Lexi stocked the shelves, listening to Catherine drone on about her granddaughter at UCLA. She kept a smile to her face, nodding along to whatever to woman was saying.

She would rather be physically tortured, than to spend however long here, listening to people and their boring lives.

She glanced out the store window, seeing a beat up red truck, parked across the road, she squinted, seeing that it was one of the men from the bar. She rolled her eyes, she wasn't worried, in fact, she could make him disappear with no trace.

'Would you like a drink dear? I'm making myself a tea'... Lexi looked around the aisle, smiling at Catherine behind the counter.

'I would love one, thank you. Coffee, black, no sugar. I'm sweet enough already'.... She says, glancing back out the window. She sees him get out of his truck, looking over at the store.

She heard Catherine chuckle, and make her way to the back room. Lexi moved to stand behind the counter, her hand in her pocket, fingers brushing her switchblade. She forced a small smile, as the bell above the door signalled someone entering.

She knew it was the guy. Trying to maintain her 'nice' persona, she smiles... 'Good morning'

She saw the leering grin and look he gave her, as though he was a hunter, stalking his prey... 'Well well. I heard you were working here, had to come see for myself. A pretty little thing like you? Should be one of those models'

Revulsion flowed through her, but she kept up her facade... 'I'm an ex army medic, being in the limelight, ain't my style'

'Ex army, is that right? Women don't belong in the forces. Maybe you were a nurse on one of them wards. A pretty girl like you couldn't handle war'... He chuckles, moving about the store, picking things up, looking at them and putting them back.

He walks to the counter, leaning on it, so he was close to her, an arm resting on the top... 'I got a few injuries I'd like you to look at'... The tone in which he spoke, made it clear what he meant.

Lexi just smiled, leaning close to him... 'Is that right?'

She saw the gleam in his eyes, as he reached over, stroking a finger from her chin, down her neck and chest, right to the top of her breasts.

She cupped a hand to the back of his head, slamming his face into the counter. She stepped back as she let him go, with him falling backwards. Both of his hands covered his nose, but she could see blood seeping through his fingers.

'Whats one more injury?..'.. She shrugged. Lexi stepped around the counter, her hands on her hips... 'I gave no permission for you to touch me'

'Dressed like that, looking like a hooker, you're asking for it. You were practically begging for it'... She heard him growl out, the look of hate flaring in his eyes, as he tried to stop the bleeding.

'You should be ashamed of yourself Carlton Miller! You wait until I tell your father!'... Both Lexi and the man called Carlton turn, seeing Catherine stood there, her face flushed with anger... 'Its men like you, that give the good one's a bad name. Now get up off my floor and get out. You're getting blood all over my store!'

Lexi was impressed, maybe she was wrong about this woman. She didn't stop the smirk that crept over her face. She turned to look back at the man, as he managed to get to his feet.
