The next four days went by in darkness. The brothers were kept in the same cell, Negan wanted it that way. He wanted them to dwell on what they almost lost, what they still could lose. He wanted them to be grateful, grateful to him for letting Glenn live. In his eyes, he was the savior he preached.

The brothers barely slept, over and over again, a song played. The same song, on repeat. The men only saw light once a day when the door was opened so Dwight could give them food. It was dog food but when you're hungry, it was easy to keep down.

"You used to be so scared of the dark. It's weird to think of how different we get when we grow up." Moon spoke over the music, his head leaning against the hard brick wall. "Not you, you've always been how you are now."

Glenn looked at Moon through the darkness, the cracks in the door gave them the tiniest bit of light. He could see the bruise on his brother's face. "Is that good?" The two ignored the fact they were naked, though that was a crime in itself.

"I think it's... sad... you don't even know what it's like to have the mindset of a child." Glenn answered honestly. His brother has always acted older than he was. Moon was robbed of everything a child was supposed to have, to love.

Moon twirled his hair around his finger, looking away. "Hopefully Judith is okay. I've never been gone this long before. She isn't used to being without me." He changed the topic, missing his daughter.

When Moon went on runs it was never for more than a few days. And he always brought her something back with him. Moon felt bad when she cried because he left, she knew she wouldn't see him for a while.

"She's like you, she'll be okay." Glenn had noticed the similarities between Moon and Judith. The little girl picked up on a lot of habits Moon had. She copied him all the time. They both can't leave their hair alone, Judith saw Moon touching his constantly. And it made her want to do the same.

They both liked music and singing. When he and Maggie spent breakfast with the Grimes family, Judith was always in her high chair trying to sing. Her eyes would be on Moon, just waiting for him to praise her for her effort.

Glenn was sure when she grew older and found her own personality, a little bit of Moon would shine through. Even in himself, he saw his brother. When you are loved by Moon it's hard for him not to leave an everlasting impression.

"Do you like being an uncle?" Moon hesitated to ask. Glenn didn't know the question was deeper than it sounded. Moon asked for a reason, not the reason he was thinking. "Of course I do. I love babies and kids. Judith and Carl really make me excited for my own."

It made Moon smile to hear. "Yeah? Tell me about it." He loved hearing his brother's excited rambles. Glenn hardly did that anymore. He hardly ever had anything to be excited about. Moon hoped the baby would change that.

Glenn started telling him all about the plans he had. How he'll raise the baby. What he wanted to teach them. The things he wanted to do as a father. Moon listened, nodding along with a smile. But he was paranoid, constantly listening to the footsteps near their cell.

Negan said his brother's life would cost him something. Moon didn't want to know what it was he owed. But it was only a matter of time before his debt was due.

Glenn and Moon took small glances at the hunter who sat in front of them. Daryl refused to look back. He looked terrible. Not just because of the bruises. Daryl couldn't hide from the guilt that weighed him down.
