*TW Mention of SA*
Duluth
I can't seem to focus on the car in front of me. The bright lights reflect off of the car's trunk blinding me as I drive down the street.
Chasing the car through the city brings me to a halt when I speed past it, why am I speeding past it?
I'm not here, present in this dream. The car crashes at full speed and I am thrown out of the car. My head hits the concrete making me dizzy, the bright lights pick up again.
Except the car is no longer driving, it pulls up next to me. Foot steps bounce off of the road nearing where I am located, the boots stomp up to me.
This feels strange, picturing myself running along the road. I see myself trying to escape the car, I thought I was here?
Mirroring my actions, the vile comes up my throat.
"DON'T!"
My voice comes out a whisper as much as I try to warn the girl. I can't help myself, I watch as she gets taken down.
A rubbing sound comes from the people in front of me, the lights dim. I can see the picture clearly now, I regret wanting to see.
It's a reflection of my true self. Weak, pathetic, and used. Everything I am, more dullness aches from my body each time I try to scream.
Next, I see a car coming up to the people on the ground. His body is blurred from the rest, he doesn't want to see me. He walks past us like nothing is wrong.
Feelings of guilt, hatred, and sadness haunts me. There is no love for me here, he gives up on me... us.
"I'm not coming home," his voice echoes in my ears.
Do you understand? He hates me, he wants me to be in pain. To get back at me, he allows this to happen.
My screams and cries for him to save me stop, the man gets up. No one is here with me anymore. I am alone.
Plans, my plans have changed once I stepped foot in that house three hours from here. I should have never stepped foot in that horrid place.
The rancid smell of my own sweat makes me gag as I reign into the parking garage. I step foot into the building and wince when I hit my arm on the door.
Clutz.
The powerful door swings open and I walk to the stairs. Running up the three flights of stairs, I grab my key from my front jean pocket. I unlock the door before Kylie could see me.
She sits on the couch watching TV, her hands hold her mug full of coffee on her lap. Her eyes trained on the TV, so she doesn't witness the mess that walked into the apartment.
Broken.
"Cause I am in love," the girl says on the TV screen.
I was in love, but now I am just in pain.
Bracing myself for the sleep deprived tears, I enter my room with a sour face. My heart races and I see dots line up along the walls. My arms feel weak and I try to stay standing, but my legs give out when I reach my bed.
Four Days Ago...
My future breakfast stares back at me while I roll my eyes at Kylie, she insists that I eat a well balanced breakfast this morning. Scrambled eggs, bacon, and apple slices are plated in front of me on the counter.
