I wake up with Alec still wrapped around me but Magnus gone. I carefully get up not wanting to wake up Alec as I quickly leave the room and go in search of Magnus. "Magnus?" I call out sleepily when I see him sitting on the sofa with a drink in hand. "Why aren't you in bed?" I ask as I sit down beside him and lay my head on his shoulder. 

"I just had a nightmare, don't worry about it kitten." He replies as he puts his drink down. 

"wanna talk about it?" I ask sleepily. 

"I doubt you would even remember by morning." He says as I let out a yawn causing him to laugh and me to pout. "Don't pout kitten, I only laugh because I find you so adorable." He says and I smirk slightly as an idea comes to mind as I make cat ears and a tail appear on my body making Magnus laugh even more. "Adorable." He says as I lay my head in his lap and I feel his hand gently scratch my ears making me purr like an actual cat. 

"The clave tortured me." I hear Magnus quietly say after awhile, probably hoping I had fallen back to sleep. "It was horrible Kitten, the pain it, it brought me back to worse times. Times similar and worse than these." I feel Magnus stop petting me so I push my head against his hand and he looks down at me before continuing to stroke me. 

"I- I kept seeing my mothers body." He admits in a whisper as if not wanting the world to hear. "She died because of me kitten, she died because she birthed a monster." It takes everything in me not to say he's not a monster as I know right now he needs someone to listen not someone to try and fix everything and force him to stay together instead of letting him fall apart and rebuild himself in a new image. 

"I keep getting nightmare's of the day I found her body. I'm scared to go to sleep." He admits as I sit up and wrap my arms around him. "I'm scared." He admits as I feel him start to cry into my shoulder and I just sit there silently until he falls asleep. I smile and maneuver us so that we are laying down before using energy to make a blanket lift from the back of another sofa and on top of us before I swiftly fall asleep. 

I wake up to the smell of pancakes and I find Magnus still fast asleep and I kiss his cheek before carefully getting up and silently walk into the kitchen to find Alec cooking. "Morning, was worried when neither of you were in bed this morning." He says before coming over and wrapping his arms around me and kissing the top of my head. "These are new." He says as one hand scratches my right ear as his other hand gently caresses my tail making me purr as I am filled with pleasure and warmth. 

"I can shapeshift now, and I think I might be keeping these, I think my balance is even more heightened and it feels great when you scratch them." I say with a smile as I pull away and sit down on a stool by the kitchen counter before I grab one of the three empty plates and then use a spatula to put a pancake on my plate. 

I debate between coating it in chocolate spread or having syrup and some of the strawberries Alec had cut up before deciding to go with the less sickly option and begin to dig into my plate of deliciousness. "You should, they suit you, and they are fun to scratch." Alec says with a wide smile as he goes to the counter and continues to make pancakes. 

"These are delicious Alec." I say with my mouth full of pancake as I finish off my first and then have another, this one coated in chocolate spread. 

"You want some pancake with that chocolate?" He asks making me laugh lightly before digging in. "You gonna tell me what happened last night?" He asks as he finishes the pancake he was making and pours me a glass of orange juice. 

"I woke up, found Magnus in the living room, he had a nightmare." I explain not wanting to go into too much detail. "It's for Magnus to tell not me." I say as I take a few gulps of my orange juice before I continue eating. Alec nods in understanding. 

Me and Alec talk about random things while we eat before he decides to head to the institute. "Tell Magnus I said goodbye okay?" He asks and I nod as he leans down to kiss me before scratching my cat ears making me one again purr before he walks out. 

I put the remaining pancakes in the microwave to prevent them from getting too cold and make a coffee for Magnus and go and head to the living room where I find him just waking up. "Morning." I say quietly as he sits up rubbing his eyes. 

"Morning kitten." He responds as I hand him to coffee before scratching my ears. "I could get used to these." He says in response to my purr. 

"And I think I'll keep them. Alec went to the institute so it's just us." I say with a slight smile. 

"Then what would you like to do today?" Magnus asks me and I smile before shaking my head. 

"No what would you like to do today?" I ask stressing the 'you' as my tail swishes behind me. 

"I would like to take my amazing little soulmate on a date." He says happily as he puts his coffee down. "How do you feel for shopping and dinner in Italy?" He says with a smile. 

"I do love Italian." I say with a smile before kissing his cheek. "Let me shower and get changed, there are pancakes in the microwave that Alec made before he left." I say before returning to the bedroom and into the ensuit bathroom and showering and drying my hair. 

I get dressed in a black knee length corset dress with thick straps with flowers in different shades of pink. I throw on a black corset belt over the top with black wrap around heels before doing my hair in two braids on either side of my head going back into one large braid with all of my hair before walking back out to find Magnus also ready to leave. "You look gorgeous kitten." Magnus says before snapping his fingers and suddenly there are pink flowers weaved into my braid making me smile. Magnus creates a portal before holding out his arm to me. "Shall we?" He asks and I smile and nod grabbing his arm. 

"We shall."
