Luke's pov
I went to the warehouse for my usual training. I changed into my uniform and joined my friends in the hall waiting for our trainer.
Oh look who we have here! Ron!
" Good evening sir."
" Hey, girlies!" He smirked
We winced at his name calling silently devouring the insult. He walked in front of us and once he reached me he stopped and looked at me.
" Can't you stay out of trouble for once?"
What?
" I didn't understand sir." I tried to be polite
" Ford has some business with you, and you are grounded to clean the second floor after the training."
" What? Why?"
" You can go ask Ford."
" Now sir?"
" Yep, he said he wants to see you before the training, we are here waiting for you."
" Okay, thank you sir." I blinked twice
I could see from the corner of my eyes my friends glaring at me. I am done! So done!
I walked to Ford's office and knocked on the door. He swung it wide open and let me in.
" Good morning, Fordy." I said trying to act sweet maybe he feels kind and let me off the hook
" Don't Fordy me." He glared at me
" C'mon, what's up? What did I do?" I asked bemused
" What did you do? You are asking me?"
I stayed silent as I tried to remember but no nothing came to my mind.
" What were you thinking, rushing out without bodyguards? Do you have any idea how dangerous it is for someone like you to be out without protection?"
" Ohh that! I was in a hurry. I understand your worry, Ford. I'm sorry, I won't do it again."
" I hope not. You should know better than to take such risks. I don't know what I'd do if something happened to you. Both of your brothers trusted me."
" I know, I know. I'm sorry I didn't think it through. I won't make the same mistake again, I promise." I said trying to calm him
" Good. I take my job of protecting you very seriously. Please don't do something like this again." He eventually calmed down
" I won't. Thank you for looking out for me, Ford." I smiled him
He ruffled my hair and sat down." How is Pete?"
" He is fine. Can I ask a favor?"
" Sure."
" Can you not tell my brothers, please? I learned my lesson, I swear."
" Sure thing, I don't want them to eat you raw."
" You are the best!" I hugged him
" Yeah, yeah, bribing me with hugs I see." He hugged me back.
After I made peace with Ford, I walked to my training. I am so thankful for him for sending the bodyguards behind me and not telling my brothers. He owed me one.
The next day™
I woke up in the morning feeling refreshed, and started my daily routine. I made my bed, brushed my teeth, and ate breakfast. I then decided to go check up on my little brother, who I had not seen all day yesterday.
