Matilda's pov

I arrived at Sofia's house, a sense of urgency propelling my steps as I pressed the doorbell. The door swung open, revealing Kian, Sofia's cousin. I greeted him with a quick nod, my eyes searching for Sofia, desperate to calm her worries about her baby.

" Hey, Kian," I said, my voice hurried. "Is Sofia around? I really need to talk to her."

Kian, ever the gracious host, gestured for me to come inside. " Of course, come in. I'll make you a coffee. Sofia's upstairs, I'll go wake her up."

As Kian busied himself in the kitchen, my mind was consumed with worry about Sofia and her unborn child. I fidgeted, anxiously awaiting her presence. Just then, Riley came downstairs, his brows furrowed in concern.

" Morning Matilda!" He smiled at me.

" Morning!"

Kian came out with coffee and Riley asked, " Have any of you seen Sofia? I can't find her anywhere."

" I thought she was asleep!" Kian said, shocked.

Riley's face contorted with growing concern as he instinctively reached for his phone, ready to dial Sofia's number. However, before he could press any buttons, Kian's voice cut through the tense air.

" Wait, Riley," Kian said, his tone low but urgent. He held up Sofia's phone, which he had found in the kitchen.

A cold knot tightened in my chest. " This isn't right!"

Riley's grip tightened around his own phone, his fingers hovering over the screen. " I'm going to call her friends. Maybe someone knows where she is."

" I'll check her car!" I said, my voice filled with urgency.

" No need to," I interjected, standing up. " Her car is here, and her friends don't know anything about her."

" Then where is she?" Kian's voice trembled with fear.

" She went for an abortion!" I stated firmly, my heart heavy with worry.

Kian looked startled. " How did you know she was pregnant?"

" Not the time for this," I replied sharply. " We should stop her."

Determined, without wasting a moment, we piled into Riley's car and sped toward the hospital where Levio worked. As we arrived, anxiety clawed at my insides. We hurried to the reception desk, my voice tense as I asked about Sofia.

The receptionist checked her computer. " I'm sorry, but we don't have anyone by that name in our system," she said gently.

" But she must be here! Can you please check again? Or in other hospitals?" I pleaded, desperation creeping into my voice.

" I can't do that. Only the doctors have access to that information," she replied apologetically.

Riley's frustration bubbled up. " Then get a doctor, please! It's a matter of urgency."

The receptionist hesitated and I said," No problem, let's go Riley."

" Where?" Riley and Kian asked.

" To Levio's office."

We rushed to the elevator without a care in the world. Bursting into Levio's office, he stood up, startled. " Matilda?"

A blonde woman was sitting with him, looking at us confused.

" Lev, we couldn't find Sofia," I blurted out, my voice filled with panic.

" Calm down, Matilda. I saw her here a few minutes ago; she's here to meet a friend," Levio said, trying to reassure me.
