4.  Fight & Resolution

I felt the bed shaking,I slowly opened my eyes and saw Andrea getting ready. "Sorry for waking you up." Andrea said as she put her shoes on. I slowly got up, "It's alright, I needed to get up." "Well, breakfast is ready. Get dressed, I heard from Rick that we are gonna do some training." She left the RV. I got up, got clothes and went into the bathroom. I changed into some pants and a t-shirt, and put my shoes on. I left the RV and saw that everyone was heading towards the house. I saw Daryl get out of his tent, i walked towards him.

"Good morning!" I said, "Morning..." "Were going to the house for breakfast." "I'm good." He said as he was heading to the forest. I grabbed his arm, "Daryl you need to eat." He pulled his arm away, "I'm going hunting." "You are going to eat." I said as I dragged him towards the house. "Stupid girl..." he mumbled, "what was that." I glared at him, "nothin'." He said and we both entered. I let him go and we both went to the dining room.

"Y/N! Good mornin'!" Maggie hugged me, "Morning Daryl," She said and he nods, "Come and sit, breakfast is ready." I sat next to Daryl and we waited for the food. "Y/N..?" Said someone next to me, it was a small boy. "Oh! You must be Carl." "That's me! My mom said you were going to teach me." "That's right! We can learn whatever you want, right after breakfast. Deal?" "Deal!" I smiled and the food arrived.

We all started to eat and I felt someone look at me, I looked up and saw it was Shane. I looked down and kept eating. "So Y/N." Shane said and I looked at him , "We're you always alone." "...uh no.." "Who were you with." "I...with my parents." I said slowly, "What happen to them?" Lori asked and I felt everyone looking at me.

I started to get nervous and started to scratch my hand, "They...uh..they were eaten..." "I'm so sorry Y/N." Lori said as she regretted asking. "I bet you didn't even help. If my parents were in danger, I sure as hell would go and save them. Maybe you wanted them' to die.." Shane said looking at me while eating. My eyes widen, "Shane that's not cool." T-Dog said, "Am I wrong? She's didnt denied it, probably used them as bait." Shane said with a smirk.

"That is not true!I loved my parents! I..I would never...." I felt tears forming and my scratching turned fast and I felt Daryl starring at me."Shane that is enough!" Rick yelled. I got up and quickly left, I went outside. I sat behind a tree and started to cry. What did I do to him?! Why was he so mean.. I looked at the back of my hand and saw that it was red with blood. I hid it under my shirt. "Y/N? Hun please come out." A soft voice said and I didn't move. I felt someone next to me, "Oh Y/N..." i looked up and saw it was Carol. I stood up and she hugged me, I hugged her tighter.

She pulled away and grabbed my face, "What d-does he have a-against me..." I said trying to stop crying. She wiped my tears, "He wants you gone, he's trying to rattle you up, but I promise you we won't let that happen. You are our family." She said with a smile and I softly smile. "Thank you Carol..." I hugged her and she hugged back.

"It's okay if your not ready to go back in, you didn't finish your plate so I'll bring your food here. I'll bring mines too so we can eat together." She said and I nodded. I sat back down and rested my head on the tree.

"Uhm...Y-Y/N...." I looked to my left and saw that it was Beth. I stood up quickly, "Hey Beth.." "I'm so sorry...about what happen' Shane is just a cruel, nasty, horri-" she stoped and got embarrassed, I smiled. "...anyways, I brought you this..." she said handing me a bandage roll. I got it and was confused.

"I...I saw what you did with your hand.." she said and I looked at the back of my hand and it was the marks. "My friend had a habit of doing something similar.." I smiled at her, "Thank you Beth, really." She smiled and hugged me, I was surprised but I hugged her back. She let go and smile, "Your welcome! B-bye.." "Uh Beth!" I said and she looked at me. "Did...anything happened when I left?" "Yes actually. Shane was getting yelled at and Daryl almost attacked him! Carol had to hold him back. Rick and Shane left to talk, and Carol went to calm down Daryl." "Oh..wow. Thank you Beth." I said and she nods and left.

I sat down and wrapped my hand with the bandage. I then heard footsteps and stood up, "Your back!" I said and saw someone I didn't expect. "What the hell are you doing her-" "I'm sorry." Shane said, "I was outa line, I wasn't in the right to say such things. It's just...I'm just worried about the group. Having a new person, is wasting supplies. I wanted you gone... I'm sorry Y/N. I know...its going to take time for you and me to be friends.. I just want to let you know that I-"

"Get away from her." I turned around and saw Daryl. "Daryl, it's okay." I said and looked back at Shane. "It will take time, but thanks for apologizing.." I said and he nods, "I'm sorry." He left. "Yer to kind..." he mumbled, "If we're surviving together...might as well end this." "He doesn't deserve your forgiveness, fuckin' pri-"
I smiled, "Daryl, it's okay." He scoffed but nodded.

"You know..." I said and he looked at me, "I overheard, you were about to attack Shane. We're you standing up for me?" I smiled while looking at him, he looked away. "Yer hearing things." "It is true!" "How's your hand." "It's better but don't changed the subject."

"Sorry I took long, your food got cold and Maggie recooked it and then I saw that you were talking to someone and waited. I then saw Daryl so then I got his plate and it was a struggle carrying three plates." She said as handed out our plates. I smiled, "Thanks Carol. Let's eat I'm starving." We all talked but mostly me and Carol, Daryl would just listen and by times I would glance at him and see a small smile from him. We finished the food and Carol went to do the dishes and Daryl went hunting .

I saw Carl sitting on a trunk, "Hey Carl!" I said as I made my way towards him, "Y/N! I was worried that you went somewhere." "I wouldn't leave you Carl." "Promise?" "Promise. Are you ready to learn!" "Yeah! I got a sheet of paper and a pencil." "Great! What would you like to learn?" "I've been struggling with Math, let's start with that." "Math it is!" I spent 2 hours teaching Carl, we both got to know each other more, turns out Otis had shot him but lucky Carl survived. It was fun hanging out with Carl, he's a good kid.

"Y/N, sorry to bother but your going to go train." Lori came up to us, "I'll be right there, we'll finish up tomorrow alright!" "Alright then! Mom can I go train to!" "Carl your staying here and thanks again, for teaching Carl." "My pleasure." I said as I left to go meet up with Rick.

"Good your here." "Where we going?" "A little road-trip, get in." He said with a smile and I got in and he drives off and the rest of the cars follow.
