Fifty-Five

The limo pulled up to the club, on the other side of the city. The others got out first, and Barnes held out a hand to assist her out of the car. Lexi smiled at them all, knowing they were nervous. She walked forward, to the door.

The club was secluded, and it was beneath the city. Lexi felt both her men fall in behind her, with the other three trailing behind. She nodded at the doorman, who bowed his head to her.

The six of them stepped through the door, and headed down the short hallway. Lexi turned to them all, smiling... 'This is your chance to back out now. If you leave, you can not get back in..'... She watched them all, and found that they were still nervous but curious... 'Very well then, let's go..'.. Using her new power, she opened the double doors, and they walked in.

Steve made sure to really look around this time as he followed her. He was amazed at the beings all around. He didn't stare at them, just allowed his gaze to brush over them. It wasn't as busy as last time and he was thankful. He felt himself relax, seeing them bow their heads to Lexi as they passed them.

He noticed they were headed to the VIP area again, and saw that the other three were already there. He let out a little breath of relief. If anyone had told him, before he took the serum that all this existed, he would've thought thst person would need psychiatric help.

'Hello love. Don't you look ravishing..'.. Nicholas smirked at Lexi, as he looked her up and down... 'Dressed like that, you are definitely ready to rule..'... He stood, taking her hand and placing a kiss to it. He did the same with Romanoff, and she had grinned.

Lexi notice Reyah drift over to Wilson, and the guy just lit up, grinning. She rolled her eyes, and raised her hand. Not a moment later, a waiter came over to take their orders. She insisted that they bring the same drinks over every 20 minutes, and a bottle of asgardian ale for the soldiers.

She sat down, in-between both heren and smiled at everyone... 'What do you all think?..'.. She asked her human family.

'Those women look like they're straight out of a model magazine..'.. Lexi looked over to where Barton nodded and she chuckled.

'They're faes. They're pure beauty, and goodness. They're the ones that take care of the earth make the trees and flowers grow, take care of the animals. Though there's not as many as there used to be, they still do what they can. There's only about 5 million of them left, I think, spread out across the world..'.. Lexi thanked the waiter, and raised her glass with the others.

'So, what's the plan?..'.. Her Captain asked, coughing slightly from the drops of ale she put in his beer.

'Well, if you want to go dance, mingle, you're more than welcome to. The meeting is in an hour, it gives time for any more to arrive..'.. She spotted Conrad come in with Alana and stood, flitting off to them.

She threw her arms around him, hugging him tight before doing the same with Alana, who giggled... 'Congratulations, both of you. I'm so so happy for you..'.. She took both their hands in hers, unable to contain the big grin on her face as they walked back to her table. She led them up to the others, and introduced them all.

She sat back in the middle of her guys, looking at the young couple... 'I'm glad you're here. There's one law I'm changing, mainly because of you two..'

'Why do I get the feeling you're going to change everything?..'.. Conrad smirked at her, as he picked up a free glass... 'Heard about how you took down Connor, not surprised you did, he had it coming. Badass boss bitch now..'

Lexi threw her head back laughing, while Alana slapped the back of her hand to his chest... 'Really? You want to make remarks to our leader?..'

'Alana..'... The young fae turned to her, looking worried... 'I openly welcome for everyone to speak their minds. I'm not insulted at all. I appreciate people feeling relaxed and comfortable in themselves to speak how they wish. Just because I am now leader, doesn't mean I be a tyrant..'

'Alexandria has a fair heart my dear..'... Eli hands Alana a glass of champagne... 'You will see at the meeting..'

'Right..'... Lexi downs the rest of her glass, standing up again... 'I want to dance, who's coming?..'.. Alana, Romanoff and Reyah all joined her, and she found Thalia, Rose and Kari on the dance floor too. She was able to let go, and have fun, knowing her hans were safe with the others.

'And how are you gentlemen feeling?..'... Nicholas smirks at the lustful expressions on the mens faces, as they watched the women dance provocatively. He poured more drinks for everyone, and handed them out.

'Are they ok?..'.. Conrad asked, pointing to the four humans still sat with them. Eli chuckled as he took the drink from his brother.

'I'm sure they are just taking in this new experience. How is your faction Conrad?..'.. Eli smiles at him.

Conrad sighed, watching his fiancé having fun... 'Better. I know there's still a few who won't accept our relationship, but that doesn't matter to me. It's the same for her, she's been shunned by the older ones, because she's tarnished herself with me..'.. He looks between Eli and Nicholas... 'Do you think Lexi would marry us?..'

Both brothers looked over to Lexi and back at Conrad... 'Yes, without hesitation. She wants everyone to have love, to feel loved whether it's in their faction or not..'

'She loves us..'.. Conrad turns his head to see Bucky gesturing between himself and Steve... 'We're almost 100 years old, super soldiers. We may be human, but we're different. And she..'... He nods over to the girls... 'Is a vampire agent who can kick ass, and is now leader of the supernatural..'.. He shrugs... 'I don't care as to what she is, because to me, she's just Lexi. She saved me, loves me and gives everything to protect me..'

Conrad felt a swell in his chest, feeling better about his relationship with Alana. He was worried about how their union would affect her more than him. He didn't want her to be banished from her family, her home. He smiled at Bucky, raising his glass... 'Thank you, and I hope we all get to have a love like that for ourselves..'
