"I'm gonna be killed," Louis moans, flopping back onto the bed. I prop myself up with my elbows and bite my lip.
"I'm sure they'll understand once you explain to them what happened." I say gently.
"No, I'll probably get punished for getting my car sidelined and abandoning both of us in the winter."
"Louis, you need to calm down. No one is going to punish you. Let's take this one thing at a time. Right now, all I'm certain of is that we both need to sleep. Tomorrow, we will find a solution. Go to bed," I demand, leaning back and snuggling under the covers.
There are a few moments of silence and I actually begin to believe he obeyed me.
"Trey? Will you sleep up here with me?" Louis asks timidly. I freeze, my eyes wide open.
"No! Go to bed," I snap, my voice sounding way calmer than I feel.
I hear Louis grumbling to himself and I roll over. Please insist, I think.

"What if there's no one in this cabin?" Louis asks his blue eyes exhausted.
I roll my eyes but turn to him anyway.
"Will you stop being such a baby? If no one is here, we move on to the next cabin. Have some sense, yeah?"
He glares at me but I ignore him, walking swiftly up to the front door and knocking. I hear shuffling inside and silently cheer. We're going home.
But as soon as the door opens, I can tell that is definitely not the case.
"Hell-" the person who answers stops short, staring at me with her mouth open. I immediately shrink away, almost turning and hiding behind Louis.
"Hell-o..." Louis gives me a weird look before turning back to the woman. "We're kind of stranded here with no cell service nor a vehicle, so we were wondering if you have a landline."
The lady is now shooting daggers at me and I try looking anywhere but her face. Through the open door, I see more girls and I swallow thickly.
"Louis, we should go," I whisper.
"What? Why? We might get help."
"You sure as hell are not getting help from me," the woman says loudly, making me flinch.
"Excuse me? Why not?" Louis demands, hands on his hips. I didn't realize I am clutching his arm until I'm squeezing it nearly to death but he doesn't stop me.
"Trey, what's going on? Why are you being weird?" He mutters to me.
My heart is beating comically fast, but I can't find anything funny in this situation.
"Umm," I hesitate.
"Go ahead, tell him, Trey. Tell him what you did to us," the woman barks, stepping out from the doorframe.
I clear my throat and shake my head, not trusting my voice, and frankly her reaction, enough to speak.
Louis glances between me and the lady until realization dawns on his face. He lets out a breath and clenches his hands.
"Listen, whoever you are, do not talk to Trey like that. Whatever she did to you and your team it's in the past. I suggest you build a bridge and get the hell over it," Louis spits, grabbing my hand and spinning me around.
I almost feel like we can escape before she laughs.
"Oh, Trey. You certainly have been busy. If you're here with him that means you messed up his team too."
