Prince Sebastian ~~~

I paced back and forth in the corridor patiently waiting for Queen Cassandra to come out of her room.

I was halfway down the hall when her door opened and she stepped out.

"Your majesty we need to discuss things," I called rushing towards her

"Yes, yes I know. The matters on what to do with my psychotic husband." She frowned

"Uh, well yes...but I was speaking in regards of the ball...and the uh women who are still here," I scratched the back of my head and hoped that Patrick and Aiden had found their one girl.

"Oh right. Of course." She pondered that for a moment and walked away

"Wait! Your majesty," I chased after her "Where are you going?"

"To those women of course. I need to get Patick and Aiden so you can stand before them and pick. Be warned though you may have some broken hearts and some tears coming your way." She paused "Oh I do wish you had more time to find a suitable woman. Oh well, can't be helped."

"Yes I do believe encountering a dozen or so women would have been more entertaining than a war." I said sarcastically

"Men." She muttered

Coming the opposite direction was Patrick and Lady Delia.

Noticing me, Lady Delia blushed and looked down.

"Are you alright?" I asked her

"I'm fine." She looked down avoiding contact

I frowned and turned my attention towards Patrick and his mother

"What do you mean we're picking our wives now?" Patrick gaped

"I mean exactly that," The Queen rolled her eyes

"But I have two..." He trailed off

Queen Cassandra smiled widely and leaned in "Two? What are there names? Are they lovely?"

"Yes mother. You'll meet them sooner than planned though because I'm not ready to pick just one."

"Yes well whatever call their names and then we'll get everything in order." She waved her hand "Now where is Prince Aiden?"

Everyone shook their heads

"Oh is that him over there with that girl?" Lady Delia spoke up and pointing behind us

It was in fact Aiden with a girl who I recall seeing at the ball with him more of the time

I whistled and waved them over here.

"Well hello everyone," Aiden said as he walked over, arms linked with a pretty brown haired girl.

Queen Cassandra quickly explained our dilemma to Aiden.

"Okay well I already have my woman." He said "This is Abigail and she's going to be my wife and future Queen of Erie."

Abigail, clearly shocked began to stutter "My Prince I'm only a kitchen maid who sometimes helps guests get dressed. I have no experience being a Queen I don't think I'm the best choice."

"Too bad, you're the one that I want to love and cherish and have a bunch of babies with. You will rule beside me." He said firmly before turning to Queen Cassandra "Abigail is the one."

~~~
"Ladies, Ladies!" Queen Cassandra called
Every girl turned towards the Queen and began to quiet down further increasing the suspense of having to pick someone.
"Due to..certain circumstances. The three princes will be picking their future bride right now."
The girls voices began to rise and many faces looked worried while some looked smug.
"Those of you who don't get chosen. Please do not cry, faint, yell, scream, or deface my beautiful castle. Rather get your things and leave at once. I apologize in advance if you are not chosen. Those of you who are picked will come to the stage and stand by your prince. That is all."
Queen Cassandra moved to the side and Aiden stepped forward.
"Abigail Fairechild," he called
Abigail, having been standing next to the other women as was required, blushed and made her way towards Aiden who held hands with her.
"I have chosen Abigail Fairechild to be my wife and the new Queen of Erie."
Many of the girls that Aiden had chosen before began to cry and some had immediately run out.
Holding my breath, I watched as Patrick stepped forward and called out the names of his two potential wives.
"Odette Livingston," he called
Odette calmly made her way forward, batting her eyelashes.
In the corner of the room, Serenity stood still as she watched Odette stand beside Patrick and kiss his cheek. A tear rolled down her cheek and she turned and walked away.
Looking at Patrick I noticed he was looking at where Serenity was before.
Clearing his throat he opened his mouth once again.
"Anna Sterling,"
The women gasped at his calling another name.
Anna hesitated before walking near us.
"I choose Odette Livingston and Anna Sterling to be the two women with the potential to be queens of Verona...and to be my wife."
There was an uproar among the women. Claims about how unfair it was that he could choose two.
"Enough!" Queen Cassandra yelled "Women that were here for Prince Aiden and Prince Patrick may leave and if you do not you will be escorted out of here by the guards on hand. Do not claim that this isn't fair because love isn't fair. You cannot be angry at someone for not loving you. Now leave."
There were only women in blue dresses standing around. Nervously waiting for me to call one of their names. I only knew one woman that I wanted to call despite everything that has happened to her and the things that she's done.
I wanted to make her happy above all costs.
I stepped forward and looked into the eyes of someone I knew I would love forever.
