Chapter 23

The exams were over. I'm very happy about it but about result? And I gave my Board exams following.

I entered the school campus with deep thoughts. I was about to go to my class when I thought to check on Prakash who must've came to school by school bus.

I was walking towards his class when I heard a familiar voice.

" Vansh.. can't you understand? I can't take you there! Go away before I lose my mind now "

I walked towards the voices. I saw Vansh running away crying while Vir stood there with sad eyes. I was about to go there but he walked away not noticing me. I followed him silently.

He went towards a tree. He took something in his hand. It was the same kitten he was holding. I walked towards him.

This guy is truly a mystery.

He was caressing it lovingly. He took it and turned. He was shocked seeing me there. His lips curved into a smile but his beautiful eyes were showing otherwise.

" Hi Madhvi ", he said walking towards me.

" What are you doing here? ", he asked me.

" Nothing ", I said.

He left the kitten on the ground as it's mom came. He smiled at them.

" What's with you? Why did you scold poor little Vansh? ", I asked huffing.

" Its nothing. Leave it. Let's go to class ", he said and walked away.

As we entered the class, we saw the black board with '30 days to go' written on it. My eyes saddened. I can only be safe and happy at school but it's going to end within a month.

Everyone were a little sad. I saw Vir who was going towards our desk without a word. What's with him now? We just have 30 days to find a solution. But here he's all gloomy already.

" What happened Vir? I don't like this grumpy Vir ", I complained whole unpacking the books from my bag.

" Then which Vir do you like? "

" Smiling and teasing Vir- ", I but my tongue.

" So.. you like my teasing? ", he asked with a smile.

" No no.. you do that rarely "

" So you want me to do it always? "

" Hey.. no.. no.. ", i said and blushed profusely.

But suddenly I felt dizzy. I gasped as I had a urgency to throw up. He looked at me worriedly.

" Vir move ", i said.

" What happened? "

" I want to.. to.. puk- ", before I could complete my sentence, I threw up closing my eyes tightly. My God..

I opened my eyes to see his hands. My eyes widened.

" Yuck!!! ", everyone shouted. My eyes started to well up. But he just smiled at me assuringly. We went to the washroom to wash his hands and clothes. I ran into the washroom with the about of guilty and shame I had felt.

I was feeling too guilty. He must be feeling disgusted but he didn't show it on his face. He genuinely smiled before leaving.. he's such a sweet creature on this earth.

I came out of the washroom and saw Raghu asking Anuj for a spare shirt. Anuj bright him one to pass it to Vir.

Brother Anuj saw me standing and came towards me. I was crying by that time. I can't control my emotions nowadays.

He just patted my shoulders.

" There.. there.. calm down Madhvi. It wasn't your fault. You're pregnant and it's common to puke. Him being understanding partner must adjust with you. Right? What's there to cry?", he said.

"He's more than understanding. He don't deserve anything like this. ", i said crying.

" Neither you do. But it's his fate. You both have decided to undergo this together. There's nothing to feel guilty about it until you both have faith on eachother. But I must say.. he's a gem. He's a keeper. He always keeps his promise and his responsibilities.. but one day you might know something about him and his past which will change your life.. Or.. I could say you don't know who he is!!", he said.

Before i could ask about what he just said he went towards a staff to enquire about something so important. I sighed.

Do I really don't know him?

Who is he?

A student at my school.. what else?

I went to the class and waited for him. He came to the class. Everyone were looking at us. I feel that I could be swallowed by the ground now.

" I'm sorry Vir ", I mumbled as soon as he sat beside me. He looked at me.

"What? Ms. Madhvi Mehta asked sorry to this poor Vir leaving her bossy attitude?", he asked and I glared at him through my wet eyelashes.

He just laughed as I slapped his shoulder lightly. Why is this guy making it tough for me to resist?

He's kind, smart, patient, innocent, responsible, promise keeper, soft-hearted, understanding, handsome, eyes out of the world, tall, fit, charming, what not? He's everything anyone could ask for but I'm hurting this beautiful soul.

This guy is making me hard to resist myself craving for him. I think I'm falling for this guy but it's wrong. I cannot pull him into my messy life and family. He'll be hurt by my father and brother. They are the most cruelest people. They killed my aunt when she was young as she loved someone who was their family rival.

I'm now scared what will happen once they get to know about the things I'm hiding from them.

I was in my deep thoughts and then I got to see this.. a photo. It looks like Vir but he had a handsome beard looking like an adult. What??

"Hey.. what is this?", I asked making him startled. He looked at me and then at the photo with wide eyes.

"What the hell Madhvi?? Why did you take that?", he yelled.

"It was here infront of me and what do you expect me to do than taking it and seeing? What us this? You with beard?", i asked with my eyebrows raised.

Which school boy looks like this?

He looked at me with the same emotion in his eyes. He's hiding something or what?

He was not looking at me but at the photo. I held his chin and made him look at me. He diverted his gaze again.

"Thats.. I.. no my- "
