I walked past all the classrooms on my way towards a particular one. I felt all the eyes towards me as I walked towards Madhvi's class. But no voices. A pindrop silence.A slap to a boy, who called Madhvi with a cuss word, was enough to silence a whole lot of people. I found Reyansh's loud scream from the ground. I paused on my way and looked down at him, who was playing football and yelling at his teammates.
My eyes wandered for Madhvi but I couldn't find her. I found girls playing basket ball.
Oh shit! Basketball?
My mind reminisced Sister's words - she must not give too much work to her body. Especially longwalk, running, jumping, etc.
I prayed to every god that Madhvi must not be a part of that game. Seems like my prayer was accepted as I couldn't find her in the field.
But She wasn't there on any part of the ground either.
"Where's she.."
I walked towards her class and looked inside. As I expected, she was sitting at the last desk and writing something. I smiled as I looked at her, she was so keen on writing and left my presence unnoticed.
I was comprehending whether to approach her or not. What if I scare her?
You already did enough! - my mind mocked me.
I sighed sadly. Yeah. It was right.
Her body stiffened slightly. She was tensed. She looked up at me and horror filled her eyes. They softened for a second and then turned into a cold glare.
I reminisced sister's words - Her heartbeat, pulse rate, pressure must be normal. We could not say without a check up. So until then, keep her in a neutral phase. She shouldn't be sad, scared or angry.
She then continued to write as if I don't exist.
"Why are you sitting alone?" I interrogated eventhough I knew she is clearly ignoring me.
She didn't answer nor did she look up at me. I sighed but didn't leave from there. I then took slow steps towards her to not make her scared so much or yell at me. But I failed miserably.
Her heartbeat rose. I could see that with the wau she was fidgeting the pencil. She gulped. Sweat beads were formed over her forehead. Her eyes glued to the notebook.
She was scared. It somehow was creating a havoc inside me.
I gently tugged her wrist and she flinched. She looked at her palm wet with sweat. I placed the pill over it. Her eyes widened as she looked at it and then directed towards me. Her eyes seemed furious as if she wanted to kill me right now.
I gulped before finding my voice to ask her to have the pill. It was the best nutritive pill for young pregnant mothers. It was what sister suggested me to buy.
"Can you.. can you please have this?"
She suddenly stood up with widened eyes. She placed her both palm over my chest abd pushed me away making me tumble down over the floor. It was abrupt. I couldn't even recover in a flash until she yelled.
"How dare you? You think you can control me just like that? I thought we had a normal conversation but I didn't know its all for a reason.. that's for you to escape from whatever you did," She accused me with allegations as she rose up to her feet.
"Firstly you had drug. I saw it but didn't day to anyone because it would tear your so called reputation. Then you used it and abused me. I didn't say it because my brother would kill you and go to child. After all I don't want my nephew to see his father going to jail by killing a bastard like you. Now that I'm pregnant with your child.. you are handing me medicine to kill it? I would rather live with it or die with it. If you think we would cause any problem to you, sorry I won't let that. Move away. I hate to see your face. I hate to see your filthy face!! I hate your fucking existence!! If you could help me.. then go away or die!!" She continued and cried while walking out of the class leaving me all alone.
