Forty-Seven

Once she knew they were both asleep, Lexi slipped from the room, and up to the main floor, where she knew her friends would be. She was hungry, and needed to feed. Flitting to the kitchen, she would sustain herself with food for now.

'Did you really think we're wouldn't bring you back anything love?..'.. Lexi let out a sigh, hearing the tease in Nicholas voice. She turned from the cupboard, placing a hand on her hip.

'I take it you wore out your soldiers?..'... Lexi walked over to him, as he sat on one of the couches with his feet up, a cooler of blood bags next to him. Eli was out on the balcony, she could see, but Reyah was nowhere to be found. Lexi couldn't feel her near.

She watched as he shifted on the couch, to sit up, and she flopped down next to him, reaching for a bag to drink, and then tucking in to his side. He put his arm around her, as she sunk her teeth into the bag, moaning in pleasure at the taste.

'Go slow Alexandria, you do not want to make yourself sick, feeding so quickly..'.. He strokes her back. Once she emptied the bag, she sighed, tossing the empty back, back into he cooler.

'First off, thank you for bringing some for me. Second, no I didn't wear them out, they wore themselves out..'.. She pouted, dropping her hands into her lap... 'They wouldn't let me play..'

She heard him chuckle, and she turned her head, scowling at him... 'I told them you would flip back eventually..'.. He tucked some of her hair behind her ear... 'You my dear, have amazing control over yourself..'

Lexi snorted and rolled her eyes... 'Being a fang, isn't all that hard Nicholas. I dont know why you all made a big deal about 'No self control'..'... She air quoted.

She hears Eli come back in, and he chuckled at her as he walked over... 'Dear girl, you are the rare exception. Not everyone has the capacity nor the capability to handle the transition as smoothly as you did..'.. He sits down on the couch opposite.

Lexi gave him a look... 'Did you forget the revenge rampage I went on? I literally ripped them to shreds, with my bare hands...'

'And not one of us judged you for it..'.. Eli sat forward, looking at her, while Nicholas continued to stroke her back... 'In our 700 years, we have never come across someone as unique as you. You had every right to extract your revenge, but you did not let it consume you. You have given so much, to make this world better. For us beings, and the humans. None if us deserve your love and kindness..'

'He's right love..'.. She turned, looking at Nicholas next to her... 'You are Lamia Dea. You are what the witches spoke of..'.. He cups her face with his hand, smiling at her, as though she was the most precious thing he had ever seen... 'You are the one, that will lead us all. Word has already spread through the factions, we all follow you..'

Lexi sat stunned, looking between both men... 'N-no. No, when it comes to Connor, I face him alone. All I ask, is for your to protect the team, that's all..'

'And we will over, I promise. But Eli, Reyah and I, we have already decided, we are with you, always. You're our family Alexandria, you changed us for the better, shown us how to live in peace..'.. Nicholas hand moves from her face to her shoulder, gripping her lightly.

'I settled with Grace, Eli with Mena. Before you, we didn't think it was possible, to have a love, to have some normalcy back in our lives. You gave us that..'.. Nicholas sat back, rolling his eyes... 'If you can sort out our darling sister, than you have scored a hat trick..'.. Both men chuckled.

Lexi didn't say anything, but reached for another bag. She could feel the two of them watching her, and she was getting irritated... 'The others..'.. Her eyes flicked to Eli as he spoke... 'They know what you have done, not just for our faction, but for the wolves, faes, shifters, all of them. They all met this evening, in every state. It was a unanimous decision..'

'What was?..'.. She frowned, not having a clue.

Elis gaze flicked to Nicholas, and them back to her... 'Every faction, in every state, will follow you. They all named you Deam Supra. They wish to follow your rule..'

Lexi shook her head, and stood, pacing back and forth... 'No, nope, not happening. I don't want to rule the otherworlders. I am an agent, first and foremost. Ruling has never crossed my mind..'.. She was getting worked up, and drank the bag dry in seconds, throwing it at Nicholas.

'Was it your suggestion?..'.. She scowled at him, seeing his smirk... 'It was, wasn't it? Damn you Nic, you're an asshole. Why, would you do that to me?'

'Take a breather love, and sit down, before you wear a hole in Starks floor..'.. He patted the couch next to him, and she huffed, flopping back down, folding her arms... 'I love it when you pout..'.. He tossed the empty bag into the cooler.

Lexi growled at the two of them... 'I'm not ruling anyone, get it?..'

'My dear, think of it..'.. She turned to Eli... 'You can bring peace to them all. There would be no more wars between the factions. You can choose who you wish as your council, create laws they must follow. You have already done so much, without knowing...'

'Conrad is engaged to a fae..'.. Nicholas says, and she whips her head round to him, shocked. That was unheard of, one from a faction, being with another being.

'Conrad, wolf Conrad? Who is he engaged to?..'.. She was surprised, but felt love for the guy. He was one of the kindest she had ever met.

'Alana..'.. He said, smiling at her... 'It was a surprise to us all, but their love is genuine. Many of us have seen it, and gives us hope. You did that..'

Lexi thought back to the day she introduced the two of them. She hadn't thought that they would be together, just that they were both so kind, and deserved a friendship. That it blossomed into more, she felt happy thst they got to experience what she had with her men.

'And their factions are ok with that?..'.. She looked between the brothers, and they both chuckled.

'Love, they know you played a part in it, and have accepted the relationship..'.. Nicholas rubbed a hand over her back... 'They all hope to have a love like that too, it's one of the reasons why they want you to rule. They wish to have you change the rule of who they can be with..'

'Since the news of Conrad and Alana, it has travelled across the country, the world. More cross relationships have come to light, they want to feel accepted. You have no idea of the impact you have already made for our world..'.. Eli nods at her.

Lexi felt overwhelmed at the thought, that because of her, others were able to feel loved. If she did choose to rule, she could be the one to show them all, love and acceptance. She sighed, shaking her head.

'Let's deal with Connor first, then I'll think about it..'.. She felt Nicholas pull her to him, wrapping an arm around her as she curled up, her head on his chest.

'That is all we are asking love. Now rest, you need your strength..'.. He kissed the top of her head, and Lexi closed her eyes, drifting off. She could hear the two of them talking quietly, but sleep soon took hold.
