Chapter 54

*1 month later*
Chase POV:
I hear Charlie laughing, "when we were little we played pranks on the guards. Of course they were really lame..." she squeezes my hand.
I squeeze back and open my eyes, "Charlie?"
"Chase! Oh my god Chase!" She hugs me, sobbing into my neck.
"How did I get here?"
"Chase," a familiar voice says.
"Alec? What are you doing here?" I ask, suddenly panicking. "You can't be here!"
"Shh.. Stay calm." He says kissing my forehead.
"Please, go get my parents." Charlie says to a maid.
"Charlie, Alec, why am I here?"
"What's the last thing you remember?" Alec asks sitting next to me.
"Playing baseball with you and Erin and Jack." I say. "How did I get here?" I start to sit up but pain shoots through my head, I cry out in pain and fall back on the bed.
"Doctor!" Charlie shouts.
I wince, "don't shout, I have a killer headache."
I look over to Alec, he has tears running down his face. "What's wrong? Why are you crying?"
"Chase!" My mom shouts, running over to me.
Alec moves out of the way and my mom and dad hug me. "My baby, I was so worried about you." She sobs brushing the hair out of her face.
"Can someone please tell me what's going on?" I ask.
The doctor walks in, "Chase, you were knocked unconscious when a baseball hit you in the temple, you also got a stick in your leg."
"Can I sit up?"
Alec presses a button so the head of the bed rises. He sits next to me. "How did this happen?"
"Erin hit the ball and it hit you," he says. "I carried you here."
The doctor and my family explained everything that happened to me. But the one that felt like a punch the the gut was that I've been unconscious for a month and a week.
"'Ase!" Cory shouts hugging me.
"Hey buddy." I say. "So, when can I leave?"
"Not for a while," the doctor says. "We still have to do a few tests."
"Okay," I say. "Can I talk to Charlie and Alec? Alone?"
"Sure honey, but then you should get some sleep," mom says kissing my forehead.
Once the three of us are alone I turn to Alec, "what are you doing here?"
"I carried you here after you got hurt," he says. "I'm so glad you're okay."
"I am too," Charlie says.
A wave of fatigue rushes over me, "Alec can you lay me back?"
"Sure." He smiles.
"We'll leave you to sleep," Charlie says, hugging me.
"Alec... Will you... stay...?"
"Yeah. Yeah, always." He says sitting next to the bed.
"I love you sissy," I say.
"I love you too," she smiles. "Don't do anything I wouldn't do." She winks at us.
Alec is running his hands through my hair, "I love you so much," he says.
"I love you too." I say closing my eyes. "So what did my parents do when you told them about us?"
"Your mom was shocked, of course. As for your dad... he, uh, punched me, in the face."
"Really? Oh my..." I trail off, too tired to continue.
"Shh..." He whispers right by my ear. "Just rest, we can talk when you wake up." He kisses my cheek and lies his head next to my arm.
I'm about to tell him to lie next to me but sleep pulls me in. Just before I fall I hear him say, "my princess has waken from her slumber."
Charlie POV:
I run to Xander's room, I don't even knock, I just burst into his room. "She's awake!" I run and jump into his unexpecting arms.
He stumbles but remains upright. "Really? That's amazing!" He hugs me.
"I know! I can't believe it!" I squeeze his neck.
"I missed you Char," he whispers.
I pull away, "what do you mean?"
"You weren't yourself when she was hurt. And I'm glad you you're back," he kisses my lips lightly.
I hug him tightly again, "I'm glad I'm back too."
*next morning*
America POV:
I'm about to walk into Chase's room to see Alec's head lying on the bed next to Chase's waist and she is playing with his hair. "Alec, I know you've been awake for awhile." I decide to watch them.
"Dammit," he says sitting up. "I missed you doing that."
Chase laughs, "and I'm guessing you missed this?" She pulls him up by his shirt and kisses him.
He kisses her back, when they pull away they rest their heads together. "I love you." He kisses her nose.
She giggles and pulls away. "Sit next to me." Chase moves over so he can sit next to her, she even pulls up the covers for him.
Once he sits down Chase leans against him. "So what are we going to do now?" Chase asks. "Are we going to go public? Or do you want to-"
He presses his lips to her's cutting her off. "Let's focus on you getting better." He kisses her nose again. "We can worry about the details later."
Chase POV:
There is a knock on my door, "can I come in?"
"Sure, mom." I say pulling Alec a little closer.
She hugs me, "I'm so glad you're awake."
"Me too," I say. "So... now what? I mean with Alec and I not my injuries..."
"Chase," Alec says as if scolding me.
I sigh, "fine. So how've you been?" I ask mom.
She laughs, "there's my Chase."
Alec kisses the top of my head.
"I'm serious, mom. How have you been, while I was unconscious."
Mom sits next to me, "not well, but I am alright now." She kisses my forehead.
"Chase!" A voice exclaims from the hospital.
"Sir, miss I must insist that you-"
Alec gets up from the bed. "It's Jack and Erin."
"Mom can you help them?" I ask.
She nods, "Kate, it's alright."
"Thank you your majesty." Erin says really fast then runs over to me. "You're okay! You're really okay!" She exclaims hugging me.
"Yeah, I'm okay." I laugh hugging her.
"I'm so sorry that I hit you." She says, tears running down her face.
"It was an accident, and I'm okay." I tell her.
She pulls away and Jack hugs me. "I'm so glad you're okay." He kisses my cheek.
My mom looks surprised by his kiss.
"Uh, mom this is Erin and her boyfriend Jack..."
"Yes, we met when you got hurt," she says.
"You guys came in?"
"Yeah. We got practically arrested by some guards." Erin says. "And we were brought here and your dad punched Alec. And I was a mess, sobbing all over poor Jack." He laughs.
"So dad really punched him?" I ask my mom.
"He did and got a very good scolding from your sister that night."
"Oh, where is Charlie? I want to see her." Erin says.
"Probably making out with Xander," I say.
"Chase!" Mom exclaims.
Erin and I giggle, "sorry mom."
Charlie and Xander eventually come into my room.
"Boys why don't you let the girls talk some, yeah?" Mom says. "I have to go check on your father." She kisses my forehead.
Once the boys leave Erin turns to face us. "So, Jack and I talked about... you know last month."
"Talked about what?" I ask.
She rolls her eyes, "sex, duh."
"What?!" Charlie and I exclaim.
"What, Charlie you and Xander haven't had sex?" She asks.
"No..." Charlie says blushing.
"Really? Why not?"
"Because we have to stay virgins until our wedding night," I say. "If we were boys it would be a different story..."
"Really? That sucks." Erin says.
"Wait, so you and Jack have..." I ask.
"No, not yet. But soon..." She smiles.
"And you aren't scared?" Charlie asks.
"Not really, but that's because we've talked about it. You and Xander haven't talked about it?"
"No... Not really," she says. "Why should we?" She looks scared.
"No, no." Erin says. "Jack and I are in a different... situation that you guys."
Charlie nods, looking relived.
*time lapse*
The boys walk back in, "what have you girls been talking about."
"You," Charlie, Erin and I say at the same time and peck their lips.
