" No Madhvi.. we can't marry ", he said and my heart broke into million pieces.I know we don't love eachother but I thought we'll be living together forever. But he just broke that hope.
Anyways.. I'm just forced on him for that drastic night. Let's not forget that Madhvi.. he don't want you. It's just guilt and pity. You thought you'd get such a gem in your life?
" Haa right. How can we marry..? Let's go ", I said. He tried to say something but I started walking ahead of him.
He was telling me something but it didn't reach my ears.
I was battling with my innerself. I was feeling dizzy. I stopped on my track. I heard Vir saying something but I stumbled on my steps. I was about to fall backwards and he held me.
" Madhvi.. you okay? ", he panicked.
I nodded.
" But... ", he dragged and I closed my eyes.
I couldn't open my eyes but I can feel my surroundings. My other sense organs are perfectly working. I can hear him.. I can feel him trying to wake me but I couldn't.
" Excuse me.. could you please lend me some water ", he asked someone.
" Yes dear. Take this. Who are you and what happened to this girl? ", a lady asked him.
By this time he just sprinkled some water on my face. I felt very thirsty and he lifted my head and kept it on his lap. He fed me some water. I opened my eyes but was still feeling giddy. I looked at him looking at me with worry.
" We.. we are new to this village. We have nowhere to go. She suddenly fainted.. maybe because she hadn't ate from yersterday ", he said sadly.
I looked at the old lady who was looking at us with worry.
" But who are you both? And this girl is pregnant.. you both look too young and unmarried? ", she asked.
He was shocked and he shook his head.
" No.. no.. we are married. Hmm church wedding! Yes.. church wedding ", he said with a grin.
What a lie.. what a lie.. what a lie??
" What? What's your age boy? ", the lady asked.
" Well.. *cough* I'm 21 *cough* She's 20.", he lied again.
" Oh.. but- ", she tried to oppose. He interfered.
" Thank you so much for your help. I think we must get going.. ", he said standing up. He suddenly lifted me.
" Put me down ", I whispered and he smiled at me.
" Its okay.. you're too tired and exhausted. All because of me so just let me do this for you ", he whispered with a smile. I was melting immediately.
He took a step but the old woman who helped us came infront of us. He stopped on his track abruptly. She smiled at us and we both looked at eachother.
" Dont worry youngbirds.. Come with me. I'll help you.. after all you both look like my grandson and granddaughter.. ", she said with a smile.
" Thanks for your help grandma but we're not willing to bring burden to your shoulders. We'll somehow manage.. ", he said and I nodded with a smile.
" Oh no dear.. please.. you both will not be a burden. I'd just like to help you both. Atleast I'll get my past birth sins nullified. ", she said.
We both looked at eachother. But then she dragged us along with her. Is she for real? He too was in dilemma.
" Come.. sit here.. ", she said as we reached a small hut.
