"Nothing, I'm also glad you're my girlfriend. I've been wanting to ask you that question but I didn't know what you'd say. I know now."

I giggled softly.

"Come on, let's go back to the house," I said.

"Are you sure I can go in?" he asked.

"Of course! I'm not gonna leave you out here by yourself," I said.

"Well thank you for your kindness, Melody!" he said, playfully bowing.

"Why, you're welcome, Maximus!" I said, playing along.

I led him inside and asked him, "Do you want something to eat or drink?"

"Well, if it's not too much of a problem, can I have a Coke?" he asked.

"Sure, come with me to the dining table," I said smiling.

I softly took his hand and led him with me. There, we found the mothers talking. I hoped my mom wasn't saying anything that would embarrass me.

"Hi Max. Hi Mel," my mom said, smiling.

"Hi mom. Do you mind if I get Max something to drink?" I asked.

"Oh no sweetie, go ahead," she said, still smiling.

I opened the fridge and got out two cold cans of the soda. I gave one to Max and I kept one for myself.

"Thanks," he said as he started opening it.

"So, how's school going?" he asked.

"Oh good, I guess. I have straight-A's in my report card!" I said.

"Pfft, you guess? That's amazing! I just need one more A to lift up my science grade," he said.

I opened my Coke and started drinking some of it.

When it was half full, I left it on the counter and said, "Come on, Max. Let's go to my room."

"Oh okay," he said, blushing.

He's so cute when he's embarrassed.

I led him upstairs and opened the door to my room. It was neat as always. I sat on my bed and he sat next to me.

"So, what do you wanna do?" he asked.

"I don't know, what did you have in mind?" I asked.

I didn't know what was coming. Within seconds, he started tickling me. I was always extremely ticklish in my belly and what do you know? That's exactly where he started.

I was laughing like a crazy person barely being able to say, "Stop... I can't... take it...!"

He eventually stopped. I lay on my bed exhausted, trying to catch my breath.

"So, how do you feel?" he asked smiling.

"Tickled everywhere," I groaned.

"Well, duh. Do you wanna start on our homework?" he asked.

"Sure, let's go get our book bags," I said.

Max and I went downstairs and went to the stables.

"Hi, Beauty," I said, patting her muzzle.

She neighed and looked at us. She seemed to be looking between the two of us and smiling.

"I'll be right back, Max. Stay put."

"Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere. Be careful!"

I quickly went to the bushes to shift and sent Beauty a mind link.

"Whatcha thinking?"

"You two look so cute together," she said.

"Oh, stop it!" I said, secretly enjoying her teasing.

"I mean it! I'm so happy for you guys."

"Aww, thanks Beauty. He might've asked me to be his girlfriend actually," I told her.

"WHAT? What did you say?!"

"Owww, my ears. Anyway, I said yes! So I guess we're official now."

"Aww, congrats! You're so lucky!"

"Well, thank you. I should go back now, byee!" I said and shifted.

"Where did you go?" Max asked.

"Oh, just by the bushes. I mindlinked Beauty about something," I said.

"Oh? And what was that?" he asked, interested.

"Well, she was kind of teasing us," I said, blushing.

"Well, I don't mind. Besides you're the best girlfriend ever," he said, kissing my cheek.

"Thanks, you're the best boyfriend I could ask for," I said, smiling at him.

"Well, let's go up to my room to do our homework," I said.
