Blood spluttered out from my mouth as they hit my jaws and kicked my stomach continuously.

"Where is our Madhvi? Where did you take her? What the hell did you do to her?"

I struggled to push the men away but they kept kicking me in sides. I glared at the person who spoke.

"You must've known where you locked your sister," I said looking at him. He gritted his teeth as he walked forward towards me and kicked me on my face to make my jaws hurt and bleed once again.

I groaned in pain as they all continued to thrash me.

"Paapa.. w-what are you d-doing?" I heard a small kid asking him. The kid looked really frightened. He lifted the kid up in his arms and glared at me.

"Just punishing a badboy, dear! He did bad things. We must punish him."

"You a-are not teach- teacher!" The kid exclaimed with a frown making his father's face pale in an instance. He slowly signalled his men to stop attacking me.

"VANI!! Take him inside." he asked a woman to take the kid inside with a glare at her and then directed it towards me.

I spit the blood as I stood up stumbling.

"You wish for deathbed don't you?" I heard the old man speak. I looked at him with atmost hatred.

The person who once was my mother's brother. The person behind my parents' death. Reason behind our sufferings since childhood.

My blood boiled in anger and rage filled in my veins. The hurt, agony and pain revive inside me. My heart started to ache. My fists tightened to be just placed right over his jaw and break him apart.

Something inside me asking me to kill that old wreck right then, right now. And every then and now, I inhaled and exhaled looking at his face. His stoic expression made me more enraged.

"Where is Madhvi?" The oldman asked.

"I don't know!" I replied honestly.

Right now, before my own rage, concern for Madhvi was the most important of all running thoughts in my mind.

I'll have to look at Madhvi for once.

"Where's my sister? You bastard! Tell me before being killed!"

The men grabbed my shirt and pushed me down before even I could balance myself. I felt my ending so close and I felt scared eventhough I sort of expected this reaction.

But Madhvi went missing. I cannot leave her. One of them kicked me right on my abdomen and I groaned in pain. I tried escape those heavy men's thrashing but froze hearing one word.

"Vir!!!"

I felt myself sighing in relief and tears retreating my eyes. Before I could even hush my clouded, unclear mind, I was already wrapped by a warm body over me. My hands almost automatically tried to hug her back despite the pain I felt with my bones cracked.

She sobbed against my chest.

Why are you crying? Who hurt you, my love?

I wanted to ask her but responded only with tears.  The next second, she was teared away from me, making me yearn for her presence again.

-- The commotion occurred -- She fell at her father's feet and begged for my life -- She was choked by her father's grip on her throat -- Her brother pushed them apart and pointed the gun at me -- Madhvi hugged me tightly -- Her mother begged her brother to leave us alone -- The villagers insisting on ousting us from the damn village -- We were sent out -- And all I could do was NOTHING.
