Luke's pov

After completing my training, I spent time in the lab working on some codes for Emmett's program.

As I delved into the codes, I carefully analyzed each line, ensuring that they were written efficiently and effectively. I paid close attention to the logic and structure of the program, making sure that everything was in order. Debugging became an integral part of the process, as I meticulously identified any errors or glitches that could potentially hinder the program's functionality.

Throughout the coding process, I encountered both challenges and breakthroughs. There were moments of frustration when a particular line of code refused to cooperate, but these were counterbalanced by the satisfaction of successfully resolving complex issues.

I was so focused on my task that I barely noticed my surroundings. Suddenly, I felt a cold can on my cheek that sent shivers down my spine. I looked up in alarm, my heart pounding as I quickly scanned the room. My eyes finally rested on Heaven, who grinned mischievously as he held the can of soda in her hand.

" You missed me?" She asked

I smiled from ear to ear and replied, " I missed you more than words can say."

I grabbed her waist with one hand and pulled her close to me. She laughed, putting the can on the desk and eagerly perched on my lap. Her hands were around my neck, and I brushed her hair away as I looked into her eyes and kissed her passionately. She smiled, her eyes still closed from the kiss. I gently ran my hand along her back, feeling her body move with my touch. My heart raced as I sensed her body pressed against mine. She kissed me back, deepening the kiss. Our lips moved in sync as our tongues danced together in a slow, passionate rhythm. I felt her warmth against me and the rise and fall of her breath as our connection intensified.

Her hands intertwined in my hair as her lips parted from mine. She nestled her head into my chest, and I wrapped my arms around her, holding her close. I breathed in her scent, feeling content in that moment.

We stayed like that for a few moments, our heavy breathing being the only sound in the room.

" So what were you doing?" She asked

" Trying some codes. Look here!"

" Yeah wait!" She got up from my lap and pulled a chair to sit next to me.

" Joy killer! Why did you do that?" I whined.

" It's work time!"

" Yeah, yeah!" I frowned

" So show me!" She grinned.

" What exactly?" I smirked.

Innocently, she replied, " The codes!"

" Here!" I typed on my laptop and scrolled through my work. " I still didn't find the right one."

" This one looks great! Does it work?"

" Works perfectly! But I'm not sure about it."

" You know we can correct glitches by updating it. Keep it!"

" You're right." I smiled.

" Luca! How did you learn about this? I mean what made you interested in this?"

" Mumma, I mean my adoptive mother, was a computer programmer."

" The heck! That's so cool! So you learned from her."

" I learned alone. I was always interested in what my mom was doing. When I turned 10, my mother finally gave me access to the internet. I searched for her job and wanted to learn some languages and ended up acquiring Java in three months then I focused on Python and mastered it in one month all thanks to YouTube."
