" We don't have a lot of time Steve, he'll be back in just a second. We are still on for Saturday right?"

Steve leaned in."Yes. To my knowledge he has no idea. He is going to be shocked."

" That is the plan! " I looked over Steve's shoulder and saw Eddie walking back with Robin, his movie selection in hand. I backed up. " I'll have to call you in the morning before I go to school is that ok? That is pretty much the only time Eddie's not around."

"What about later tonight?"

" Sometimes he drops me off at home then parks down the street and sneaks in my window."

" He is like literally always around you."

" Makes it hard to be sneaky huh?" I laughed. I watched Eddie walk over and put his movie on the counter grab a box of candy." Sour patch kids? "

" What is wrong with sour patch kids? They are sour, then sweet- just like me."

He smiled his big toothy smile.

" You are the only person that buys this candy, Munson." Steve shook the box and put it back on the counter.

" What would you pick Steve?"

"M&Ms. Hands down. Popcorn and M&ms best combo ever. Sweet and salty."

" Oh Salty , just like you?" Robin laughed.

" Haha Robin." Steve shook his head.

I laughed. " Let me guess, something scary?"

" Creepy, not scary."

" You think it is soooo funny when something jumps out and scares the crap out of me."

" It makes you cuddle closer." He smiled again and put his arm around my shoulder.

" If I cuddled any closer I would be in your lap."

"Best seat in the house sweetheart."

" You guys are gross. Take your movie and disgusting  candy  and get out of my store!" Steve joked.

" Ok, ok we are out of here. Bye guys!" We walked out and got into the van.

Time to lay down some groundwork, " So Saturday, I was thinking maybe we could take a ride to the grand opening of that new music store, I have heard that their instrument selection is stellar, like they have everything.,I know you need new guitar strings and picks right? Then maybe we could stop and get lunch?"

" Sounds like a perfect way to spend my birthday baby." He smiled." Usually Wayne makes me my favorite dinner and we just hang out. I'm kind of bummed that he isn't going to be home this year."

" That sucks Eds ." I rubbed his knee." What do you want for your birthday dinner baby?"

" Mac and Cheese."

" I make a yummy Mac and cheese. I got you covered."

" That would be awesome, thank you princess."He smirked ." Do you remember what happened the first time you made me dinner?"

I smirked back at him." Like I could forget! We had sex for the first time ever  on the counter,

for the second time in the shower, then the third time when I came out in your Hellfire club shirt. Pretty sure we would have gone for four, sleepy eyed, wild haired, raspy voice sex if you hadn't been woken up by our little nosy dysfunctional family."

" I felt totally robbed, I told Steve that. I told him that instead of a lazy morning in bed with my girl in my arms , cuddling, I wake up to frantic knocking and all of them barging into my house because Red was nosy and saw a car in the driveway. Then they had the audacity to stare at you when you came walking out. You looked fuckin smoking in nothing but my shirt and your little undies, hair all wild from sex and sleepy eyes still half closed. I didn't get a chance to fully appreciate you in that moment because I was too busy telling my friends to stop staring at you because they are perverts and don't know how to be gentlemen. I mean, I kind of get the shrimps, they had never seen a half naked girl before but Steve? Like  dude, don't drool over your buddy's girlfriend. That's just good manners."
