Parabatai lost -2

I just cry silently into Magnus' chest filled with worry. after awhile I pull out my phone and send a message to Raphael saying I am back at the institute and I will come see him as soon as possible before I get up.

"I need to go talk to this Aldertree guy but I will be back once I am done." I peck Magnus' lips and Alec's forehead before walking out the door and to the main office. I knock and hear a voice say come in and I open the door to find the guy from earlier sitting on a sofa before me with some hot drink that I quickly recognize as hot chocolate sitting in a mug on the opposite side of the table.

"Its nice to finally meet you Adelina, I am Victor Aldertree the new head of the new York institute. Please have a seat and tell me what happened."

I nod and sit down grabbing the hot chocolate before I start. "I woke up chained by some special chains that prevented me from doing anything and Valentine was there with Hodge and the cup and a god damn army to big to count. I ended up falling asleep and waking up in a bed room still chained but the chain was longer so I was able to leave the room. I walked around until I found this large open area filled with down-worlders locked away in cages like they were animals. While returning I managed to get a stele. I used the stele to break the chains, found Jace, grabbed the wolf Valentine was about to kill and used my energy to remove the wards temporarily as we all jumped but I ended up getting split up from Jace while we were in the water. Now can I please return to my mate that is dying as we speak?"

"Okay then, you may leave." After leaving I find Izzy and Clary and explain to them what happened in more detail and they tell me they will find him and I quickly head to Magnus and Alec.

When I enter I sit down next to Alec and pull out my laptop from my bag and turn to Magnus as it loads. "You can draw from me if you need to remember." Magnus nods but doesn't say anything so I turn to my laptop screen and find an email containing pictures for each of the main rooms and a list of the other ones and I smile at each of them before emailing a response saying I will buy the house. I am just about to respond when Izzy comes in with a phone.

"Jace is on the phone." She says and I quickly take it from him.

"Jace its me, are you okay. you need to get back to Alec, he needs you." I explain worry clear in my voice.

"What do you mean why?"

"He tried tracking you with his Parbati rune but now he's in a coma like thing. he was looking for you so you're the only one who can help him, I'll give the phone back to Izzy now." I say before passing it over and going back to shopping for furniture and finding some-one to install it all for me I want a place for all of my mates to go to as soon as possible.

I hear Alec muttering and I shut the laptop and grab his hand just as Aldertree walks in. "You put in a request to transfer you're brother to Idris."

"My parents put in the request." Izzy says boldly.

"Alec isn't leaving this institute, I'm sure his warlock friend can figure something out." I want to hit him when he finishes speaking but I force myself not to move instead and focus on the soft rise and fall of Alec's chest as he breathes and I stop listening to what they are saying.

I decide to grab my notebook and find a drawing on a fox and make it come to life and it walks over to Alec and then fades onto his neck. I gently stroke over the creature and I focus on it so much so that I don't notice Magnus attacking the guard whose name I can't remember for anything. I only pay attention once again when Magnus taps my shoulder and motions to the portal.

I get up and grab my bag as Magnus uses magic to portal him to his loft and I hold Magnus' hand and follow. I sit down beside Alec and hold his hand and just stare at him. eventually I end up slipping into unconsciousness. when I wake up I don't know how much time has passed but now Jace is there holding Alec's other hand and saying something that I don't quiet register. Instead I focus on the rise and fall of Alec's chest and pushing healing energy into him, forcing his heart to keep beating.

I only stop when the rise and fall of his chest does and I cry as I watch as Jace hugs his body. I sigh in relief when Alec mutter's something back and wakes up. I let the boys have their moment but keep my hand in Alec's refusing to let go.

The moment is cut short by Victor Aldertree walking in like he owns the place. "Jace Wayland you are hereby sentenced to the city of bones to wait for your trail for the charge of high treason and assisting Valentine in a war against the clave."

"Wait what, what the hell's going on?" Alec asks breathlessly.

"Its alright Alec, all that matters is that you're back." Jace says and after a few seconds of deliberation I let go of Alec's hand and rush to Jace.

I wrap my arms around him and bring his lips to mine. When I pull away I rest my forehead against his. "Stay safe, okay, I love you." With my eyes full of tears I turn away and back to Alec and I quickly grab his hand once again and begin stroking his head.

I can't watch as they take him away so I just look at Alec instead.
