Chase's POV:
I lay Max down next to his sister. They are only a few days old now. Max squirms around, hitting Amber in the face. "Max, that's not very nice." Alec scolds.
I laugh, "look at you already so protective over her."
"Mommy!" Two-year-old Kyle yells running into the room.
"Kyle!" I hear Sophie exclaim, running after him. "Sorry ma'am, he wanted to say good night to the twins."
"It's alright." I assure her picking up Kyle.
He looks down at his siblings and blows them kisses. "G'night."
I laugh and kiss his temple. "Good boy. Now let's get you to bed. I bet daddy will read to you tonight, if you ask him very nicely."
"Pwease." Kyle begs, looking at Alec with big eyes.
Alec laughs, "how can I say no to that face?!"
"Will you take him and make sure he goes potty before bed?" I ask Alec handing him Kyle. "I'm going to make sure the twins are okay for at least a few hours."
Alec nods. "Of course. I'll see you in a few." He kisses my cheek lightly.
I look down at my babies. "Okay, I think we are all set. Now can you two at least try to sleep all night?" Amber erupts into cries. "Really?" I sigh and pick him up.
I quickly change Amber's diaper and lay her down. "Goodnight my babies."
I run to Kyle's room not wanting to miss putting him to bed. I open the door and Kyle runs over to me, butt naked.
He squeals as I pick him up and turn him upside down. "This doesn't look like bedtime," I laugh.
Alec sighs. "He doesn't want to go to bed."
"'Mommy read!" Kyle exclaims as I lay him on the changing table. I grab a diaper and his pajamas.
"I thought you wanted daddy to read to you." I say.
"Mommy read!" He plays with my necklace, his eyes big.
I lift him up and lay him in his bed. "Alec will you start his alarm?"
"Remind me again why you get him an alarm?" Alec says.
"My mom said that when Charlie and I would wake them up at the crack of dawn, so they got us an alarm clock. We knew that we couldn't get out of bed until it went off." I explain.
Alec grins and laughs. "You are such a mom."
"Read!" Kyle demands, kicking his feet. Alec laughs and lays down next to Kyle, running his fingers through his hair. Which needs to be cut, I notice. I grab one of his favorite books and sit on the bed next to him.
. . .
"Chase, Alec," not expecting to hear voices I jump and turn to face the source. My dad. "We need to talk to you two." My mom stands next to him. Their hands tangled together.
"What's wrong?" I ask, glancing at their faces. "You're scarring me."
When we get to their office, Alec and I sit across from them. "There's a kingdom called Ardonia." My dad says. "They have a son, your age, Chase. When you two were engaged they asked if you, Chase would consider marrying him."
