Chapter 14

Alec POV:
I wake up and get ready to see Chase, I eat breakfast as fast as I can.
"Bye mom I'm going to play baseball with Jack and Erin!"
"Bye sweetie!" she yells.
I walk to Erin's house, "Hey E!" I say.
"Hey A!" she smiles. We head to Jacks house she breaks into a run when she sees him she jumps into his arms and they kiss.
"Hey J!" I shout at him he waves a hello without breaking the kiss with Erin, "All right lets go love birds! I want to see my girlfriend too!"
We head to the field when Erin jumps onto Jack's back, we get to the field and before I know it I'm tackled to the ground by Chase, "You know, usually you catch me," she smirks.
"Yeah well... usually you yell my name" I tell her, "but I don't really mind this position," I say then I press my lips to hers.
"Oh really? Well let's go! I want to work on hitting," she says. She grabs a bat and goes to home plate and gets ready for my pitch. I throw the ball and she hits it right at me I catch it.
"Nice!" I yell.
She keeps hitting until she says, "I want to pitch to you!" I go over and hand her the ball and she hands me the bat. She pitches it in I hit it, the ball flies right into her eye.
"Chase!" I yell dropping the bat and running over to her, "Chase are you okay?"
"Yea I'm fine," That's my girl, "I'll just have a shiner for a couple of days. I just don't know what I'm going to tell my parents..."
"You could say you walked into a door..." I tell her.
"No, I'll say I got elbowed in the eye by one of the guards on accident," she says. We continue to play until lunch, "Erin, Jack do your families know about you two?"
"No, I like have a boyfriend and I don't want him dead in a ditch," Erin says. We all laugh except for Chase, "my brother is.... whats the word? Oh yea.... Protective."
"Well I've been thinking that we should tell them soon..." Jack says.
"Maybe...." Erin responds.
"Alec does your mom know that you have a girlfriend?" Jack asks changing the subject.
"No, because if I tell her then she is going to want to meet you and it's kinda hard for that to happen...." I say.
"Oh my god! I have to tell you a really funny story," Chase yells, "So my aunt and uncle came into my room and ask my sister and I to watch the twins I asked her why and she blushes bright red even brighter then my hair and she said 'n-no-n-no reason' then I tell her 'Yeah sure Auntie May, have fun!' that made her blush even brighter! It was so funny! Charlie and I sat and laughed for a couple of minutes," we are all laughing, "then the next morning I walked down to breakfast, they looked so tired it was funny, then I asked them 'have a long night did we?' and my aunt started to choke on her coffee and my uncle sprayed his all over the table," by the time she finishes we are laughing so hard that it hurts.
"Your family seems great," I tell her kissing her temple.
"They are. Also last night my mom and dad told us some stories about his selection with my mom. There was one story where my mom kneed him in the groin, she claims it was in the thigh but he said it was in the groin and I quote, 'No man takes that long to recover from a knee to the thigh.' The other story was about how my dad got her to go on a date with her. My father asked her if she liked the food and she said yes and if her sister were to try the strawberry tarts she would cry so they made a bet if May cried my mom got to wear pants for a week but if she didn't then she had to go on a date with him."
I realize that I've never really had a date with Chase that needs to change.
"They sound wonderful," Erin says. We continue to play until the sun goes down and Jack and Erin leave.
Erin POV:
We head home hand in hand, "are we going to talk about telling our families about us?" Jack asks.
"Okay, fine let's tell them tomorrow," I say.
"Really? Because if you-" I cut him off my pressing my lips to his, he kisses back then pushes me against a wall, "Jack I love you,"
"I love you too Erin," he says we kiss again he nibbles at my bottom lip asking for entrance I let him in we kiss for a few more minutes but he is ripped off of me, I see my brother holding onto the back of his shirt.
"What the hell is going on?" he shouts.
"I was kissing my boyfriend... duh," I say.
"Your what?" he yells. Then my parents come out.
"What is going on?" my mom shouts.
"Let's go inside shall we," ma asks. We go inside and I sit next to Jack my brother glares at him, "Why were you shouting at your sister?"
"I wasn't shouting at her I was shouting at him," he says pointing to Jack.
"Okay why were you yelling at Jack," mom asks.
"I don't really like to see my sister getting the daylights kissed out of her when I take out the garbage," he says.
"You don't like to see what?" ma asks.
I'm starting to get annoyed, "This!" I shout then I press my lips to Jacks he kisses back a little but I pull away. Then Josh pulls him up and pushes him into the chair across the room.
"Erin how long have...?" mom asks.
"About a year," Jack answers making his presence known.
"Why didn't you tell us?" mom asks.
"Because I knew this would happen! My over protective brother who kills anyone who looks at me," I yell.
"I don't know if this will help my case but I care very much about your daughter, and I don't plan on hurting her in anyway," Jack says.
"Mom, ma, Josh I love him and he loves me. He makes me happy you always say that you want me to me happy... I am." I tell them. I know we only said I love you for the first time but I know my parents are suckers for love.
"We do want you to be happy honey but we have to make some new rules, Jack isn't allowed over if your mom, brother, Alec or I are home and if you go into your room you have to leave the door open. The same goes for Jacks house, are we clear?" ma asks.
"Yes," Jack and I say.
"I am going over to his house so we can tell his parents," I tell them. We walk to his house in silence.
"Mom dad?" he yells, "can you come here? I need to tell you something." They come into the family room and we sit down, "Mom dad Erin and I are dating ," I look over to see his dad handing his mom 10 dollars.
"We bet to see how long it would take for you guys to tell us you are together," my mom said, "we saw you kissing a couple of weeks ago."
"But know that is out in the open we need guide lines, I don't really want to become a grandpa yet," his father says, "Erin can't come over your mom, Alec or I is home, she can go into your room only if you don't lock the door and son, limit the number of love bites, I saw the amount you gave her a couple of weeks ago..." he says I blush bright red a that statement.
"Okay, I am going to walk her home," Jack says taking my hand into his. We leave and head back to my house, "well that went better then expected."
"Yeah, Jack did you really mean it when you told me that you love me?" I ask.
"Of course I did," he says. He walks me to my door.
I hug him, "goodnight Jack I love you."
"Goodnight Erin, I love you too," he gives me a kiss and I walk inside.
When I get in my brother walks up to me, "why were you gone so long?"
"Josh, calm down we just talked to his parents," I tell him.
"You are too young for a boyfriend," he says.
"Mom! Josh is bugging me about Jack!" I yell.
"Josh leave your sister alone." Ma says. He walks away but I know I won't hear the end of this for a while.
Maxon POV:
I've been looking for America for an hour but I finally find her in our room, I hear her singing. I walk in to hear the shower running, I lay on the bed listing to her sing. It's the small thing like this that make me fall in love with her all over again.
