Chapter 11.

11. Confusion.

It was now morning and as always I went to teach the kids. It was now over and I then spotted Michonne, "Hey Michonne!" She stopped and turned around. I caught up, "Hey." I smiled, "Hi." "How do you like it so far?" I asked. "It's...nice." "Are you going to stay here?" "I...I don't know.." she said and Andrea came our way. "Hey!" She smiled and we hugged. "What you guys talking about?" She asked and I looked at Michonne, and she slightly shook her head. "We were getting to know eachother!" I said and Michonne nodded.

"That's good to hear! Oh and Michonne, I'm going to be talking to the Governor about us staying." Andrea said and Michonne was going to say something when Andrea left. Michonne scoffed and I smiled, "Stubborn isn't she?" "Tell me about it..." "I think you and me will get along." I said and she softly smiled. Through out the day I showed her around more and got to know eachother but it took time. I told her about the event tomorrow and hope she would come. She said she would think about it and it was now nighttime. I went back to my house and slept.

There was a knock at my door and it was Merle. "Ready?" "Yeah." I smiled and we both head out outside and the governor was going to give his speech. "Hey, first time we gathered there was nine of us, holed up in an apartment with spam and saltine crackers." And people laughed, "Well, look at us now. We builded a place we can call home. So today, we celebrate how far we come. We remember those we lost, we raise a glass! To us!" He said and everyone raised there glass.

I took a shot with Merle, and we hanged out for a bit, i asked him where did Andrea and Michonne stayed and he told me.He then had to go somewhere. I was out talking to people,and I decided to go to where they lived.

I knocked was going to knock on the door but I heard whisper yelling. I knocked on the door and Andrea opened it, I saw a bag that was being packed by Michonne. "Hey." I said and closed the door behind me. "Hey Y/N." "Am I interrupting something?" I awkwardly said, "No your fine." "Are you guys...leaving?" I said a bit sad and Andrea looked upset. "Uh..yeah. I'm sorry Y/N but Michonne believes we should go." Andrea said and I looked at Michonne and she didn't look at me."But it's..safe here.." I mumbled, "I'm sorry. But we have to.." Michonne said as she finished packing. "It's your decision, is it okay if I lead you guys out?" I asked and they both nod.

We head outside, "Hey, hey, hey girls! Where you headed of to in such a hurry!" Merle yelled and Andrea and me stopped but Michonne grabbed both our arms and kept walking. "Hey come on now, Hey!" Merle ran towards us and stopped in the middle of us. "Y'all breaking my heart running away like this." He said and I smiled. "They want to leave Merle." I said, "It's almost curfew, I'd have to arrange an escort. I mean the party still going on." He said and Michonne gave him a look. "Alright wait here a sec." He said and went towards the gate and talked with someone.

Andrea went to follow him, "So your really going?" I asked and she nods. "I'm sorry it's just, I'd miss you even if we aren't friends." I said and she smiled. "I'll miss you too, friend." She said and I smiled. Then Merle said something to Andrea and she came back. "See, always a reason why we can't leave yet." Michonne said. "Now if I was y'all I'd find some shelter before nightfall." Merle said as he opened the gate. Then Andrea and Michonne started to argue about going and leaving.

Michonne then asked Andrea if she's going or not. And Andrea stayed quiet, Michonne turned to me, "It was nice meeting you Y/N." She smiled and I hugged her. "Stay safe. I hope I see you soon." I said and she pat my back. Andrea chased after Michonne but Merle closed the gate. "I'm sorry Andrea." I said and she left passed me. I got hurt and Merle pat my back. "Sorry 'bout that, don't know how you can handle her." "Why did you close the gate." "What' you mean" "Andrea was going after her but you closed it. Why Merle." I said and stared at him.

"I cant." "Merle whats going on." "Sorry pretty girl. Got to go." He said and walked away. "Merle!" I yelled at him and he just kept walking. I went back to my house, when me and Michonne spend time together she told me that she sneaked into the governor's place and that there was something suspicious going on and now it has me all thinking.

I was now outside, sitting down waiting for the brawl. I was forced because of Merle, and I then spotted the governor with Andrea. He was going to fight and I never liked these events. It was so violent, I hated it. The whistle blew and they started to fight, I enjoy seeing Merle get hit but I did want him to be careful. Then the walkers got closer and I got worried. I then saw Andrea and the governor argue. Merle won the fight, they celebrated but I went home. I never liked it.

It was now the next day, i didn't go to teach. I just stayed home. I was outside, I was a bit upset that Andrea would always spend time with the governor. I barely saw her, I didn't know where Merle was. It's been hours,and I saw Merle come out, "Hey, where were you and what the fuck happen to you." I said, "You know, business. I got a favor to ask." He said, "Yeah? "Cover for me. If anyone asks where I'm at. Say I'm hunting." I was confused. "Uh sure. Why?" "I'll explain later. Thanks pretty girl." He said as he kissed my hand and left. I cleaned my hand off.

"Y/N!" I heard my name being called and I turned around and saw Andrea. "Thought you were dead. Barely saw you." I said hiding my bitterness. "Sorry I was with-" "The governor Yeah." "Hey what's up with you?" "Me? We haven't seen eachother for months! I-I wanna spend time with you but your always sucked up to him." I said, "I'm sorry Y/N... I'm sorry." She said and she hugged me. "let's catch up." She said. We spend the whole day together and it was fun, we were outside at night when we heard guns firing. "What the fuck is going on?" I said, "We're about to find out." She said as she went towards the Governor.
