Chapter 20

Hey guys, I just wanted to say that this is the picture of Melody/Whisper in horse form. I'll be putting up the pics of of Max/Sunny and Alex/Beauty on the next few chapters. Now, let's get on with the story!

I love Mel with all my heart. I can't imagine her being taken from me.

"Gosh, we really think about her a lot don't we?" My inner horse, Sunny said, chuckling.

"I know, I know," I mindlinked him.

As if reading my thoughts my mom said, "So, it looks like you've found your mate, Max."

"How did you know?" I asked her, surprised.

She smiled.

"A mother knows."

"Well, do you like her?" I asked, feeling my cheeks start to burn up.

"Yeah, she's sweet, kind, and beautiful. You guys look perfect together," she said, smiling.

Before I got a chance to answer, my mom exclaimed, "Well, here we are!"

I don't think there has ever been a time where she's been really upset.

We got out of the car and went inside our house. My mom entered first, with me following. My little sister Margaret, who I call Margie, came running up to her with a smile on her face.

"Mommy's home, mommy's home!" she shouted.

Then, dad ran downstairs to greet my mom with a hug and a kiss. Then, I entered.

"Maxie, your home, too!" Margie shouted again.

"Yes I am, Margie," I said hugging her.

Margie's seven years old and very sweet. Her birthday is coming up in a few weeks, May 30. She was so excited.

"Look Maxie, I already told my friends about my birthday party and they are totally coming! I can't wait!" she said, jumping up and down.

I smiled at her. I had lots of planned surprises for her. I knew this was going to be her best birthday ever.
