CARTER POV

The lights on this floor went out a few minutes ago and I can tell the staff don't know shit. They think it might be a power outage, but from what? They have no clue.

However, I know what it is from. Before the outage, the lights in Sarah's room were flickering and there was a strange feeling coming from her. I think it was her trying to come back to me.

The energy she used from the lights took out the entire floor and some machines malfunctioned. She doesn't want other people to die or not be able to survive, so I hope she wakes up.

She felt different before the power went out. Her hands were cold one minute and hot the next. It was like she was trying to take my energy, I have told her in the past she could take it whenever she needed. The entity takes a lot from me, but more from her.

Belle thought she saw something behind her on the wall, so she got up and moved around to feel the energy like Sarah taught her. When she got around to me, she felt a lot of energy... a dark one.

She got a stomach ache and felt as if someone had punched her in the gut. Belle's back had scratches on the left side and they were super red.

That was not Sarah, it was something else... The entity.

Sarah has to be here or at least knows what is going on. She is smart and gifted. I know she calls it her curse, but she has been opening up more. Her abilities have been growing and she has come a long way from where she was two years ago.

Belle comes into the room and stands near the door to the unlit hallway. She has concerns about Sarah not being Sarah. Whatever Sarah is fighting or doing, she thinks it is the entity.

Belle could be right, but as I said, Sarah is smart and she will make the right decision. She feels a light pull toward Sarah and that is why I am still having hope that she will pull through.

A doctor comes into the room after Belle and checks Sarah's vitals. Every hour on the hour they take turns doing this to check their well-being. Most people are on some type of machine on the wing.

The people who are low-risk get fewer check ups and less attention while the others get more. I think that is pretty fair.

Kylie is awake and she is one of the people getting less treatment. Belle mostly stays with her and I stay here with Sarah of course.

"She has no change in her vitals," the doctor turns to me.

He looks displeased, "you should go home and get some rest."

"No,' I shake my head. He leaves the room after a few more words about they will call if anything changes.

Belle comes closer to me when he leaves out of the door. She doesn't reach the bed fully but stands behind me.
