Chapter 12

Charlie POV:
"I still can't believe you have a boyfriend," I tell my sister. I found out a couple of days ago.
"Why is that so hard to believe?" she questions, as she puts makeup over a love bite that Alec gave her.
"I don't know. You might want to cover that one up too," I say pointing to another one, "how many did this boy give you?"
She blushes bright red I start to laugh, "What about you?" she asks me.
"What do you mean 'what about me'?"
"Any boys that are catching your eyes?" she asks me.
"No, I don't see any boys!" I explain.
"Ya good point."
"Oh my god! There is another one I tell her," she blushes again. "Dad would kill you if he saw you like this."
"Ya I know. There any others?" she asks me.
"Nope," I say popping the 'p'. We head down to dinner, and are greeted by our cousins, August and April, they are twins. August is a photocopy of Uncle Scott and April is a photocopy of Auntie May. Chase and I came up with their names.
"Chary! Chaey!" April says trying to say our names, the twins are only 2 years old.
"Hi, babies!" I greet them. We sit down for dinner we eat in mostly silence.
"Chase we need to speak to you after dinner," my father says.
"Okay," Chase says. She finishes eating and she follows them to his office.
Chase POV:
"Chase sit," my mother says. I sit on one couch and my parents sit on the other.
"Chase, you will be starting the Selection when you turn 17." (A/N: I know that she is supposed to be older but this works better with my story)
"WHAT?!?" I shout.
"Chase! You do not shout at us!" my father says sternly.
"I'm sorry, it was just a surprise." I tell them.
"We just wanted to let you know," my mother says.
"Just out of curiosity, what if I already met someone I love and want to marry? Not that I have.... If I have a daughter that does..." Please buy it, please! I silently beg.
"Well... I guess it would all depend. But I would have you and your husband meet the boy and decide if that he is a good fit for your daughter," my father says.
"Okay. I'm gonna go up to my room now," I tell them.
"Goodnight dear," my father says.
"Don't call me that!" I yell. My parents start to laugh.
I run upstairs to my sisters room and pound on the door, tears threating to fall. She opens the room and my eyes over flow with tears.
Charlie POV:
"Sissy, what's wrong?" I ask her sitting her down onto my bed, she starts to sob into a pillow.
She tells me but all I can hear is, "Mom and dad... Selection.... don't...Alec.... love."
"Sissy I didn't understand you," I tell her as I rub her back.
"Mom and dad are making me do the Selection. I don't want to, I want to see where my relationship with Alec goes. I think I love him," she tells me.
"You love him don't you?" I ask gently.
"I do. I really do sissy," she sobs, "I know I still have a couple of years..."
"Chase, wait a couple of year and see what happens. Maybe you breakup, maybe you don't." I tell her.
"If we do break up, are you going to be there to pick up the pieces?" she asks.
"Every single one of them," I tell her, "You're not sleeping by yourself tonight."
"Sissy I'll be fine-" she says.
"No, you may have another break down." I interrupt.
Alec POV:
My mom has to take Teddy to the doctors so that means I have to watch Bunny, which also means I have to take her to play baseball with Chase.
"Hey, Bunny we are going to go somewhere today. But you have to keep it a secret, okay?"
"Okay, bubby." She says. I love how we still call each other our nicknames.
"Let's go," I say.
"Jack attack!" Bunny screams when she sees him. He picks he up and spins her around.
"Dude, why are you bring your sister?" he asks as Bunny says hi to Erin.
"I had to, my mom took Teddy to the doctor." I say.
When we get to the field I tell Bunny to wait with Jack and Erin.
"Alec!" Chase yells and jumps into my arms.
"Hey, so you know how you always wanted to meet my family?"
"Yeah...." She says uncertainly.
"Well, my mom had to take Bear to the doctor.... So I have Bunny duty. Is that okay?" She smiles and nods. I take her hand and lead her to Bunny.
Bunny(May) POV: (A/N I know she has the same name as Chase's aunt... but.... It just sounds cute with the nickname bunny)
Alec comes over holding hands with a girl I've never seen before, "Bubby, who is that?"
"This is Chase," he says.
"Hi, what's your name?" Chase says.
"May," I tell her, "I like your hair!"
"Thank you. I like yours too." Then out of nowhere Alec picks me up and spins me around.
"Bubby, please put me down!" I laugh he does.
"Bunny I brought coloring stuff and other things for you to play with while we practice." He says taking my hand and leading me over to a blanket he gives me a backpack full of stuff to do. I take out the coloring book and I start to color. Crack! I hear the loud noise and look up to see Erin running around the field. I see Jack grabbing a bat and swinging at a ball crack! Then Chase goes up to bat and she swings and hits the ball it goes over the trees.
"HOMERUN!!" I hear Alec yell. When Chase slides home, Alec runs over and I thought we was going to just give her a friendly hug, but instead they kiss, on the lips!
"Guys! Keep it PG!" Erin yells, "Alec your sister is right there!"
They break for lunch and we talk, they keep playing till Jack and Erin have to leave. I lay down and close my eyes.
"Is she sleeping?" I hear Chase ask.
"Yeah." They lay down next to me.
"Hey, Alec can I tell you something?" Chase asks.
"You always can," he says.
"I think I might be in love with you."
"I think I'm in love with you too," he says.
"Really?" She asks.
"Yes," he says.
"Alec, I love you."
"Chase, I love you." Then they start to kiss, I know that they are because I opened my eyes, "I need to get her home," I hear Alec say. I close my eyes again.
"Okay. I'll see you tomorrow. I love you," she says kissing one last time.
"I love you too," he says. He picks me up and we leave.
"Bubby, is that your girlfriend?" I ask him.
"Bunny were you awake that whole time?" I nod against his shirt, "Bunny you have to promise not to tell mom."
"Okay, Bubby." Then I fall asleep in his arms.
