Chapter 30

Charlie POV:
I giggle at the joke that Xander just made, we talk on the phone everyday for about 3 hours, sometimes we don't say anything, we just sit in silence wanting to be near the other. "Char, are you ever getting off the phone?" I look to see my cousin, Astra sitting on the bed next to me.
"I will." I say sadly. "Xander, I have to go. Wedding planning."
"Yea, I should probably go too. I'll talk to you later. I love you Charlie." Xander sounds just as sad as I do.
I smile into the phone, "I love you too Xander." I hang up the phone.
"Wedding planning?" Astra asks.
"Yes. Now come on, lets get Chase. We want to see your dress!"(pictured above) (A/N: that is what I want my dress to look like)I pull her after me.
"You've already seen it," she says.
I shake my head, "not on you!" When we get to my sisters room, I don't even bother knocking, I just barge in. "Sissy, we are going to see Astra's dress."
Chase is on her bed reading, it's raining out today, so she can't see Alec. I haven't told her that it's supposed to rain all this week and most if next week, we will suffer together. "But we've already seen her dress." Chase doesn't even look up from her book.
"Not on her! Lets go!" I say.
"Ugg! I hate dresses." But she gets up and follows us, "I don't want to wear a dress to my wedding. Just jeans and a cute shirt and I'll be good."
I look at her in disbelief, "oh you're wearing a dress, even if I have to walk down the aisle as you."
"Alec wouldn't fall for it," she slaps her hand over her mouth. "Did I say that out loud?"
"Yes," Astra and I say.
"Are you guys getting serious, do you see a future with him?" Astra asks.
I laugh, "considering what she just said, I think she does!" I exclaim, my sister blushes a shade darker then our hair.
"Hey babe!" I turn to see Scott running to us, and kissing our cousin on the cheek. "Where are you girl off to?"
"We are going to see the dress on Astra, and no you can't come, its bad luck." I tell him.
He pouts, "Fine, I'll see you tonight," he says to Astra kissing her lips sweetly.
When Astra walks out, it feels like someone pulled all of the air out of me. "Oh my god! Astra! You look beautiful!" I say. The dress is satin and hugs her waist, giving her amazing curves. It has slight draping and has beading on the front.
"You really do Astra," Chase says.
"Thanks. You guys want to see your bridesmaids dresses?" Astra asks us excitedly. Chase and I both nod eagerly. She brings out a beautiful deep blue dress. It has a sweetheart neck line and goes to the floor.
"Alec," Chase says.
I laugh, "do you think of anything else?"
"I mean, that is the color of his eyes." Chase smiles.
"Well, I'm sure he would love to see you in it," Astra says. "You could tell your mom and dad about him and maybe-"
"No!" Chase cuts her off, "I can't tell anyone, they might hurt him or force me to break up with him. I'll tell them, just not right now."
My mom and dad come into the room, "Astra, you look beautiful." My mom says.
"Thank you Auntie Ames," she smiles down at the dress.
My dad walks over to her and spins her around, "you are so grown up. I can't believe it."
Astra looks at her ring, "neither can I Uncle Max."
"Mom, Dad. Can I talk to you?" Chase asks.
"Of course," my mom says.
"In private." She leaves the room so they can talk in the hallway, Astra and I run over to the door to listen in.
Chase POV:
"Mom, Dad, I want to move my Selection back until I'm 18," I tell them looking them straight in the eye.
"What?" my mom asks.
"Please? Dad, you had yours at 18 and I don't think I will be ready at 17," which isn't true, if Alec asked me to marry me today, I would say yes. "Please can we push it back?"
My mom and dad look to each other and my mom nods to my dad. "Very well, you can have your Selection when you are 18." My dad says, and they turn to leave, "Chase, just to let you know, you will never be ready to do the Selection. You have to dive in head first."
Erin POV:
"Ma, I'm having dinner at Jack's tonight." I tell her as I help her dress the twins for the day.
She pulls a shirt over Sam's head and says, "Okay. Have fun. Tell them we say 'Hi.'"
I pull up Kat's skirt, "there you go Kitty Kat." She smiles at me and takes my hand and drags me into her bed room so I can play with her.
"Hey, E can you watch the babies? I have to run out for a bit." Ma says coming in with Sam on her hip. Sam is still quiet but he is really friendly.
"Sure. Come on Sams, wanna play with Kate and me?" I ask taking him from my ma.
"Put them down for their nap at 1:00 after lunch."
I nod, "where are you going?"
"To get your mom an anniversary present, we are going out of town in a few weeks and you are staying at Jacks," she tells me.
My face lights up. "Really? You are letting me stay there?"
"You and your brothers and sister," she corrects.
"Can I sleep in his room? Please? Nothing will happen-nothing has happened- we will keep the door open. It's the same when we have sleepovers, we share a sleeping bag and-"
She cuts me off, "yes, you can stay in his room. I'll tell Josh not to freak out on you guys."
I stand up and hug her, "thanks mom." Then I take a step back, "why are you so cool with this?"
"I'm a sucker for love, and so is your mom." She laughs and kisses each of our heads and leaves.
Its 11:30 right now, so I head down stairs to make lunch. I make them chicken nuggets and French fries. Its 12:15 by the time lunch is ready. "Kitty Kat, can you and Sams please come down for lunch?" They hold onto the railing as they come down and sit down for lunch.
The doorbell rings and its Jack, "hey, is now a bad time?"
"Well you can't be here because my moms are gone. I'll see you tonight though."
"I guess I have to wait," he kisses me and makes his way to Alec's house.
"Ewin," I hear Kat say from the kitchen.
"What's up Kitty Kat?"
"Where mommy?"
They still haven't figured out that we call my mom, Quinn mom and my other mom, Joy ma. "Ma is shopping and mom is at work, but ma will probably be back soon and mom will be back around dinner."
Sam looks at me, "where J?"
"Probably at his girlfriends house," I tell him ruffling his hair. Josh thinks my moms and I don't know about her, but it's so obvious it's like it is written on his forehead.
Then Josh comes into the house with a girl holding onto his arm and giggling, he stops dead when he sees me and the twins. "I thought you were at Alec's."
"Why would I be there?" I ask.
"Probably because you're always over there or over at Jacks." He says.
I roll my eyes and get out the milk so I can refill Kat's milk. "Who's this?"
"I'm Julia, Josh's girlfriend." She smiles at me.
I smile, "I knew it!" I exclaim as I give the milk to Kat, "you didn't tell ma, mom or I but it was pretty much written on your forehead." I laugh.
"You didn't tell them?" Julia asks.
"Thanks for that E." Josh says tightly. "No, I didn't but I was going to tell them tonight at dinner."
"I'm going over to Jack's tonight," I say.
"Erin!" Josh says.
"Sorry." I turn to face a very mad looking Julia. "If it helps, my mom's and I already kinda knew he had a girlfriend."
"Josh, we've been dating for 3 months and you didn't tell your family?" Julia looks really mad.
"Before you get in a yelling fight, Kate and Sam are right there." I say then I look at the clock, 12:50. "Kitty Kat, Sams, why don't you guys go upstairs and play for 10 more minutes, then naptime." They run up the stairs and I hear them playing. I start on the dishes.
"Jules, it's not that big of a deal." I hear Josh say.
"It is! You've had dinner with my family and you haven't even told yours!" Julia says.
They fight for 5 more minutes when I say, "guys!" they stop and look at me. "Josh just invite her over to dinner tomorrow night and then mom and ma can meet her, but tell them about her tonight." I whisper in his ear.
He nods, "Jules, come over tomorrow night to have dinner and meet my moms, I know they will love you. I'll tell them tonight." She nods and turns to leave but he pulls her arm and presses his lips to her's. They kiss for a while but when they pull apart, she isn't as mad anymore.
I head up stairs to put the twins to bed, "Hey babies, nap time!"
Sam climbs into his bed but Kat makes a break for the door, "no!"
I pick her up and lay her in her bed. "You are going to stay in your bed, okay?"
"No!" she says.
"Katherine," I warn.
"NO!" she screams.
Josh comes up, "she won't nap will she?"
"No, she won't."
Josh goes over to her and picks her up and puts her in Sam's bed, "I take care of them during the day sometimes and this is the only way I can get her to take a nap, at night they do this too." I look down at them, they are holding hands and facing each other. I kiss their heads and close the door after I make sure the baby monitor is on.
When they get up from their naps my ma is home, "mama!" Sam says.
"Hi, baby boy!" she picks him up.
"Ma, I'm going to get ready for Jack's." I head up stairs and take a shower and dry my hair. I put on a light layer of mascara but that's it, I don't like to do anything else. I put on jeans and a cute casual top. I walk down stairs, "Hi mom." I kiss her on the cheek. I look at the clock, "bye mom."
I walk over to his house and knock on the door and his brother Mark answers, "Hey Erin!" he says.
"Hey," I hug him.
"Everyone is in the kitchen," he says closing the door behind me.
"Okay," I head into the kitchen and Jack is talking to his other brother Mike, who looks exactly like Mark.
"Hey, babe." Jack comes over and kisses my cheek.
"Hey guys." I say.
We sit down to dinner and conversation is constant, "my mom's say hi," I tell them.
"How are they? Jack told us about your new siblings, twins right?"
"They are good. Kate and Sam, they are really cute and inseparable." I tell them.
"Is that girl Grace still bothering you guys?" his dad asks.
I shrug, "sometimes but Jack and Alec are always there to help." I smile as Jack places a hand on my thigh. We talk the rest of dinner and Jack walks me home, I fall asleep with a huge smile on my face.
"Ewin," I hear a small voice ask.
I open my eyes to see Kate and Sam's brown ones, "what's wrong?" I ask turning on my light.
"We want to sweep wif you," Sam says. I smile and lift Kate then Sam on my bed, they lay down like they usually do but I'm laying next to them protecting them no matter what.
