Chapter 25

Erin POV:
I wake up to Jack's arms around me, I smile and kiss his cheek. I look up to see a little girl about 3 years old staring at me. I scream making the baby cry.
"What?" the boys shoot awake. The baby runs up the stairs crying.
"Holy crap she scared the crap out of me!" I say.
"Well you scared us!" Jack says, "who was that?"
"I don't know, but I'm going upstairs. I need to find out," I say getting up, I walk upstairs to see my mom calming the baby, "mom, who's baby is that?"
"Ours," she says then ma comes in holding a baby boy on her hip, who looks like the little girl.
"We adopted them last night," ma says.
Josh walks in, "hey guys, I'm going to-who is that?" he stops dead in his tracks.
"Why don't you guys sit down?" ma says leading us to the family room Josh and I sit down on the couch and our mom's pulls chairs over, "This is Katy and her twin brother Sam."
"When did you decide to adopt them?" I ask, taking the little girl.
"About a year," mom says as ma gives the little boy to Josh, who looks like he has no idea what to do.
"A year?" I exclaim, making the baby cry again, I press her face to my shoulder so she will feel safe, how did I know to do that? No idea, "why didn't you talk to us about it?"
"We decided that this was a decision that your ma and I had to make," mom says.
"Well, I'm really happy about this! I've always wanted a little sister," I say. My mom's smile, "can I take them upstairs to my room?"
"Sure, they are really attached to each other, so don't separate them. I take Sam's hand and I carry Katy up the stairs. Unless you want your ear drums to bleed," ma says, "I'll tell the boys to leave."
I sit down on my bed, I notice that Sam and Katy hold hands, "hi, my name is Erin," I sooth my siblings, "sweetie how old are you?" I ask Katy.
"Free," she says trying to say three.
"Wow that's big," I say, "Kat," I say, the baby smiles liking the nick name, "Sammy?" I say to the little boy, who also smiles. I get up from my bed and look through my closet, I see Kat toddle over to me, "Hey Kitty Kat," I say.
"What you lokin' for?" she says sitting next to me.
"My old toys for you two." I tell her, I look at my bed and Sammy is still sitting there, "Sammy come here," I say patting the spot next to me. I pull out some of my and Josh's old toys. The babies smile and start to play together.
"Hey E," Josh says standing the door way.
"Hey, come in." I say.
"I'm so bad with babies, I don't know what to do," he says not moving from the spot.
"It's not hard, just... play," I laugh, and I grab Kat and start to tickle her. Kat giggles. I nod to Sam so Josh will tickle him also. Josh smiles and grabs his little brother and tickles him. Pretty soon we are all laughing, at what? I'm not sure.
"Quinn, look at them," my mom says, in the door way.
"We made the right choice," my ma says, kissing my mom.
"Can I take them on a walk?" I ask.
"Sure, just watch them," mom says.
"I'm gonna have Alec and Jack come with too," I say. "Come on Kitty Kat, come on Sammy." I take their hands and we head outside.
Alec POV:
"Hi, is Alec here?" I hear Erin say.
"Yes. Alec, Erin is here. Who is this?" I walk down the stairs to see my mom holding a toddler.
"This is my sister Kate and my brother Sam, my mom and ma just adopted them," I see Erin beaming.
"That's great," I say.
"We are going on a walk wanna come with? I'm stopping by Jack's also," she says.
"Sure, I'll see you later mom. Bye Bunny bye Teddy Bear," I say over my shoulder grabbing my camera on the way out, "why didn't you tell us?" I ask Erin who is holding onto her siblings hands.
"I just found out today. Katy, Sam this is my best friend Alec," Erin says to the kids who are on either side of her.
"Hey guys," I say. Erin keeps walking I fall behind he and take a picture of them, "E look at this picture!" I run to catch up to her.
"Cute!" she says looking at the picture of her in the middle of the little ones holding their hands. "Hey babe," Erin says kissing her boyfriend.
"Who they?" Jack asks looking to Kate and Sam.
"My siblings, Katy and Sam. Kitty Kat, Sammy, this is my boyfriend Jack. Sammy can you say hi?"
Sam stays silent, "Sammy doesn't like to talk very much. But I do, I can talk all day," Katy says.
America POV:
"Maxon, how are we going to tell the country about the baby?" I ask my husband as we lay in bed that night.
"We could have the girls tell them," he suggests, "we were planning on having them do it if we had a baby when they were little, so why not now?"
"I like it. Should we not be there, we could have the girls say that we are in a meeting or something?" I ask him as he places a hand on my stomach.
"Sure. America what should we name him?" he asks pressing a light kiss to my stomach.
"I'm not really sure, but I was thinking that it should start with a 'C'."
"I like that," he says, "What about Cory?"
"I love it, we can call him Cor for short?" I say placing a hand on my stomach.
He covers my hand with his, "I love you," he says, "and I love you," he says to Cory.
