KATARA'S POV:
Right after the fact that I escaped from the rope, Mai turned around in surprise and threw a couple of knives at me. The tips were covered in a clear liquid of some sort, and after the hit the wall and began fizzing, I realized her knives were dipped in poison.
Okay, so now I have to make sure I don't get hit by one of those.
"You're chis should be blocked still!" Mai growled, pulling a sword out from the corner. It looked familiar, but yet, I've never seen Mai use a sword before. And I hate to admit it, but she's really good at it.
"I'm a bloodbender," I said proudly, although on the inside my body cringed. "So I can break free from chi blocking."
Mai's eyes widened, but she tried not to show her surprise. I bended the water out of my hair and the sweat off of my skin, having about a gallon of water in all. I froze it and began chucking icicles at Mai, who easily dodged them. I was running out of water, and I could feel the full moon rising. I was tempted to bloodbend against her, but I urged myself not to.
I hated bloodbending, it's so powerful being able to reach inside of someone's body and take control of it. It makes me feel alive, but yet terrified at the same time.
I needed to find another source of water. I didn't have anymore sweat on me, and I didn't want to get close enough to Mai to bend her sweat. That'd be pretty disgusting anyways.
Before I knew what was happening, I ran out of water to bend. Mai thrashed a few small knives at me, and I only dodged one. The rest pinned me against the wall through my clothes. One of the knives was just barely grazing my skin, but I could feel the poison absorbing through my skin, and it burned. I smirked once I realized I have found a source of water.
I wriggled out of my shirt, which was a bit weird since I only had a bra on underneath, but I didn't care. My shirt was pinned to the wall, and there wasn't any way to get past that. I quickly bended the poison from all of the knives that were pinned to the wall and pointed it at Mai.
Mai froze, her mouth wide open in shock. She put her arms up in surrender. I grinned.
"Next time, think twice before putting liquid poison on your knives against a waterbender," I said.
Suddenly, the tunnel shook, and I accidentally dropped the poison bubble with a splash. A few drips splashed Mai's feet, and she was crying out in pain. My arm was still stinging, and I felt the burning sensation crawling up my arm. I tried ignoring the pain as much as I could.
The rumbling stopped, and then the door burst open with a ball of rock. A blast of blue fire entered the room as a warning. Azula and Toph.
Toph quickly bended the earth so it could knock Mai off balance, and then bended her hands and feet so they were pinned to the earth.
Azula and Ty Lee stepped in behind Toph. "How does it feel being pinned to the ground, huh gloomy girl?" Toph laughed, pointing at Mai. Mai growled, and tried escaping, but gave in.
