The jet ride back to the tower, wasn't very long, but Lexi had stayed by his side the whole time. She could feel Rogers eyes on her from time to time, but she didn't care. She kept a hold of Barnes metal hand in hers, giving him some comfort.

'Rogers if you stare at me one more time, I'll beat you with your own shield. What's your drama?'... She rolls her head in his direction, staring back at him.

She saw him huff and fold his arms, scowling at her... 'Since when are you ever nice to anyone? I seem to recall you threatening and hurting pretty much everyone..'

Lexi smirked at him... 'Since this one gave me a good seeing to last night. What's the real issue here Cap, you disappointed I turned you down... twice?'

Romanoff spun in her seat, looking between Lexi and Steve... 'Hold up..'.. She looked at Steve... 'You..'.. She pointed at him, then to Lexi... 'Asked her out? And you're still alive and breathing? Damn Rogers, you got a death wish. And you asked twice?..'.. She looked at Lexi... 'Last guy who asked you out, ended up with a broken leg. Why did you let Rogers off so easy?'

Lexi chuckled, feeling Barnes tense next to her. Her fingers slipped from his hand, an onto his leg, drawing circles... 'Fury threatened me with a timeout if I hurt Cap over there..'.. She nods at him. She saw his eyes flick between her and Barnes. Turning her head, she sighed, seeing him staring off into space. She leaned in, and whispered in his ear... 'Do you need another distraction... James?'

She pulled back, seeing him close his eyes and a shiver ran through him. She chuckled, leaning her had on his shoulder, and patting his leg... 'After I get cleaned up. I'll need your help to wash my back'

She heard Rogers growl slightly, and she smirked over at him... 'Sorry Cap, I don't think Barnes is up to sharing'

Tony made a noise, turning away, as Barton and Romanoff sniggered... 'We're 5 minutes out. Grab your gear ready people!'... Barton calls out.

Lexi lifted her head, as Barnes turned to look at her. She saw hesitancy and fear in his eyes. She gave him a nod and whispered again... 'I'll stay with you until you're settled, don't worry'... He gave her a small smile, and a nod. There was something else going on, but she didn't push him about it. She hoped he trusted her enough to tell her.

They all made their way to the labs, and Lexi made sure her and Barnes were at the back of the team. She didn't want him to feel cornered. Still holding his hand as they entered, she looked around, impressed... 'Damn boys, you've certainly upgraded since last time..'.. Her eyes catch Bruce and he looks around, seeing her, his eyes going wide as he backs up slightly... 'Easy Banner, I'm here as a friendly. Plus, sorry for the..'.. She flicks a finger in the air... 'Actually not sorry, but sorry for making you uncomfortable..'

Bruce leaned back against his work station, his eyes fixed on the Agent, until he noticed her holding someone's hand. He saw how she leaned into the guy, and he let out a breath of relief... 'Uh, apology accepted Agent Adams..'.. He gestured to the table in the middle of the room... 'Would you mind..?'

Lexi nodded at Bruce, and led Barnes over. She patted the table indicating for him to sit on it. He did as she wanted, still holding onto her hand.

'I still don't know what happened between you and Banner. The guy won't tell me..'.. Lexi looked over at Tony, seeing him huff in a pout. She gave him a wicked grin, and winked at Bruce as he came over.
