Freyja’s POV

It has been a month since the war between the Mafiosos ended. Evil was prevailed and peace and harmony was restored. And after everything that has happened, I cannot help but be scared most of the times.

There were even days that I will wake up from a nightmare, crying and shivering from fear. I still get flashbacks of all the things that happened, the things he did and what he could have done to me. He scarred me, for good. And I will probably carry these wounds all of my life.

Still, I am grateful to God for giving me the most amazing man on Earth. Nanatili si Luke sa aking tabi, at patuloy na nananatili. Sinamahan niya ako sa lahat ng therapies ko, syempre kasama ang aming anak. Every day was a challenge to get up, but I am glad that he stayed.

Nagising ako na may kakaibang nararamdaman sa aking katawan. Mabilis akong napabangon nang maramdaman kong naduduwal ako. Nang makarating sa lababo ay tsaka ako sumuka kahit wala naman akong naisuka. Nagmumog ako at naghilamos bago lumabas ng kwarto. Sanay na ako na may mga araw na gigising ako at wala na si Luke sa tabi namin.

Bumaba ako sa kusina para maghanda nang umagahan bago ko ginising si Luka. At pagkatapos no’n ay sinama ko ang aking anak sa pag-attend ng therapy ko.

“Baby, do you want to go to the mall muna?” I asked my son while I drove my car on the busy road. Naisipan ko na mag-unwind muna tutal ay may madadaanan kaming mall bago umuwi.

“Sure, Mimi.” my son answered, his eyes shimmering and he looked so cute that I could not help but to smile.

I put my phone face down on the counter after updating Luke.

“Are you hungry, baby?” I asked my son, staring down at him while I hold his little hand.

“I want Jollibee, Mimi!”

And so, we ate first. Dinala ko din siya sa playground. While watching my son, I could not help but to tear up a little while I watch him interact and play with other kids. And since there is still one-hour left until the time finishes, naisipan ko na pumunta muna ng Watson’s. My eyes hovered on the counters as I walk my way inside the store.

I scanned every item, one-by-one. There are many new products that catches my eyes. Kumuha ako ng basket nila at naglakad-lakad, putting different items in my basket. Nang ma-satisfy na ako sa mga kinuha kong kung anu-ano ay pumunta na ako sa counter para bayaran ang mga kinuha. The pregnancy kits caught my attention. I was a bit hesitant at first but kumuha ako nang 2 after contemplating.

I walked back to where I left Luka. Hinanap ko siya sa mga batang naglalaro pero nang hindi ko makita ang anak ko ay parsng may bumundol sa akin puso. Nagsimula na akong kabahan, nahihilo na nasusuka habang tinatanong yung taga-bantay kung nakita niya ba kung nasaan yung anak ko.
