| Shakti Singhania |Mumbai..
I walked inside my new school's campus gate and look upward the tall building. I turned back to see my mom standing there and waving at me. I waved back at her. I know she'll be standing there until her grown up 16-year-old son vanishes into the class. I sighed.
" Excuse me, mam!! ", I said and the teacher looked at me through her spectacles.
" Come in dear ", she said while looking at a long book. Maybe the attendance. I walked inside where thirty pair of eyes looking at me as if I'm an alien. I'm just from another school and not from another planet.
" You must be Shakti Singhania ?? The new student ", she said pointing towards me. I nodded with a 'yes'.
" So.. introduce yourself to myself and all your new friends here. You dont have to feel like you are new here.. ", she said and I nodded.
" Good morning everyone.. myself Shakti Singhania. I come from Uttar Pradesh. I studied in a public school there. I'm 16 as you all are. I'm here to join my higher secondary from today. Hope we all maintain a good friendship and progress along. ", I said and was about to go but the teacher called me. I turned towards her.
" your parents? ", she asked me.
" Sorry mam. My mother's name is Madhvi Mehta- sorry Singhania.. ", I stuttered and was about to go. I heard giggling from the students as I told my mother's surname wrong.
" Father ?? ", she asked again. I froze as my spot. I fisted my hands tightly to control myself or my mom would have to change me to another school tomorrow.
I slowly went to a boy who was sitting alone and sat with him without answering. She looked at me for a minute but understanding that I'm not willing to answer anymore.. she just dismissed herself from the class for our first Hour which is Mathematics.. hell a kind of subject to start my first day with!!
........
Few days passed and to my luck, I had to lose the only two friends whom I had after punching the boy who bullied me asking about my father.
" Shakti.. is the your sister ?? ", asked a girl who was walking beside me to the parking area.
I didn't answer and thought she would go away but she was too nosy and questioned me a lot. I went towards my car and there stood my darling with a file.
" Shakti.. ", she smiled and hugged me. I hugged her back.
" I thought you would send Driver today also. When did you come from Delhi mom ?? ", I asked her as she went to Delhi for an important case.
" Your mom ?? ", the girl beside me looked so unbelievable as she looked at me very young mom.
" My mom is almost forty but your mom looks like she's in her twenties ", she said to me and mom laughed.
" I know.. I look young ", mom said smilingly. I sighed as she dismissed the tension from my head. I thing I will look like an old man when I reach my twenties. The girl just nodded.
" Can't you just go away to your parents?? Why in the hell are you disturbing me and my mom ? ", I asked her.
" Shakti.. actually, she's our neighbor, Kruthika. Her grandmother is not well and she wants me to bring her back to her home ", mom said. I sighed again. What a way to take this headache along ??
She kept on asking my mom with wierd questions which was purely made in her littlest brain of hers. God.. why didn't you give her enough brain to understand not to disturb anyone.
" Aunty.. why is Shakti not telling us about his father at all ?? In these three months, I've never seen his father in your home too..", she said. I fisted my hand in anger and looked at mom who was starting to breathe a little heavier.
Hell!!
