33. Knots Untie.

"Morning.." Daryl whispered as he hugged me tighter, "Couple more minutes.." I mumble. "I gotta go with Rick, sunshine." he said as he got up. I slowly opened my eyes and sat up, "Come back in one piece." I said as I kissed him. "Yes ma'am." he said as he left the room, "I love you!" I yelled, "Love you too!" he yelled from downstairs which cause me to smile. I heard someone knock from downstairs, I got up and went down. I saw Michonne, "No Michonne." I said as I opened the door, "Y/N please!" she begged. "Your going to finish everybody's toothpaste. You smell great already." "Please." she said as she smiled at me, I looked at her but gave in. "Just a little! Only a little because I'm going to use it. Come in." I let her in, she quickly went to the bathroom and I closed the door. I smiled and went into the room to change and then went to the bathroom, "Here you go." she said as she brushed her teeth, handing me the toothpaste. "Jeez thanks." I sarcastically said and we brushed our teeth. "Your my best friend." she said as she lay her head on my shoulder. "Yeah yeah, I love you too." I said as I pat her head and walked her out.

I was teaching the people how to defend themselves when Carl came up to me with Judith. "Hey Y/N!" "Hey Carl, Hi Judith." I said as I rubbed Carls hair and kissed Judith's cheek. "I was wondering if you can watch over Judith for a while?" he asked, "Of course Carl, give me a sec." I said as I turned to the rest, "Alright guys, practice is over for today we can continue tomorrow." I said, they all nodded and left. "Alright, so where are you going?" I asked as I carried Judith. "The forest.." Carl whispered, "Carl." "I know, ill be okay. I promise, I'm going with Enid." "Are you guys going on a date?" I teased and he nudged me, "Joking but be careful, okay Carl?" "Of course Y/N, the keys to the house are in Judith bag." He said as he handed it to me and I nod. "Stay safe!" I yelled as he walked away, "Will do!." he yelled back.

"Guess it's you and me Judith. We'll have a lot of fun." I said and she smiled, I took her back home and played with her on the porch when I saw Eugene. "Hey cowboy." I said and he came towards me, "Good Afternoon, ladies," He said as he shakes Judiths hand which cause me to smile. "How are you doing?" I asked, "Just the usual, me and Rosita are teaching each other." "That's good, proud of how much you've change." I said and he smiled, "You caused me to change, I should be giving you my gratitude." "You not dying is enough." I said and he chuckled, "Nice talking to you ladies but I have to go to training." he said, "Bye Eugene, good luck." I said and he waved as he left.

It was now getting darker and Carl came to pick up Judith, "Thank you Y/N, your the best." "Your welcome Carl, I'm always here for you." "The same goes for you." he said and waved them goodbye. I decided to walk for a while and saw Daryl, "Your back." I said as I walked over to him, "In one piece too." he said as he hugged me. "I got you something." he said as went to grab something from his pocket, I stood there confused. He then pulled out my favorite bag of chips, "I remember that you said you like these kinds of chips..so I got it for you." he shyly said and I jumped into his arms, "Your the best boyfriend." I smiled and he smiled back. "Oh, we captured a guy." "Jeez what did he do." "Was a pain in the ass. I have to look over him, someone will cover for me but I'll be back till later. Yer can sleep when your tired." he said, "Okay, and thank you for the chips." I said and kissed his cheek, he got embarrassed and nod. I went back into the house and went to sleep.

I slowly opened my eyes, "Morning." Daryl says as he kissed me. I kissed back and smiled, "Morning." "We have a meeting." "Is it about the guy?" "Yeah, Rick asked for us." he says and I nod. I got up and started to change, "You hungry?" he asks, "Im good, I still have the chips." I said and he smiled. We made our way to Rick's house, "I'd say good morning but I don't think its a good, morning." I said and Michonne smiled. "Good morning." she says, "Good morning." I smiled and we sat down in a table. "Im afraid we haven't met, my name is Jesus." the guy says as he had his hand out, "Im Y/-" "She's not interested." Daryl says. "So how'd you get out?" Rick asks, "One guard can't cover two exits or third floor windows. Knots untie and locks get picked. Entropy comes from order, right?" Jesus says, "Right." Daryl says. "I checked out your arsenal. I haven't seen anything like that in a long time. Your well-equipped but your provisions are low. Very low for the amount of people you have. 54?" "More than that." Maggie says. "Well, I appreciate the cookie. My compliments to the chef." "Yeah,she aint here." Daryl says and Jesus turns to him, "Look, we got off to a bad start. But were on the same side--the living side. You and Rick had every reason to leave me out there. But you didn't. Im from a place that's a lot like this one. Part of my job is searching out other settlements to trade with. I took your truck because my community needs things, and both of you looked like trouble.I was wrong, your good people and this is a good place. I think our communities may be in a position to help each other."
