Bucky coughed, feeling pressure on his legs, as he hung upside down. He turned his head, seeing Lexi unconscious, in the passenger seat next to him. He reached out, pressing his fingers to her neck, feeling for a pulse.
He let out a breath, that she was still alive. He listened, hearing the sound of a truck, stopping in the distance. He didn't know who it was, but from the slam of a door, he knew they were coming for them.
Using his metal arm, he ripped his seat belt from him, then pulled the steering wheel up as far as he could. He braced himself, with his other arm on the roof underneath him, wiggling his legs free.
Within seconds, he dropped. Carefully turning himself round, he pulled her belt free, cradling her as she dropped.
The footsteps came closer, and he could hear it was at least 2 of them. With what light he had, he felt around for their bags. Grabbing them both, he shuffled out of the wreck, pulling her along with him, with his hands under her shoulders.
Once they were far enough away, he scooped her up, and ran as quickly and quietly as he could. He didn't know where he was going, he just knew he had to get them away.
Bucky was completely terrified at the thought of going back to Hyrda. He would fight like hell, to make sure he never went back. And he'd protect her too, from that same fate.
He focused on the sounds around him, the footsteps he heard before, he could no longer hear them. He kept running, not wanting to stop or slow down. Feeling the ground beneath him change, from hard rocky surface, to soft grass, he knew that they were close to some sort or residence.
A few moments later, he squinted, seeing a house up ahead. Slowing his pace slightly, he cautiously made his way towards the building. He couldn't see any lights on, but that didn't mean that no one was home.
Carefully laying Lexi on the ground, near the shed, he left the bags next to her, and crept towards the house. He hoped it was empty, as they needed somewhere to rest and get patched up.

Lexi woke up, with her head swimming. She tried to remember what had happened, and where the hell she was. The last thing she could remember, was Barnes waking her up.
She carefully sat up, her wound on her side hurting like hell, and her legs felt sore. It was so dark she could barely see, but could see her bag and his, against her legs. She grabbed hers, and pulled it to her, feeling that it was soaked. From the smell of it, the vodka bottle had broken... 'Fuck sake!'... She hissed. She really needed to take the edge off the pain.
She wondered where he was, clearly he was still close by if he had left his bag with her. Carefully getting to her feet, she picked up both bags. Coming around the side of what looked like a shed, she could just make out a house.
The lights were off, and she wondered if he had gone there. Slowly making her way towards it, she listened out for any noise. She could hear crickets, and the sound of some cows in the distance.
Lexi felt weak and exhausted. She knew she was no good in a fight right now, but she would give hell, if anyone came for her. She stepped up onto the deck, that wrapped around the house. Making her way to one window, she carefully peered in.
She couldn't make out much, so she moved towards the door, knocking on it. When no response came, she knocked a little louder, waiting to see if anyone lived there. After waiting another minute, she reached for the handle, when two hands came around her. One across her mouth, the other round her waist.
'Its me, shh..'.. Lexi felt herself relax, hearing his voice in her ear. Unfortunately, her trecherous body shivered. She felt him let her go, and his hands dropped from her.
