Loud banging filled the building as Sasha took her anger and pain out on the church bench. She used an axe to break apart the wooden seat. Moon minded his business, knowing not to interfere with an angry woman.

He carried bundles of wood out of the church and over to Rick who nailed the wood to the windows. Noah, a boy Daryl brought back with him, gave him a small nod as they passed each other. Moon returned it with a smile.

Rick nodded to the ground, his boyfriend let the wood fall at their feet. "He wants to go to Atlanta, but I can't have that." They looked at Carl who was talking with Noah. "Then stay with him. I'll go." Moon already knew Rick wouldn't go for that. He was just making it an option.

"I owe it to Carol." The leader shook his head. "We all owe Carol." Moon looked up at Rick, leaning back against the church. "I owe her more." Rick meant it, what she did for them. It was everything.

Moon nodded, grabbing Rick's hands. "Carl is getting older. He's starting to understand he doesn't have to be a part of the action to help. He helps by staying safe. Protecting Judith. He's a good big brother." It made them proud, Carl made them proud.

"He is. I think he's trying to be like you... a protector." Rick smiled, the way his eyes brightened made Moon's stomach flutter. He couldn't help but blush, shaking his head bashfully. "You think?" His fingers twisted a strand of hair, looking up at Rick with a red face.

The tall man nodded with a big grin on his face. He enjoyed the height difference, and he loved the blush that rarely ever came to his boyfriend. Rick knew only he could cause such a reaction from Moon, and it made him feel special.

Just thinking this made him feel a certain way. Rick took a step closer to Moon, using their conjoined hands to make Moon hold his waist. "I hate being away from you." He muttered, pressing his forehead against his boyfriends. Moon smiled sadly, leaving butterfly kisses on Rick's jaw before pulling him into a hug.

Rick put his face in the space between Moon's shoulder and neck, his head shaking at the thought of them being apart again. "We'll always find each other, Rick. There will never be a last time for us. I'll follow you, even after we're gone." Moon couldn't make the promise of them always being together, but he could promise forever. Even if that was only a few years for them.

Moon kissed the top of Judith's head, he had already said his goodbyes to Carl. Rick already said his goodbyes to Judith. "Da." She patted his shoulder, kicking her feet against his stomach. "Me and Daddy will be back soon, okay? You just stay with Carl and Aunt Michonne." He spoke to her like she would understand.

She did understand in a way, he assumed anyway. Smiling sadly he passed her over to Michonne. The woman volunteered to stay with the kids and Gabriel at the church. Judith didn't seem to like the change, she twisted in Michonne's arms, reaching for her dad with a whine.

Moon was turned away from her, already knowing the sad face she wore would make him want to stay. Judith watched as Moon and Rick walked out of the church. Michonne bounced her, taking her attention away from the closing doors.

Moon took the driver's seat of the van they had found abandoned in town. He liked driving, it was calming. And Rick liked sitting in the passenger seat. He liked not having to do anything, he only had to watch Moon drive.

"We good?" Moon looked back at everyone who piled into the van. Tyreese gave him a nod, he gave one back. Moon started the van, driving away from the white church.

Daryl sat near the front, giving him directions as he drove. Noah sat across from him, looking out the front window. There wasn't much conversation during the drive, everyone silently thought about different things.
