Lexi stood outside her house, already knowing they were there. She sighed, looking across to Nicholas, and shaking her head... 'Its fine, I'll be alright..'

'I will stay close by, should you need me love..'.. He gave her a nod, then looked over to the house. They had just spent the last 2 days in New Orleans, and he hoped it was enough of a distraction for her... 'I will let the others know..'

He watched as she walked up the path, pausing at the front door before entering the house. He pulled out his phone, calling Natasha. Though she was away travelling, he knew that she would want know.

'Hey Nic, what's up?..'.. He could hear that she was in a busy area, but she had moved away from the others in the background, to hear him better.

'The soldiers are at the house. She has just gone inside, I am worried for her Natasha..'.. He kept his eyes on the house, not wanting to leave.

He heard her sigh... 'I knew they would come back after last time, I just hoped I was there to help her through it..'

'We are all here for her, but I am concerned about how this will go..'..

'I know Nic, but we have to trust her to handle it herself, you know she can. Just support her as you always do..'.. He heard her move outside.

She stayed where she was, her back against her front door, knowing that they were in her kitchen. Closing her eyes, she basked in their smell, smiling at the memories it triggered... 'Seeing as you're in the kitchen, grab me a glass and bring in the gin. Beers are in the fridge if you want any..'.. She kicked off her shoes, pushing herself from the door and into her front room. She kept her back to them, as they shuffled about, before coming into the room.

'The gun is not necessary either alpha, I know why you're here..'.. She sighed, turning around to them. He breath got ripped from her, just seeing them stood there, her heart aching all over again. She gave them both a smile, her gaze flickering between them.

Barnes raised the gun at her, taking a step forward... 'Who are you?..'.. He growled out... 'What did you do to my mind? Our minds? Where's Nat?..'

She sighed, shaking her head... 'All these questions and still didn't bring me a drink. Give me a second..'.. She flitted out of the room to the kitchen, getting them drinks and was back before they even realised she had gone. She held out the two beers with one hand, as she sipped her drink with the other... 'You can still interrogate me and have a drink you know..'

Steve hesitated, but put his shield down, taking both beers from her. He kept his eyes on her as he held one out to Bucky, who cautiously took it with his free hand... 'Didnt think we'd see you again Adams, it's been a while. Last time was when you brought Bucky to the tower..'

'Ask what you really want to ask Captain, and I'll answer..'.. She dropped herself onto her couch, putting her feet up, and gesturing for them to sit on the one across from her... 'To answer yours alpha..'.. Her gaze flicked to him as he sat, his grip still right on the gun in his hand... 'You know who I am, but your memories are different from what I allowed you to remember. I persuaded you to forget me and Romanoff really is travelling, I spoke with her this morning, and she is currently in London..'

She took a large gulp of her drink, watching them... 'What do you mean, you persuaded us to forget?..'.. Captain asks, sipping his beer.

'I made you forget me, because I didn't want to put you at risk from my world anymore, I wanted to keep you both safe..'.. She gave them a sad smile, her fingers tapping her glass... 'Ive been miserable without you both, and having you both here, now, I can't keep doing this without you..'
