I loaded the bags and other things inside the car trunk before shutting it close. I heard Raghu and Vansh fighting with eachother for the passenger seat. I sighed looking at my watch as I leaned onto my car.

I heard my baby's shrill whines as I turned to tge direction. There stood Madhvi at the doorstep with our baby in her arms. She was shaking him gently to shush the cries he bellowed.

"Aww.. Aww.. baby! Mumma is here!" She cooed as she rocked him in her arms. He seemed to calm a little.

A smile automatically spread on my lips as I looked at her. She was dressed in the saree I bought for her, for the first time ever. Her long hair was dancing and swaying behind her as she was calming our baby. Her earrings and smooth bangles chimed with her.

Her eyes then focused down as she walked out with our baby. She's always careful when she's holding our baby. He'd got a protective mother. I know my woman will raise our child as bold as she is.

"Shall we?" I asked and she looked at me with hesitant eyes.

Oh shit. I forgot. She don't like my presence around her at all.

But I stepped towards her making her eyes widen and gently took our baby in my arms before stepping back from her. I avoided looking at her eyes knowing it'll be my breaking point.

I looked at him as if to memorise him in my mind. I have took his pictures but still I'll miss having him in my arms just like how I miss his mother.

"I'll come and meet you soon!" I said to him and kissed his forehead gently without disturbing his calmness. He snuggled into my chest.

I somehow feel like he got this habit from his mom. It made me chuckle.

"Raghu stop fighting for passenger seat when driver seat is yearning for your presence. And please, you're driving with a newborn, a kid and a mother, so please don't drive like crazy. Okay?" I asked as I rocked my son in my arms.

"Aren't you coming?" Raghu asked confused with my words.

"No! I have some work."

"No mummy! Please come with us." Vansh said.

"Vansh. It's just few days.." I whined as he ran towards me with a pout.

"No-"

"It's okay Vansh. Let him stay alone. Who cares? He'll then come running to you!" Raghu said smirking at me.

This idiot tryna turn my brother against me?

They both sat inside the car angrily.

"Be safe. Eat healthy. Call me anytime." I said eventhough I doubt whether she would do it. She kept looking at me and I avoided looking at her.

"Sure." She replied.

"I'm sorry, I didn't meant to separate you from our son but I just need some time." She continued making my heart sink. She got inside the car before turning to me.

"I know." I said as I placed another kiss on my newborn's forehead. I stepped forward intending to do the same to her but she wouldn't welcome it at all.  So I passed our son to her arms.

"Take care.." I mumbled and stepped away.

"Bye Vansh!" I said but he pouted while turning tp me. His nose flared indicating his anger abd I couldn't help but chuckle.

"I promise from next term, you'll stay here with me only." I said but he was still angry.

"Raghu, dude! Have a safe drive."
