"Uh oh, I sense trouble," Whisper mindlinked me.

Max punched him straight in the face, causing Jeremy's nose to bleed. Jeremy was going to punch him in the jaw when I stopped his fist and thanked the Lord that I didn't get hurt badly.

"Max, Jeremy, please, don't fight. I don't want to remember what happened with you and Michael," I pleaded looking at Max.

"Fine, come on. Let's get out of here," he said, holding my hand and leading me out the door.

"It was nice meeting you, Jeremy. I'm really sorry," I apologized.

"Nice meeting you too. See ya around," he said with a smirk before talking to the rest of his friends.

Max led me out quickly and pulled me to the side.

"What was that for?"

"I was just being polite, Max. No need to get jealous. I would never cheat on you and you know that. Just trust me, okay? Maybe he's not as bad as you think," I told him.

"I know you'd never cheat on me, Mel, but I just don't trust him. He was drooling all over you. I think you should keep your distance," he said, protectively.

"Fine. Listen, I appreciate you wanting to protect me and all but think I can stand up for myself. Just give him a chance alright?" I asked.

"Alright, I trust you enough to let you handle this. If you say you can do it, then I believe you. Let's catch up with the others," he said.

We finally saw Jonathan and Alex walking out of the pack house.

"Guys, wait up!" I shouted.

They turned around and stopped to wait.

"What took you guys so long?" Jonathan asked me.

"Well, I was getting to know the last pack member and then we saw that you guys had left so we were looking for you," I explained, not wanting to tell him all the details.

He nodded and Max said, "Well now that that's over, let's go home and watch a movie! If that's okay with you girls?"

Alex and I looked at each other.

"Yes! What type of movie are we watching?" I asked, excited.

"Hmmm, let's watch a scary movie! Come on, let's go so I can see what I have," Max said.

I was nervous. I had never watched a scary movie before so this would be my first time.

There's no doubt that I'm gonna be hiding behind Max's shoulder.
