"Hyung! Get me those boots, if it's available," Jungkook yelled from the living room as I was wearing my shoes, "sure, Kook, but you have to pay me later for it," I joked, I heard him groan, "you are a millionaire for god's sake!" he exclaimed. "You are one yourself but you still tape your phone if it's broken," I laughed as I opened the front door and left for the garage.
These boots Jungkook was asking for were from the brand 'paradise' that we were brand ambassadors for, the boots were from the latest edition from last month but he didn't get one yet and he has been complaining about it for 3 weeks already.
I was going to the mall for some shopping as I was free this weekend and felt like going out. I made sure to cover my face properly before getting out of the car. I first stopped by a fast food restaurant and got a burger for breakfast. I sat at the farthest corner and ate my meal. I rarely come out alone like this without bodyguards, after all it is very dangerous.
After my burger I went to paradise, searching for the boots that Jungkook asked for, but it was yet to be put on sale. My next stop was by a kids store. It was my birthday last month and my students got me a lot of gifts, so I wanted to get them something too, but since I was so busy, I wasn't able to get anything for them. I hadn't decided what to get them yet, so I was roaming around, trying to find something.
A stuffie caught my attention and when I went for it, I bumped into a kid, who to my surprise turned out to be Minseo.
"Hello, Minseo," I smile even though the mask was hiding it, she looked at me raising an eyebrow and I remembered she wouldn't be able to recognise me with mask and the hat, I lowered the mask a little and she smiled as soon as she recognised, "Seonsaengnim," she bowed.
Noticing she was all by herself I asked "are you alone?" she nodded, "aren't you scared?" I asked, amused.
She giggled, "every month, 3 weekends I would spend with each member of my family and the other weekend I would be on my own. It's my choice to either come out or stay home," she shrugged. "Wow, you are so brave," I ruffled her hair as she giggled, "I do have bodyguards with me though," she pointed at the entrance of the store and I saw two big men with all black clothes standing there.
"What are you doing in the kid's store, Seonsaengnim? Do you have one?" She seemed genuinely curious, making me let out a laugh. "I am here to get some gifts for my dear students," I patted her head, "you mean for us?" she asked, confused. I nodded, "it was my birthday the week before you came, and everyone gifted me something, so I wanted to give back something," her lips made an 'o' shape as she nodded.
"Found something yet?" she asked, I sighed, "not yet, I can't think of anything."
She seemed to think for a moment before she looked back at me, "it's just a suggestion, you could give them shoes, I noticed most of them don't have proper shoes," she hesitated a bit before she added, "you know how most of your students don't come from a family with strong financial background, so this could be very useful for them." I was impressed by how thoughtful she is, "that's a great idea, I could make arrangements for bringing different shoe sizes to our class and make the students choose their size," I said more to myself.
"Thank you for the idea," I said, ruffling her hair again "your welcome," she smiled sweetly, "did you get what you came for?" I asked her. "I am searching for something for my mother, it's her birthday next month," she said, I nodded in understanding but my head shot up to her when I realized something, "you are searching something for your mother in the kids' store?" I asked.
She laughed, "she likes stuffies, and I can't think of anything else that she would like more." I chuckled, nodding again. She turns towards the stuffies, and back to me after a few seconds. "Minnie mouse or puppy?" she asked, pointing at 2 of them, I looked at them both, "that Minnie mouse is cute," I said.
Seeing the toy reminded me of Soomin, I used to call her Minnie and she once told me when we get older we should get a Minnie and Mickey mouse couple tattoo.
Minseo grinned before she picked it up and went to the register as I followed her. She paid and got the stuffie before turning to me, "what are you gonna do next, Seonsaengnim?" she asked me, her cute eyes looking up at me.
"I have no idea," I shrug, I didn't have anything planned out for today, "if you don't have anything else to do, can we hang out?" I asked, I felt so attached to this little girl that I didn't even think before asking. Her smile grew wider as she nodded, we walked out of the shop and she handed the stuffie to one of her guards, telling him to keep it in the car while the other followed us.
"Do you have something in mind?" I asked her, "well, my mother gave me money this morning when I told her I was coming to the mall, so why don't we go shopping?" she asked. "Sure," I nodded and she started walking as I followed her, "you know, when I was your age, I would never step out of the house without my parents and my mother used to pick out clothes for me," I told her as she was walking. She let out a laugh before turning to me, "eomma told me I should learn to do my own things and be brave enough to go out on my own, so I have been allowed to go out since my birthday this year," she explained.
"Wow, what do you do if you stay at home?" I asked her, "mostly I would dance in my room or try to bake something with the help of the maids," she says.
We were strolling around the mall for some more time, and she finally entered an electronics store. "I want to buy a Bluetooth speaker, will you help me find a good one?" she asked. "I don't know much about it, but we can call Jungkook and ask him, he knows more about speakers than I do," I suggested, to which she eagerly nodded.
"Thank you, Seonsaengnim," she grinned, jumping on her feet.
I called Jungkook and before I could speak he was already asking, "did you get the boots?" "Hello to you too," I say with a straight face, Minseo silently giggled probably finding my expression funny, "I didn't get that kook, but I met Minseo here and she asked me which Bluetooth speaker is good."
He forgot about the boots immediately and started listing a few brands he has used. "God Jungkook, just say one that is the best," I groaned. "Ok fine fine, let me think...." he took a few seconds before answering all the while Minseo was looking at me curiously, almost looking like a little puppy.
After Jungkook finally suggested one Minseo thanked him and we hung up the call, we started searching for the speakers he mentioned. Once we found it, Minseo checked the price and seemed like she was doing some mental calculation before she nodded to herself and picked up the speaker. "What were you thinking?" I asked, "I was calculating how much money would remain with me if I buy this to see if I'll have enough for the dance class's fees."
I simply nodded, I wanted to ask why can't she just ask her mother for more, but I didn't want to make her uncomfortable with more questions.
Hearing Minseo talking about the plans she had made with her grandpa and imo for her mother's birthday, I remembered it was Soomin's birthday coming in a few weeks. She loved flowers so much that I would give her a big bouquet of flowers for every birthday when we were together, even though it would cause me to survive on only ramens for a whole month. Now I am capable enough to fill a whole room with flowers for her but I can't do any of that anymore.
As I walked Minseo to her car a rather absurd thought crossed my mind when I saw the Minnie stuffie again.
I have always been so afraid of needles that I would pee myself if one was close to me, but I don't know where I got the courage from, I willingly stopped by a tattoo studio that Jungkook frequented and to my luck, I didn't have to book a prior appointment since one of the tattoo artists there were free that time. I told him my idea and he gave me a few options to choose from, and after an hour or so, I got myself a tattoo right below my elbow, it was a cute Mickey and minnie.
I could already imagine how shocked the members were going to be, seeing that I got a tattoo.
Even though he broke up, our man is still in love with his ex and even got a tattoo 🤦🏻♀️😭
