But I miss you in the morning when I see the sun.
Something in the orange tells me we're not done.

Nathalie awoke before sunrise on this particular morning, something felt off about today, she just couldn't shake it.

Creeping out of Gabriel's arms, she tiptoed over to the balcony.

She opened the French glass doors and stepped out, leaning over the balconey solemnly.

Nathalie stood there, watching the sun rise into the air, the orange covering the beautiful city of Paris. Seeing the sun rise made her upset sometimes, thinking about what could have been, but she knew that she couldn't change the past and that she had to start looking towards her future.

Gabriel soon realized his fianceé was missing from bed and panicked, but he calmed down seeing the balcony doors open.

He walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her from behind, after momentary panic, Nathalie realized it was her soon-to-be husband and calmed down.

She closed her eyes and leaned back into him, humming contently.

"Why were you up before the sun, my love?" Gabriel whispered in her ear.

Nathalie shrugged, "I don't know, I barely slept last night." She groaned.

Nathalie's phone then started ringing.

"Who could be calling at this hour?" Gabriel furrowed his brows.

"I have no idea." Nathalie said, clearly confused.

She went inside and checked the caller id.

"I don't know the number, should I answer?"

Gabriel nodded slightly, "Maybe it's a wrong number, if you don't answer they'll keep calling."

Nathalie nodded and answered the phone, "Good morning, Nathalie Sancoeur speaking, who is this?" She spoke in her usual, stoic, work voice.

"What?" The air had been knocked out of Natalie's lungs.

Gabriel quickly noticed her trembling and took the phone from her.

"Gabriel Agreste, who the hell is this?" He hissed.

Nathalie sat down on the bed, her eyes watering and her body trembling.

She heard Gabriel take in a sharp breath and she noticed how when he spoke again it was as if a layer of anger had been peeled off and replaced with confusement and sadness.

"Yes, w-we'll come as soon as we can!" Gabriel stammered, hanging up quickly.

He ran a hand over his face, taking off his glasses and wiping his eyes, he then rested his hand over the bridge of his nose before sitting down.

Nathalie wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed he face against his just like she did only a few years prior.

He could feel her tears fall onto face and chest, mixing with his own.

Gabriel turned aroud and took her into his arms.

"It's not possible! I watched him die! I-I felt him take his last breath! I-" Nathalie sobbed into his chest, almost hyperventilating.

"I know, I know you did." Gabriel whispered. "I saw it too." His voice trembled with each word.

Nathalie let out a strangled cry and gripped her stomach.

"Jesus." She sobbed, her hands shaking violently as she went through a contraction.

"What's wrong, what is it? Are you having a contraction?" Gabriel jumped up.

"It's just...just braxton hicks." She breathed.

Nathalie let out another sound of pain as she felt her baby kick her directly in the ribs, repeatedly.

"What are you, choking on your cord or something?" She whispered harshly in a hushed tone.

Gabriel let out a laugh at that, making the two giggle, suddenly forgetting about all of their worries.

Gabriel placed a hand on Nathalie's stomach.

Their daughter didn't seem too happy with that as she then kicked Gabriel directly where he had now placed his forehead against.

"Ow!" Gabriel groaned, rubbing his forehead.

Nathalie laughed almost hysterically.

"Good job, sweetie!" Nathalie grinned, cupping her hands over her belly.

"What am I going to do with the two of you?" Gabriel smirked.

Nathalie smiled lightly, "Love us."

"That can be arranged." Gabriel smiled back.

"What are we going to do about...him." Nathalie whispered.

"For now let's just worry about going there. If he is who we think he is then we can scream and cry and God knows what." Gabriel said softly, placing a hand on her cheek.

Nathalie nodded in agreement.

"Then we should start getting ready, don't you think?" Nathalie whispered again.

Now it was Gabriel's turn to nod.

"Okay then, let's go see if they have our supposedly dead baby." Nathalie said, tears filling her eyes once again.
