Twenty-Six

It had been a couple of hours since lunch, and Steve was still in his room, laying on his bed as he stared at the ceiling. Everything was running through his mind. The dream, in the kitchen last night. Being alone with Bucky earlier and her next to him at kitchen, stroking his leg.

He didn't know if they were playing with him, or if it was real. Did they somehow know about his dream? Were they trying to make him uncomfortable after his moment in the kitchen with her last night?

He sighed, rubbing a hand over his face, and sat up. Whatever it was, how they were being, was sending him into a spin. Not once, in his whole unfrozen life, had he ever felt this way. He had never had such dark desirable thoughts about anyone. The way he imagined them together, it was different.

Hearing a knock on his door, he hesitated to answer it... 'Jarvis, who's at my door?'

'Agent Adams and Sergeant Barnes, Captain..'

Steve dropped his head. He was torn as to whether he wanted to open the door and talk to them. Unfortunately, that choice was taken when he heard the click of his door unlocking, and the two walked in.

'Well Captain, I find it rude to keep guests waiting..'.. He watched her stop at the end of his bed, her hands on her hips as Bucky closed the door... 'Lock it..'... Bucky does as he's told, and leans against the wall to his closet, smirking as he folds his arms... 'Jarvis, soundproof Captains room please. We need to talk..'

Steve gulped, wondering what she would do. She was wild, unpredictable and a complete tease. His eyes passed to Bucky, seeing them darken.

'So Captain..'.. Steve tried not to let it show how much his title affected him, when it fell from her lips... 'When did you grow a pair to tease me like that? When you asked me out twice, you were all sweet and innocent. But that, wow. Got me so wet, I needed a shower and a release..'

Steve watched as she pulled out his desk chair, turning it and sat down... 'Barnes, sit there..'... She points to the end of the bed... 'You too Rogers. We need to talk..'

Barnes does as he's told, but Rogers stay where he is. She arches an eyebrow at him... 'Move it Rogers, or I'll move you myself'

Steve sighed, getting up and moving to sit next to Bucky. Being this close to him, his body began to twitch.

'Now, this is a serious talk. There will be no shame, no hiding, just honesty, got it?'.. They both nodded at her... 'Good. So Rogers, what was that about last night? Don't worry Barnes already knows..'

Steve looked at her, taking a breath... 'I don't know. I saw you last night, and what you were wearing, something in me took over. I don't know why I behaved like that, I'm sorry..'

'Don't be sorry, I liked it. Took a lot of willpower not see where it would go. But I needed to talk to Barnes first, and we have spoken about it..'.. She smiled at the two of them... 'Not going lie Rogers, I've wanted you since the day we met. But you were too good and innocent at the time. I don't know what has changed since the last time I saw you, but this side of you, its hot..'

Steve chuckled, surprised at what she was saying. He didn't know she wanted him... 'I don't know. Since that day I saw Buck after the attack on the bridge, knowing that SHIELD had been infiltrated by Hydra, I guess things changed..'... He sighed, shaking his head.

'Waking up from the ice, seeing the world was different, it was hard to fit in, and I did after some time. Back in our days, life seemed much simpler. Women were a lot different from you..'.. He gestured to Lexi.

'I hope I'm not about to be insulted here Rogers..'.. Barnes winked at her as she spoke.

'I think what he means, is you are so much more than what we're were raised to see in women..'.. Bucky looked down at his hands, then back at her... 'I had taken a lot of women on dates, but didn't sleep with many of them. I didn't want to. I felt I had to keep up the image of a ladies man, because..'

Lexi knew. She could see where he was going with it... 'Because you felt something, for someone else, and it was frowned upon in society..'

'Yeah..'.. He sighed, shifting slightly as he turned to Steve... 'It wasn't normal to have any sort of feelings for another man. Knowing that you were so close, yet so far..'.. He shrugged... 'I'd kept it to myself. I'd always have your back. If I couldn't be with you, I settled on being your best friend...'

Steve turned to Bucky, frowning at him... 'Me? Y-you had feelings for me? But..'.. He couldn't believe what he was hearing... 'I was a sick scrawny kid. Why me?'

Bucky shook his head... 'I never saw you as that Steve, not once. When you rescued me and the guys from behind the lines, seeing how different you were, it surprised me. Hell, it just brought it all back, stronger. I thought I'd say something, after we won, but I fell from the train and well, you know..'

Lexi smiled. Her heart fluttered, proud of him for saying it. She wasn't angry, or jealous, just happy for him.

Steve stood, and paced about the room. He didn't know what to think. He never thought about it, not once. But here he was, in a different era, with his best friend, who was telling him that he had feelings... 'Those feelings..'.. He turned, seeing the two of them watching him... 'Are they still there?'

'They never left. When Hydra took me, it took a while for them to break me. Because the one thing I held on to, was you. You were the reason I fought back, every time. Even when they wiped me, I'd still get flashes of you..'.. Bucky stood... 'That day on the helicarrier, you snapped me out of it. Nothing and no one else could have. You saved me Steve..'

Steve closed his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose. He looked between the two of them... 'And you? You said you wanted me from day one. Why now?..'

Lexi smiled at him, leaning back in the chair as she folded her arms... 'You were the good guy. I didn't want to corrupt your image. As I told Barnes..'.. She gestured to him...'I fell in love with you, that day in the battle with Loki, when you grabbed me and talked back...'

'What? You're in love with me?..'... He really needed to wake up, this was all just too much.

'And Barnes. Both of you. There's so many different reasons as to why, but..'.. She shrugged... 'Can't help who you fall for, right?'

Bucky saw it in her eyes, that she loved the both of them, everything they had talked about, since they left Abbot, she had always been honest with him, and never once made him feel he wasn't worth her love.

'This is just..'... Steve ran a hand over his face... 'This is just too much right now..'

Lexi stood, taking Barnes hand in her, giving him a kiss. She walked over to Rogers, as he turned to look at her, and she pulled him close, kissing him deeply.

Steve kissed her back, with the same amount of urgency as her. He felt her pull back, and she smiled at him... 'When you're ready to talk more, you know where I'll be. Now, I'll leave you both to talk more. I got a Stark to see...'

Both men watched as she licked her lips, and sauntered to the door, leaving. Steve turned to Bucky, seeing him take the chair she had sat in... 'She's right, we do need to talk alone...'
