Lexi stood in front her chair up on the dais, looking around at everyone as they kneeled before her. She took a deep breath, knowing that this was the right thing to do... 'First I will call upon my chosen council, then the new laws I have written. For the Demons I call Marcus Finnigan..'

She watched him raise his head, looking around, confused as he stood. He walked towards her and nodded in respect, and she gestures to the chair on the far right of her. She gave him a small smile, as he took his seat.

'Elves, Erwyn Anders..'.. He did the same, nodding in respect, and taking his seat.

'Dragons, Thaila Blake..'..

'Shifters, Vanessa Sathe..'..

'Witches, Rose Johnson..'..

'Asgardians, Tristan Fenrinson..'..

They took their seats and she held back the grin... 'Vampires, Eli Gillingham..'.. She knew he was the perfect choice. It was clear he was shocked, but he stood, taking his place on the left of her as she indicated. There were 3 seats left, but only 2 factions, little did they know who the last one was for.

'Faes, Alana Birch, and Wolves, Conrad Wolfe..'.. She waited as they both came to her... 'You both wish to be united in marriage?..'.. They nodded at her... 'You have my blessing. I would be honoured to officiate for you both..'.. She held her hand out to the left, and they both took a seat, grinning as they held hands, sitting next to each other.

'As you can all see, there is one left. I know each of the factions are represented here in my council..'.. She indicates to them.. 'But there is one that was not considered before..'.. She stood straight, clasping her hands in front of her... 'Humans. With the world now opening their eyes to other life outside of their own, it won't be long before they know of us. I want to have someone on my council as their representative. I have human mates..'.. She nods to them at the back... 'And they know of our world. We need to move forward with the times, be progressive..'

She smiled around the room... 'For the humans, I call Natasha Romanoff to the council..'

Nat stood rooted to the spot for a moment. She certainly hadn't expected to ever see anything like this, let alone be called to take part in it all. Feeling a little shove from Clint, she walked forward towards Lexi, who gestured to the empty seat, next to hers on the right. Nat sat down, and Lexi blew her a kiss.

Turning back to face the others before her Lexi stood proud... 'Are there any objections to those who sit on council?..'

Every one of them answered no. She could see that Nicholas and Reyah were beaming at their brother, and fought back a giggle. She had never seen the two of them so happy before... 'Good. Now for the laws..'

She spoke loudly and clearly about every one of them, going into detail about them all, just to show there was no loophole. The main one was the younglings, that law was still in place, never being changed. She added in the condition, that if anyone wanted to raise a human child, they were to be assessed first, for protection.

It took another hour, but once her laws were spoken, they were final. Sitting down in her seat, she took a breath... 'Tomorrow evening, we will take our first council meeting about your concerns, for now please enjoy the rest of the night..'

Everyone began to talk, and come forward to congratulate them all... 'My dear, I would have thought you'd choose Nicholas for your council, not I..'.. Lexi turned to Eli and smiled at him... 'Out of the three of you, you are the most clear headed and logical when it comes to dealing with situations. The other two are quite impulsive..'.. She knew they would hear her.

'Lex..'.. She turned to look at Romanoff on her other side. She could tell the woman was nervous... 'I don't get it. Why would you choose me, and not one of your guys?..'

'Because you are loyal, compassionate, understanding and most of all, accepting. There's no one else I'd rather have sat at my side, helping me to make both your world and mine a better place..'.. Lexi took her hand in hers, giving it a squeeze.

'Now, shall we go finish partying, and then head back?..'... Lexi winked at her and stood.

'Deam Supra, may we have a moment?..'.. She turned her head, seeing Thalia give her a small nod.

Lexi turned back to Nat... 'Go join the others, I'll be with you soon..'.. She watched her return to the other guys, and they left, to head back into the club... 'Yes Thalia, is everything ok?..'

'Oh, yes yes. It's just, you accepted Conrad and Alanas relationship and I wondered if that rule applies to everyone?..'.. Thalia fidgeted with her hands.

'Of course it does. I made that law. Cross relationships are allowed, and no faction can shun or punish for it. Thalia..'.. The woman looked at her... 'Who is it?..'

'Its Eve, from the witch faction. I know we are both women, its-..'..

'Its beautiful..'.. Lexi smiled at her, taking Thalias hands... 'Love comes in many forms, and I can see your love for her shining in you. You both have my blessing Thalia. If your factions have any issues, come to me. Are you happy?..'

'Yes, so happy..'.. Lexi saw the womans eyes sparkle with happy tears.

'That's all that matters. No more hiding, no more worrying. Be free, be happy. I'm glad you're on my council Thalia..'.. She hugged the woman and then stepped back... 'I know your faction will settle under your command..'

She linked arms with her friend, and the two headed for the door, leading back up into the club... 'I have to ask, and you don't have to answer but, how many mates do you have? They're all gorgeous..'.. Thalia asked her and Lexi laughed.

'Only two. One is mate to Reyah, the redhead on my council is a personal friend, one guy is already taken, but it's the two bigger guys, that are my mates. Both got a lot of stamina though..'.. She sighs contentedly, as they walk down the hallway... 'All the Avengers are under my protection..'

'Do they know?..'.. Thalia stopped, giving her a look.

'No they don't, but at least this way, no one else can use persuasion on them..'.. She pulled on her friends arm, and pushed open the door, back into the club. Her eyes went straight to her men, sitting back in the VIP area. She would never tell them if she could help it. Persuading them all was tricky, but she'd rather that, than anyone else take control of them.
