Chase POV:
"Please!" I beg.
"No," my parents say again.
"Please! Why not?!" I exclaim. "I really want to meet his family. I think it's important that they meet me at their house."
"And why's that?" Dad asks.
"Because we live in a flippin' palace!" I exclaim. "I could've just snuck out, but I didn't. I came to you, doesn't that say something?"
My mom sighs, "it does sweetie, but we have to keep you safe, especially after we almost lost you." She hugs me tightly.
I sigh, "I know, but I need to do this..."
"No, you-" my dad stars but my mom interrupts. "Yes, you may go."
I spin free of her arms, "really?! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I hug her and kiss her cheek. "I'm gonna go call him. Love you!"
"Don't run! You'll tare you're stitches!" Mom yells.
I don't listen, I run straight to my room, "can I have some tea, please?" I as my maid.
"Yes, miss." Jenny curtsies and walks out.
"Will you bring me a phone?" I ask my other maid, Holly.
She grins, "yes, right away, miss."
Holly comes back and hands me the phone, I dial his number.
"Hello?" Alec answers.
"Hey," I say as Holly takes my hair out. "It's me."
I can practically hear him smiling, "hey, what's up?"
"I want to meet your family." I say.
He pauses for a moment, "really? You want me to bring them there?"
"No, I want to meet them at your house." I say taking a sip of my tea.
"How is..." Alec trails off.
"I was thinking that I could go at night and meet them for dinner and then crash on your couch." I say shrugging.
He laughs, "I can take the couch, you can take my bed, but I'll talk to my mom and I'll call you back? What is this number anyways?"
I giggle and tell him the number, "I'll talk to you soon. I love you."
"I love you, too." He says.
"Forever?" I whisper.
"And always," he says.
I giggle and hang up the phone, my maids are eyeing me in the mirror. "What?" I ask.
"Nothing," Jenny giggles.
I raise my eyebrows, "no, no, out with it."
"We've just never seen you like this, miss." Holly says.
"Plus you blush like a tomato when you talk about or to him," Jenny says laughing.
"I do not!" I exclaim.
"You do, miss," Holly says brushing my hair.
"What about you two?" I ask. "You're both dating a guard or two."
"I date," Holly says. "Jenny hooks up."
"Don't call it that! I call it my... interest of the month." Jenny says giggling.
I blush, "really?"
She freezes and doesn't answer.
"I'm just wondering is all. I'm sorry, Jenny I didn't mean to offend you." I sigh, "I just don't know any other relationship besides mine and my parents." I flop onto my bed.
Jenny sighs and sits next to me, "it's alright, miss. I can tell you, if you want me to..."
I shrug, "I don't want to force you."
Holly scoffs, "please, Jenny loves talking about it."
I laugh, "no, no. It's fine. Who's your mystery boy- God I sounded like Charlie. But who is he?"
Holly blushes and sits down on the bed, "well... You know the cooks new assistant?"
I shake my head, "I haven't met him yet, is he cute?"
Jenny sighs, "blonde hair, honey eyes... complete dream boat. They aren't dating though."
Holly blushes, "we flirt..."
Jenny and I giggle, "I could order some chocolate covered strawberries and have him bring them up..."
Her eyes widen, "no, please don't..."
My phone goes off, I run to answer it. "Hello?"
"Hey, baby." Alec says. "My mom said that it's fine if you come here and stay in my room. But she made it very, very clear that we weren't allowed together in my room..."
I laugh, "great. I'll meet you at the field at 6:00 tomorrow?"
"Sounds great. I've gotta go, love you."
"Love you too." I say then I hang up the phone.
I turn around and grin at my maids. "I'm meeting his family!" I exclaim.
They grin, "we'll pick out some outfits."
*the next day*
I put my second earring in and turn around, "how do I look?" I ask my sister. *outfit pictured above*
She smiles, "really pretty sissy. Are you nervous?"
I shrug, "sort of. But I'm more nervous about how they are going to treat me. Can you pin my hair up?"
"What do you mean?" She asks taking the bobby pin.
"I'm a princess, Charlie." I say, "I just don't want to be treated like one."
She puts some bobby pins in her mouth and takes some of my hair and twists it, she pins it back. "I'm sure Alec is talking to them."
She takes some of my hair and pushes it over my shoulders so my curls rest on my chest. "There, now go or you'll be late."
I hug her and walk out of my room. I pass my parents on the way out, "you look beautiful, darling." Dad says.
I hug him, "thank you. I'll be home sometime tomorrow morning."
"You have everything you need?" Mom asks.
"Yes, mom. I'm fine, I promise. I have to go."
She kisses the top of my head, "I love you."
"Bye. I love you too." I say. I walk out to the field, Alec is waiting for me.
I run over to him and wrap my arms around his neck. "Hi." I say.
"Hey," he kisses my lips lightly. "So, I didn't tell anyone but my family and Jack and Erin that you were coming, but people have been asking about you, and out relationship."
I nod, "I figured as much... but that's what you kinda go through when you date me, I guess..."
He takes my hand and leads me away from the castle.
There aren't many people as we walk but the ones that are out do a double take when they see me. But they just shrug and keep walking.
"My house is right here," he says.
"I love it already." I say
We walk up to the house, he opens the door. "We're home!"
A friendly looking women wearing an apron walks into the entry way. "Hi, you must be Chase. I'm Molly." She wraps me into a bone crushing hug.
"Mom, don't break her." Alec says.
She laughs, "oh, hush."
"It's nice to meet you," I say.
Alec's little brother and sister come into the kitchen, "Bunny, do you remember meeting Chase."
The 12 year old shrugs, "not really no... but I guess its nice to see you again."
"May!" Molly exclaims.
Alec laughs, "and this is Teddy." He says.
"Hi, Teddy." I say.
He hides behind his mother, "he's really shy, sorry."
"That's alright."
"Alec why don't you show her around, dinner should be ready in a couple of minutes. May, Teddy will you set the table?"
Alec shows me around the house, I stop when I see a picture of him and a man, who must be his father. "I was 4 in that picture, my mom had just had May..."
"He was handsome," I note. "You look like him."
He smiles, "as I got older it got harder on my mom because I started to look so much like him."
"You have your mother's eyes." I say looking at more pictures."
He nods, "so do you."
"Alec, Chase! Dinner!" Molly yells.
We walk down the stairs and into the dinning room, Alec pulls my chair out for me, "such a gentleman." I tease.
"Just sit," he laughs.
"I hope you like spaghetti," Molly says.
I nod, "I love it. My grandma makes the best spaghetti you'll ever taste."
"Your grandma's spaghetti is about to become second," Alec says.
I laugh and place my napkin in my lap, I twirl the noodles around my fork and place them in my mouth.
After my first bite, May asks, "how is it?"
"A close second to my grandma's," I say.
Alec laughs, "you lie."
"I do not." I say poking his stomach playfully.
"So, Chase how is your leg and your head?" Molly asks.
"Pretty good," I say taking a sip of water. "I get occasional headaches and I limp a bit and my parents are really irritating about it but good other then that."
She laughs, "their just watching out for you, is all."
I nod, "I think their scared of losing me or my sister and brother. I'm pretty sure their scared of me and my sister running a country..."
"Please, I'm scared about this one running a country when he can hardly remember to close the lid," May says.
Alec blushes, "Shut up."
"Alexander," his mom scolds.
"Sorry, bunny." Alec says. "So, Tedster, you have fun with Matt and Mike?"
He nods but doesn't say anything.
"What did you do?" Alec asks.
He shrugs, "stuff."
"Theodore," Molly hisses then leans over and whispers something.
"Excuse me, but where is the bathroom?" I ask.
"I'll show you," Ales says standing.
We walk down the hall, I stop. "Is me being here making Teddy uncomfortable? I can leave if it is..."
"No, no. He's okay. Just give him a few minutes, he'll warm up to you."
"I just want your family to like me..."
"And they will... they just need to get to know you. Just be yourself."
I nod, "okay. So where's the bathroom?"
He laughs and shows it to me.
*after dinner*
I walk out of the bathroom after changing into my pajamas. I walk into the living room I see Teddy doing a puzzle on the ground.
I sit across from him, "can I help?"
He shrugs. I take a puzzle piece and try to find where it goes.
"You look a lot like Alec, you know that?" I ask.
He nods, "I look like my daddy."
"Don't tell Alec but..." I glance around jokingly, "I think you and your daddy are even more handsome than him."
He giggles, "I won't tell."
"Won't tell what?" Alec asks walking into the room.
Teddy and I giggle, "nothing. We can't tell you." I say.
"Oh, really?" Alec asks. "Maybe I can't tickle it out of you."
Teddy jumps up and tries to run, Alec grabs onto him and starts to tickle him.
"Tell me or I don't stop!" He warns his little brother."
"Ch-ase thinks I'm be-tter looking than y-ou."
Alec stops, "very good, Teddy Bear."
"Don't you even think about tickling me." I say.
He laughs, and sits behind me, "so, how far are we in the puzzle?"
*few hours later*
"Alexander, your butt will not leave this couch tonight and Chase you will stay in the bed." Molly says.
"I promise," I say.
"Well I'm going to bed," she says. "You two can watch a movie but don't wake your sister and brother." She kisses Alec's head.
"Night mom. Love you."
"Love you too, sweetie. Good night Chase."
"Night."
Alec sits on the couch and pulls me with him. I curl up next to him, I rest my head on his chest. "I love your family."
"You love them now, but we Olivers are not morning people."
