Chapter 5.

5. Secrets & Fights

Rick parked in the middle of a field, followed by the other cars. We all got out and I went towards Andrea, "Hey." "Hey, are you okay about earlier?" She asked and I nodded. 

"Alrigh' your all here because you need to learn how to shoot a gun, to defend yourself! Me, Shane and T-Dog will be teaching you." Rick said while Shane and T-Dog handed us guns. "We placed around bottles, those are your targets. " Shane said while pointing at them. "Just look at what I'm doing." Rick said as he showed us how to grab a gun and shoot it, giving us a tutorial.

"Whenever your ready you can start, The bottles are your targets remember." Rick said and we all nodded. We stood next to each other and started to shoot. "Cmon man don't give me that gangster shit." T-Dog said to Jimmy. I smiled at his comment, he came towards me.

"How are you doing?" He asked, "Im getting the hang of it." I said as I shot the target, "Never would I realize I would see a nurse with a gun." He said and I laughed. "Well we all seen unexpected things." We both smiled, "How you holding up from earlier?" He asked, I still kept practicing, "He apologized, but it still hurts." And I shot the target. "You didn't deserve that, but don't worry. I got your back nursey." He said,I stopped and looked at him.

"Thanks T, truly." I smiled at him and he pat my back, "Doing a great job nurse." He said and left to another person. We practiced for a couple more minutes, Rick told us that was good for today. Shane and Andrea went to practice more while we headed back to camp.

"Hey Glenn!" I said as I made my way towards him, "Uh..H-Hey Y/N...what's up? Well nothing is going on! Everything is great!" He said nervously. I slightly laughed, "Okay, what's going on?" I said,he sat down and I sat next to him. "There's walkers in the barn and Lori is pregnant." Glenn whispered, "What." I said shocked, "I know, I couldn't believe it either. Please keep it between us." "Of course Glenn, you can always tell me anything. Your secret is safe with me." I smiled and he thanked me and went to chop wood.

I made my way towards the house, "Hey Y/N!" Maggie made her way towards me, "Hey Maggie, jeez I felt like we haven't even talked since I got here." "Feelings mutual!" "So how are you, anything new?" I asked her and she stayed quiet for a bit. "Uhm everything is great!" "That's great! You know... I've seen that you and Glenn had gotten close." I teased her, she nudged me with her shoulder. "Has it been obvious?" "Not really, but you would always make contact with each other....Hey I've been meaning to tell you something. About a-"

"Maggie! Would you come with me for a supply run?" Glenn came to ask, "We can talk later?" She said and I nodded. She went towards Glenn and they made there way out.

I made my way back into RV, I went into the bathroom to change my bandage. I unrolled it and saw that the marks were fading but they would leave a scar. I changed the bandage and left the RV. When I heard silent cries behind a tree, i made my way towards it and saw Carol on the ground.

I quickly went towards her, "Carol are you okay!?" I asked, she looked at me and quickly wiped her tears. "I'm okay Y/N.." she mumbled and I held her hand. "Please Carol, tell me what's wrong..." "its just...my daughter Sophia...she was nowhere to be found. There was a herd of walkers heading towards us so we hid....Sophia was being chased by one and...ran towards the woods...We've been trying to look for her..b-but she hasn't been found." Carol said with tears.

"Oh Carol.." I hugged her, "I bet she is a strong girl, we will find her. I promise, you have to think positive." Carol hugged back, "Thank you Y/N." We both pulled away and Carol wiped her tears, she thanked me and went inside an RV. I saw that Maggie and Glenn came back but Maggie didn't look happy. She head towards the house and I followed her, she head inside and I knocked on the door.

"Who is it." Maggie said, "Your favorite person!" "Is it my Y/N?" "One and only." She opened the door and invited me in. She quickly went to hug me, "what's wrong?" I asked as I hugged back.

"I almost died today.." She whispered and my heart stopped, I hugged her tighter. "...Glenn saved me, I was so scared Y/N. I almost died for stupid abortion pills!" She angrily said as she let go. "Abortion pills?" I asked, I didn't think Lori would abort the baby but I can see why.

"Lori is pregnant and she sent Glenn for pills!? Can you believe that, she should go get it herself! It's her fault for having sex!" she continued and sat down on a chair. I sat next to her and held her hand.

"I'm so sorry about what you went through, I'm glad Glenn was there. I know your gonna hate hearing this but Lori is also struggling, the women is pregnant and going through things. I bet she feels horrible about sending you both but please be easy on her. I know she didn't mean harm..." I said as I kept holding her hand and she squeezed back.

"I guess so..Gosh Y/N you're to kind for this world." She softly smiled and I smiled back. We both hugged and Hershell came in. "Just the girl I expected to see, Y/N! And my beautiful girl." Hershel smiled at us, Maggie kissed Hershel in the cheek and excused herself.

Hershel sat next to me, "it's good to see you Hershel." "Good to see you too, so I've heard you were a nurse?" I nodded, "I was wondering if you can teach me something's, I'm just a veterinarian and know something's but you seem to know more." "Of course I'll teach you Hershel, what would you like to learn about?" "Well, I would like to know about..."

Throughout the evening, I taught Hershel about certain pills that are good for certain scenarios, which medication are good for different types of people and throughout the time, i got to learn more about him, his wife and his stepson. We both bonded together and he made me feel like I was apart of his family, he treated me like a daughter.

Days has passed and I've gotten closer to everyone from the group, Me and Shane were making some progress. I kept teaching Carl, me and Daryl had gotten close. We've all had been keeping an eye out on the barn. I started to go on hunts, looking for Sophia and food, there's been successful times and there's empty handed times.  Things have been going good so far, right?
