[“What?!”] she shouted. “OMG! YOU BITCH! MAY HINDI KA BA SINASABI SA AKIN?”]

Nailayo ko ang phone ko sa tainga ko dahil sa lakas ng pagkakasabi niya. Shit! Daig pa niya nakahigh volume na speaker.

“We had a meeting earlier. And he waited for me and ask me to hang out.”

I explained it to her so she didn’t conclude or think something. Alam ko ang takbo ng isip nito. Baka nga ngayon pa lang naiisip niyang may namamagitan na sa amin ni Kurzle Nuage.

[“I’ll go there. Wait me, okay?”] Then she ended the call.

Huh? What?

Bakit siya pupunta?

CA:

Don’t worry, I won’t disturb you two. Gusto ko lang kayong makita na magkasama. Sa ibang table ako, and act like we don’t know each other, okay?

I snorted. This girl is such a marites. Hindi palalampasin ang chismis talaga.

Kurzle Nuage place the tray with coffee and cookies in front of me. And in his other hand is his frappe. Wala siyang ibang order, iyon lang talaga.

“I wanna try this,” he said and lift a bit the frappe he’s holding.

I nod. I get my coffee and cookies out of the tray. And Kurzle Nuage get the tray and stood up. He put it in the counter again.

Inabala ko ang sarili ko sa pag-alis ng nuts na nasa cookies. May nuts pala, hindi ko napansin. I’m allergic to nuts. Kung bigla mang magrereact ang body ko kapag kinain ko ang cookies na ’to, then I’ll stop eating and drink my med, I have it in my bag.
