28. Party.

It was now morning and everyone settled into their own house, Me and Daryl both went back into our original house. "Ima head out, okay?" he said, "Where you going?" I asked and he kissed me. "Ill be back." he said as he left, I sighed and settled in our house. After I was done, I went outside and met up with Carol. "Don't you look fine." I said as I walked towards her, "I should be saying that to you." she said with a smile, we hugged and walked together. "Are you going to the party?" she asked, "Party? Hell yeah, Its been ages. Don't think Daryl would wanna go though." I said with a sigh. "Just look sexy and he'll definitely go." she winked at me and I nudged her. "If only people saw the real you." "Got to be the nice sweet old lady." she said and we laughed. "I have to meet Olivia, I'll see you later hun." she said as she kissed my forehead and left. I kept walking and saw Aiden, shit. I quickly turned around and walked the opposite way, "Y/N! please wait up!" I heard Aiden yell and I quickly walked fast and bumped into Rosita. "Woah what's going on?" she said,I quickly grabbed her hand and dragged her behind a house.

"Ahora que paso? (What happened now?)" she said as she crossed her arms, "Aiden won't leave me alone. So I'm avoiding him as much as possible." I said, "I mean I wouldn't blame him, your hot as hell." she said with a smirk and I nudge her. "Have you seen yourself, also you going to the party?'' "Yeah, ima go with Abraham. Are you?" "Eh, I don't know. Daryl wouldn't want to go." "Who cares, enjoy yourself mama. I have some dresses that they gave me, let's go so you can pick which one you want." she said with a smile and grabbed my arm. We walked back to her place and she lay down all the different options on her bed. "Woah, these are nice." I said as I observed all of them. "They sure are. Go on, pick one." she said as she sat on the corner of her bed watching me. I looked at all of them and this one dress caught my eye, it was a tight plain black strapless dress. "You have to wear that one." Rosita said as she grabbed it and handed it to me. "Okay, ima change in your bathroom." I said as I grabbed it and head to the bathroom. I tried it on and came out the bathroom. Rosita looked at me, "I wish I was your girlfriend. You look stunning!" she said as she dragged me into the mirror and I saw myself.

The dress hugged my body nicely, I felt amazing. "Wow.." I said as I looked at myself in the mirror. "Im back! Woah." Abraham said as he entered the room, "She looks great doesn't she?" Rosita said as she walked to him. "You look great Y/N." he said with a smile and I smiled back. "Geez you guys look like parents. But it's settled then, I'll take this one." I said with a smile. "Perfect! I have some jewelry if you want, there's also makeup. Take the ones you need!" she said and I thanked her. I dressed back into my normal clothes and grabbed the things I needed and left their place. I went back into my house and placed everything in the bedroom. I also picked out an outfit for Daryl so that we match, I heard the door from downstairs open and footsteps coming up. I turned around and saw that it was Daryl, "Welcome back." I said with a smile as I walked towards him and gave him a peck. "What's this?" he said as he walked towards the bed and saw the clothes. "Oh yeah! I was wondering, if you would go to the party. With me." I said shyly. "I picked out an outfit for you,its your style but different. We also match" I said.

He looked at his outfit and softly smiled. "Not bad." he said and I smiled, we changed into our outfits and I put a bit of makeup and some accessories Rosita gave me. I looked at myself in the mirror and Daryl came behind me. "You look good." he mumbled as he place a kiss on my neck. I turned around and observed him, "And you look hot." I said and he looked aways shyly, "Lets go." I said as we held hand and walked outside, which was now night. We made our way to Deanne house and saw that there was people. I was going to go in when I saw Daryl not moving, "Hey what's wrong?" I asked as I walked to him, "I..I don't think I should go in." he said, "What? Why?" "I don't fit in." "Daryl, of course you do. This is all new but you'll feel welcome." I said as I grabbed his cheek and he still didn't look ready. "You don't have to go if you don't want to Daryl." I said with a small smile, "Are you sure?" he asked, "Im sure. We can go home if you want." "No. You can stay, I know you wanted to come here. Enjoy yourself, ill see you later." he said as he kissed my forehead and left. I felt a bit disappointed but went inside.

Everyone from the community was there, eating, talking, dancing. It felt unreal, "Don't you look amazing." I turned around and saw Maggie and Glenn. "Are you kidding me? You look great! The both of you." I said as I hugged them both. "Where's Daryl?" Glenn asked, "Oh, he's out somewhere. He wasn't ready.." I softly said and they nod. "Im sure he'll come around. You should enjoy yourself." Maggie said as she pat my back and I smiled. "I will." I said and they went to talk to other people. I went to the kitchen and grabbed a beer, I then spotted Michonne. "Hey Ms. Officer." I said as I went towards her, she turned around and smiled.

"Was wondering if you were gonna show up." She said, "A party seemed nice so why not. How do you like it so far?" "It seems unreal. Like a dream." "Yeah..felt the same too. For once,..I feel safe here." I said and she looked at me, "Yeah..." We talked for a bit and drank together. "It's getting late. I think ima go home." I said and she nods, we said our goodbyes and I left the house. I was walking back when I felt someone behind me, i quickly turned around and punched the person behind me. "Ack!" I then saw that it was Aiden. "Good punch.." he mumbled.

"Why are you following me." I said, "Im sorry for the way I acted. I didnt mean to put Tara in danger or be angry at Glenn. Im sorry for screaming at you." He said and I just looked at him. "Glad you said sorry...I forgive you.." I said as I hesitated on the last part. "Thank you Y/N. You look great by the way." "Thank you." I said with a small smile and he looked at me and then at my lips. He started to get closer and I backed away. "Woah there." I said as I stopped him. "I thought..we had a moment." He mumbled. "What moment? You apologize and then go to kiss me? I have a boyfriend." I said, "That Daryl guy? The one that was choking Nicholas?!" "Yes. "That Daryl Guy" is my boyfriend." I said annoyed, "There's nothing between us. You don't know me and I don't know you. We just work together. I'll see you tomorrow for our run. Goodnight Aiden." I said as I walked away.

I arrived home and ran upstairs. I lay in the bed tiredly, I washed my face and brushed my teeth. I changed into something comfortable and went to sleep. I then woke up because I heard a noise downstairs, I quickly got up and Daryl came in the room. "Did I wake you up?" He said as he took of his vest. "No it's fine." I mumbled, "How'd the party go." He asked as he started to change. "It was nice.." I said. I didnt want to tell him about Aiden because I know that it'll cause a huge fight. He got in bed and hugged me, "Glad you had fun." "Where did you go?" "I had dinner with Aaron and Eric. There's nice people.." "That's nice...Goodnight Daryl." "Goodnight.." he said as he got closer. "I love you." I said and he kissed my head and we went to sleep.
