7. Stranger? & Suicide

I took a deep breath and knocked on the door, Maggie peaked and was relieved that she saw me. She opened the door and I hugged her, we both hugged and she invited me in. I saw Hershel sitting down with Beth and softly smiled at me. I went towards them and hugged them both and Beth held on to me longer. "Thank you..for not shooting.." Hershel said and I nod. "Of course Hershel, I'm sorry..about everything." I said as I rubbed Beth's back as she hugged me. "Thanks Y/N..." Beth whispered and let go. I said my goodbyes and met Maggie out the door. I grabbed her hand, "Im here if anything.." I said and she nods and smiled as she closed the door.

I went towards Carl, who looked sad. "Hey..." I said as I grabbed his shoulder. "Hey.." "I'm sorry Carl.." "Thank you Y/N..." I hugged him and he hugged me back. "There going to do a funeral, for Sophia and the others." He softly said and let go, "Well let's go.." I said and we both went to where the others were. Carl went with his family and I stayed with Carol. When the funeral was over Carol went somewhere else and I couldn't catch up.

I sighed and went to help Andrea and T-Dog to burn the walkers and carrying them to the truck.
"Few more trips." Rick said, "We got lucky, if the barn had anymore, we could've been overrun." Andrea said as we put the bodies in. "Good thing Shane did what he did." T-Dog said, I furrowed my brows a bit.

"You can't tell me this was right." Dale said, "Yeah..this was wrong.." I said. "It was wrong, it'll cost us with Hershel." Rick said, "Hes grieving, he'll come around, see we had no choice, look I shot too, this isn't all Shane." Andrea said, "Andrea.." I softly said disappointed.

"Look I got no qualms about it, Walkers in my backyard, mmm-mmm.."T-Dog said, "I'm not saying that we shouldn't have taken care of the problem. But creating a panic!" Dale said and I touched his shoulder so he could calm down. "There's no point of arguing about it." Lori said and then Andrea and T-Dog went in the car, Lori left and pat Dale in the back.

I stayed to talk to Dale, "I'm agree with you Dale, it wasn't right." I softly said and he softly pat my back, "Thank you Y/N." Dale asked,I nod and we both parted ways.

I started walking around the camp trying to look for Carol. I got my gun and head in the forest hopping I would find her. I looked around for a bit and couldn't find her, I started to worry so I head towards the house.

"Y/N Thank god!" Andrea said and I was confused, she grabbed my hand and dragged me in the house into a room. Beth was laying there and I quickly went to her. "What happen?" "She has a fever, she hasn't moved." Andrea said and I made sat next to her. "She's in a state of shock.." I said and got up to grab fresh towels and put cold water and placed them on her body.

"She'll cool down, I'm going to check if Hershel has anything if that's okay?" I asked, and they nod, "I'll take care of her, I promise." I said and for the time being. I would constantly check on Beth and talk to her. I couldn't give her anything since she wasn't reacting, I just prayed for Hershel to be back. Maggie was in the room with Andrea talking, I smiled and let them be. Carol was safe and sound, turns out she was with Shane.

We heard a car pulling up and saw that is was Hershel, Glenn and Rick. I went outside with the rest and greeted them. I hugged Hershel, "I'm happy your back." I said and he hugged back. "I'm happy too." We both smiled and I went to hug Glenn and Rick.

"Who the hell is that?" T said pointing at a guy in the car, "That's Randall." Glenn said. We all went closer to the car to see him and Daryl grabbed me not wanting me to get to close.

"We couldn't just leave him behind. He would of bled out." Rick said. We all sat around the table inside the house. I stood next to Carol, "What do we with him?" Andrea asked, Hershel then went to talk about how he can help patch up the guy but he won't be able to be on his way. And Rick said that once he'll be fixed, he'll be on his way.Then Shane started to argue. Daryl then came in, Hershel then yelled at Shane saying that he should keep his mouth shut and I smiled.

Everyone started to leave the house, Carol got up and made eye contact with Daryl and he ignored her and left almost slamming the door on Carol. I got annoyed but stayed with Carol. Before I left I asked Maggie if she can give me updates about Beth and she agreed.

Days went by, Daryl was still being stubborn and Maggie told me that Beth had woken up. I quickly went to the house and saw Beth sat up and eating. "Hey." She softly smiled at me, i went towards her and hugged her. "I'm glad your okay!" I happily said and she hugged me back. "Thank you for taking care of me, Maggie told me how you wouldn't leave me side, times when you would sleep next to me. Thank you Y/N." She let go and I smiled. "Of course Beth, I'll always be by your side. I'm glad your up." I touched her forehead and saw that the fever went down. "..your much more better. I'll let you enjoy your breakfast. I'm glad your awake." We said goodbye and for the time being I went to teach Carl.

Lori quickly went towards me ,"Y/N.. It's Beth!" She said and pulled me aside. "What's wrong Lori?" "Beth has given up.." she whispered, my eyes widen. "You mean..?" "Yes, she grabbed a knife and hid it but I got it back. I was talking to Andrea and we got into this argument." "Oh my..." I said and felt horrible She grabbed my hand and said it'll be okay, that I should check up on Beth and I did.

I knocked on her door and she opened it, "Maggie and Lori had talked to me already..." she said. I sat next to her, "Why?" I asked, "Have you seen what's been going on...the world is gone..might as well be gone too." She said looking down. I grabbed her hand, "I know..." she looked at me confused, "Have..you felt the same?"She softly asked, I slightly chuckled. "Yeah...when I was younger, can I show you?" I asked and she nods. I lift up my shirt revealing a scar on my stomach.

I then put it down, "How..? Why?" She asked, "Was in a bad point of my life, many downs and I was tired of it. People have told me not to do it, they didn't know what was really going on. Usually people would hang themselves but I don't know why I decided to stab myself in the stomach. Stupid isn't it?" I slightly laughed and she softly smiled.

"It hurt like hell. I should of been happy but I was terrified.. I regret it. I didnt pull it out because I would of died. I then yelled for help and good thing I was heard. My parents were upset but I got a cool scar huh." I smiled and she also smiled.

"Your like family Beth, I know...I know everything sucks. We aren't that close but you do mean to me. This is going to sound so cruel but I promise to you,It will have meaning...whatever you choose, you'll find your answer. I know I don't have the right to say but please don't.." I said as I hugged her and she hugged back. I left and took a deep breath, praying she wouldn't.

For the time being I stayed in the house when I heard Maggie pounding in the door and Lori yelling at Beth to open the door. I quickly ran towards them and Lori opened the door. Beth was sobbing while grabbing her wrist. "I'm sorry..." she said as Maggie hugged her and led her to the room.

"I'll stitch her up." I said as I grabbed Hershel medical supplies. I grabbed a roll of bandages, alcohol and a surgical thread. I went to Beth and cleaned her tears. "I didn't want to die..." she whispered. "I know..I'm glad your here.." I said as I cleaned her cuts, "This is gonna sting." I said and I put a bit of alcohol on a small cleaning pad and blew on her wound as I cleaned it so it wouldn't hurt as much.

She would winced in pain and I would apologize. She cut a bit deep so it needed stitches, It took time but I did it and bandage her up. "I'm sorry.." she whispered and I hugged her. "Don't be sorry Beth it's okay.." she hugged back. Maggie came and hugged Beth as she thanked me. I smiled and put the medical supplies away and threw the ones I used.

I took a deep breath and made my out of the house feeling overwhelmed. I went to the RV and met with Carol and told her what happen and she hugged me. "I'm glad Beth choose to stay, poor girl. Are you okay?" She asked and I hugged her back. "Yeah better now." We talked and it was getting late so we both went to sleep.
