Chapter 27

Charlie POV:
I wander around the castle and find the music room, I walk over to the piano and run my fingers on the top of the keys so they make no noise. I sit down and begin to play a piece I memorized a while ago. I close my eyes so I can feel the music run through me. Once I finish the piece I remember another song that I learned to play, it's called:
Love Story by Taylor Swift.
We were both young when I first saw you.
I close my eyes and the flashback starts:
I'm standing there on a balcony in summer air.

See the lights, see the party, the ball gowns.
See you make your way through the crowd
And say, "Hello, "

That you were Romeo, you were throwing pebbles,
And my daddy said, "Stay away from Juliet"
And I was crying on the staircase
Begging you, "Please don't go"

So I sneak out to the garden to see you.
We keep quiet 'cause we're dead if they knew

"That was amazing!" I jump at the sound of Xander's voice.
"You scared me!" He laughs and kisses me. "Can you play me something"
"I can't play to save my life!" he laughs.
"I'll teach you," I tell him, patting the piano bench.
Chase POV:
I wait for my friends at the field, I sit on the blanket and drag my finger through the dirt. I draw swirls and circles, getting lost in the movement.
Strong arms wrap around me, "hey."
I jump and squeal, "Alec! You scared me!"
He laughs, "that was the funniest sound I've ever heard."
I bump my back against his chest, "shut up."
He places his head in the crook of my neck, "I love you, you know that?"
I giggle, "I do. And I love you too."
