dead mans party -2 

Me and Alec walk quietly back to the institute not talking much and enter through the back door. When we walk in no-one looks our way as Alec opens the weapons and pulls out a bow and some arrows.

He sets them down on a table and begins running his stele across each arrow. "You know, I learnt archery when I was young." I say as I sit on the table watching him and messing around with my staff. "I was really good too, after two weeks there wasn't a day I didn't miss a shot, moving or not."

"Really, I bet you couldn't beat me." Alec challenges making me smirk at him.

"Bet I could, we'll have test it when we finally get the chance." I say with a smile before I notice the trainer from the other day walking over.

"Alec, Adelina I didn't know you both were here." He says before taking a sip of his drink with a smirk.

"Ufh yeah I um." I giggle at Alec fumbling over his words.

"Don't tell me, that way I won't have to report you."

"It's just that Clary is-" Alec starts but the trainer- Hodge- cuts him off.

"That girl is Valentines-" his rune begins to burning he winces. "The monsters daughter."

"And I'm not?" I ask with an eyebrow raised. "Valentine also sired me, half my genes come from him."

"You are different, you are blessed in a way much greater than any other." I scoff but don't retort. "Anyway, there must be some reason why the roaches are coming out of the word work. Leave you to it."

"Hodge, thankyou." Alec says and I just lay back on the table and leave them be instead thinking about Jace alone with Clary.

" Hey Alec, Jace wouldn't do anything with Clary would he?" I ask worried about the two of them alone together. Don't get me wrong I don't expect anything to happen but my nerves are going haywire.

"No, Jace already cares about you too much to do that, I can't say the same about your sister." Is his sharp response and I don't say anything. Instead I find a fine liner on the table and begin drawing a dragon on my left arm. I take off Jace's leather jacket and draw all the way up to my shoulder while I wait.

"Impressive." Alec says and I look up and smile. "Come on, let's get going." I nod and throw the jacket over my right shoulder as I grab my staff and skip after Alec to the place we are meeting Izzy.

"Izzy." Alec called when we got close. "I got your text, where exactly are we?" Alec asks as we look around the dim room.

"Its an old meat packer service entrance, if we go through there we will come up into the basement of the hotel du mort. perfect right?" Izzy says making me smile and nod silently. "We distract the vamps, Clary and Jace have time to find Simon." I feel a pang in my chest when Izzy says this, I'm not really sure why. Jace is my soulmate and I trust him and Clary is my sister. my sister that's older, prettier and better than me in every way.

I shake my head to get rid of these thoughts, just because Simon fell in love with Clary doesn't mean everyone will.

"You have fairy dust on your dress." I look up when Alec says that and then down to Izzy's dress with a slight smirk. "And I hate being the distraction."

"Yeah it is annoying because someone else gets the credit." i complain as i skip ahead of them.

"Lina wait." i hear Alec call and I freeze and turn to face them. I watch Alec pull out his stele before grabbing my right arm and drawing two runes making me his. "this one makes you silent and this one stops you from being encantoed." I nod as we walk closer.

Izzy and Alec discuss something while I walk ahead of them messing with my staff as we enter the hotels basement. Izzy opens a door only to find many vampires behind it. Alec and Izzy hold the door while I use my staff to cut a metal pole and jam it through the door. "Whoever said the pen is nighters than the sword was an idiot." Izzy says and I laugh and step away from the door.

"When you're right, you're right." Alec says as we get ready to fight.

"Do you think they know ehere we are." Izzy asks and I chuckle.

"That's the whole idea right?" I retort. "How long do you think we need to distribute them for?" I ask and I twirl my staff it feeling natural in my hands.

"Ten more minutes." Is izzys reply.

"Ten minutes, are you kidding we leave for lunch in five." Alec says as he pulls out an arrow and I splut my staff in two.

"Then let's distract them, you better get ready." Izzy says as Alec draws an arrow.

Izzy gets the first one but Alec misses the second and gets the third one that rubs in, I throw half of my staff and use the other half to stap an incoming vamp before the other half comes back.

We continue on like this through the place until we find Vlary being held up by a vampire. I know I wonf be able to get him without hurting her so I turn to Alec and motion at the wall slightly, he understands and shoots an arrow at the wall releasing a beam of sunlight that kills him.

I quickly stab one of the remaing two vampires before walking over to Jace and hugging him. "I killed him." Clary said and I look at the Ash on the ground by her feat.

"He was already dead." Was Jaces reply as he wrapped his own arm around me.

"Plus he wanted to kill you, remember that." Izzy said as she walked over and I let go of Jace. "They both did great right?"

"Yeah you did." Jace replies and j smile proudly at that. "You should both be proud."

"Thanks but it's not about us." Clary says and I sigh knowing she's right. "lets go find Simon." Clary continues before turning away. We all quickly follow after.

We hear Simon shout and follow the direction of his voice. When we enter the room we find a vampire holding Simon with a knife yo his neck. "Simon." Clary calls as she rushes forwards only for Jace to stop her.

"That's not going to do any good."

"Listen to him Clary Fairchild. Put it away, I've had more than enough of your friend for one day. I'd love yo cut his throat, don't give me a reason." When the vamp says this panic fills me.

"No, don't hurt him, we'll do as you say." I say as the staff in my hands disappears however just as that happens I feel warmth from my arm and find my drawing from earlier moving but I quickly look up only to meet deep chocolate brown eyes. "Please." I say as I feel a tingling- the bond being formed.

The vampire stares at me for a miniute before removing his blade and rushing over to me. He stops infront of me and kisses my hand. "Blessed one." He says and I smile. "You must be Adelina Fairchild." I nod, I'm Raphael."

"W-whats going on?" Simon asks and I look over Raphael's shoulder at him.

"Raphael is one of my soulmates." I say with a smile and tilt of my head as Clary runs over to Simon. "Can you show us the way out that doesn't get anyone else killed?" I ask and Raphael nods as we all silently follow him through the corridors and out a door onto the roof.

Before leaving I grab a pen from the pocket of Jace's jacket that I'm wearing and write my number and my Instagram account on his arm. I smile at him and kiss his cheek before heading to the door. "I expect a call." I say before the door swings shut.

"Shouldn't we get the hell out of here?" Is teh first thing anyone- in this case Simon- says when we exit and I just laugh at him for being dumb.

"Why Simon?" I ask with a smirk.

"They're right downstairs, they could come and get us."

"Let them, they'll just turn into a bunch of friend eggs out here, I thought you said you watched movies." After speaking Jace goes up the stairs with Izzy and Alec while Clary and Simon talk I just watch.

When they hug I join them, wanting to be apart of this as they were my best friends/ sister. I watch Alec and Izzy both walk off before rushing up the stairs and grabbing Jace's hand before we walk off.
